There will be the knee jerk tendency to believe the Sabbath is for us. If you believe the Sabbath is for us, I ask that you do two things. 1. Explain why God seemed to say He is no longer in the Sabbaths any longer 2. Give a verse commanding the church to observe the Sabbath

The question is not "what" is your Sabbath rest in the New Covenant? The question is "Who" is your Sabbath rest in the New Covenant? Col 2:16 Let no one, then, judge you in eating or in drinking, or in respect of a feast, or of a new moon, or of sabbaths, Col 2:17 which are a shadow of the coming things, and the body is of the Christ; (YLT) New Covenant Whole Gospel: What the modern Church needs is a New Covenant Revival (Heb. 9:10) in which members of various denominations are willing to re-examine everything they believe and see if it agrees with the Bible, instead of the traditions of men. We need to be like the Bereans. It will be a battle between our flesh and the Holy Spirit. It will not be easy. If you get mad and upset when someone challenges your man-made Bible doctrines, that is your flesh resisting the truth found in God's Word. Nobody can completely understand the Bible unless they understand the relationship between the Old Covenant given to Moses at Mount Sinai and the New Covenant fulfilled in blood at Calvary. What brings all local churches together into one Body under the blood of Christ? The answer is found below. Let us now share the Old Testament Gospel found below with the whole world. On the road to Emmaus He said the Old Testament is about Him. He is the very Word of God in John 1:1, 14. Awaken Church to this truth. Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by husband unto them, saith the LORD: Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Is the most important genealogy in the Bible found in Matthew 1:1 (Gal. 3:16)? Is God's Son the ultimate fulfillment of Israel (John 1:49)? Why has the modern Church done a pitiful job of sharing the Gospel with modern Orthodox Jews? Why would someone tell them they are God's chosen people and then fail to share the Gospel with them? Who is the seed of the woman promised in Genesis 3:15? What did Paul say about Genesis 12:3 in Galatians 3:8? Who is the "son" in Psalm 2? Who is the "suffering servant" of Isaiah 53? Who would fulfill the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34? Who would fulfill the timeline of Daniel chapter 9 before the second temple was destroyed? Why have we not heard this simple Old Testament Gospel preached on Christian television in the United States on a regular basis? Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, man-made Bible doctrines fall apart. Let us now learn to preach the whole Gospel until He comes back. The King of Israel is risen from the dead! (John 1:49, Acts 2:36) We are not come to Mount Sinai in Hebrews 12:18. We are come instead to the New Covenant church of Mount Zion and the blood in Hebrews 12:22-24. 1Jn 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. 1Jn 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. 1Jn 3:24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us. The following verses prove the Holy Spirit is the master teacher for those now in the New Covenant. Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Mar 1:8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost. Joh 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Act 11:16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. 1Co 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 1Jn 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. @@VardyMoss Is the 4th commandment the commandment of God or the commandment of Moses? Was it written by the finger of God or the handwriting of Moses?
This was/ is an unfortunate teaching for several quick reasons. 1. Sabbath holiness began in Genesis 2 when there was no sin or Jews 2. Jesus said in Mark 2:27 that the Sabbath was for man (not Jews) and not man for the Sabbath. 3. Acts 13:42-44, the Gentiles asked to hear from the apostles on the next Sabbath, which means they were not lost on the day. 4. Many languages around the world translate the seventh day as “rest” 5. When the law was given, there was a mixed multitude with them, not just Jews hearing the law. 6. The law states within itself that it is for Jews and strangers. God is good and so is His law.
Well, God had some serious problems with the Jewish people for not obeying him when it came to the law, remember the religious leaders were angry at Jesus for doing things on the Sabbath, such as picking food. When you start commanding Christians to observe something the Jews were to observe in order to be good Hebrews, then you are in danger of being judged on not keeping the whole law.
@@rodterrell304 I doubt that any gentile Christian is keeping the Sabbath according to the Law of Moses. You said there is no command anywhere in the Bible that says we must keep the sabbath. Well, are you saying we should not keep the ten commandments? Also, if you noticed the 4th commandment is the only one that says, "Remember," I wonder why.

Do you actually keep the Sabbath though? You can’t cook, work, go out, you can’t use your phone, use appliances, or drive from Friday to Saturday……so do you actually keep the Sabbath yourself? If you don’t then that makes you a hypocrite because you must keep it the way the Jews do.
The sabbath still applies today. Exodus 31:16 [16]Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. It says to keep it throughout your generations so forever. (You cannot heat up food or boil) Exodus 35:3 [3]Ye shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations upon the sabbath day. (You cannot work nor any of your cattle, children or servants.) Exodus 20:8-10 [8]Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. [9]Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: [10]But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: (We got to gather on the sabbath thats what convocation means.) Leviticus 23:1-3 [1]And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, [2]Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts. [3]Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings. (Jesus kept that sabbath & taught the scriptures & said to follow him.) Luke 4:14-16 [14]And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about. [15]And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all. [16]And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. Jesus being the lord of the sabbath means that he allows certain things but not completely breaking it. As David did eat of the show bread meant for the levites but forgave him due to him being hungry & being a man that followed God with his heart. It also says that leaving a portion of your harvest for the stranger & for the poor so they dint break the sabbath by picking corn but reaping it counts as sin against the sabbath. Leviticus 23:22 [22]And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not make clean riddance of the corners of thy field when thou reapest, neither shalt thou gather any gleaning of thy harvest: thou shalt leave them unto the poor, and to the stranger: I am the LORD your God.

Shalom dear brother Corey, the LORD GOD bless you and keep you. I just wanted to ask you to seek Abba Father concerning this topic. I used to think like you but after 2 years of wrestling with Father, He won, Sabbath was made for man not man for Sabbath. The LORD loves us, His child and has set us an example by resting on this day. If He rested and commanded us to rest, why not try to follow His example if we love Him? He is a good Father, He will not give us the Sabbath rest to harm us. Let us give Him what is His and to Constantine what is Constantine's. Please be careful, in case you are wrong. Remember what JAMES 1:19, 3:1-2. REMEMBER THAT NO ONE HAS ALL THE KNOWLEDGE, IF WE SAY WE KNOW, WE DON'T KNOW. WE MUST ALWAYS LEAVE A ROOM TO LEARN SOMETHING WE DO NOT KNOW. I pray for the protection of your heart, may the LORD GOD, YHWH protect you from the evil one, may He reveal the truth to you. May He give you the grace to humbly seek Him concerning this matter and others that you don't understand. YHWH bless you and keep you, in Jesus Christ Mighty Name.
What did Jesus say about murder and adultry? He made it plain there is a spiritual intent behind them and expects us to use our brains to apply the same to the other commandments. That day was given under another covenant to a people without a means to salvation and devoid of the Holy Spirit so they might think about God at least one day of the week. Now that spiritual intent is not a 24 hour period the 7th day it is keeping your Sabbath every waking moment all week long by having thought and action dedicated to God.

Stay encouraged as you study to understand it by God's true Holy Spirit :). @@smartchristians The Sabbath is the fourth commandment, and Jesus said, “if you love me keep my commandments”-John 14:15. The law of Moses which contained the annual sabbath were placed beside the ark as a witness against the people according to Deuteronomy 31:26. “Why, then, was the law given at all? It was added because of transgressions until the Seed to whom the promise referred had come. The law was given through angels and entrusted to a mediator. A mediator, however, implies more than one party; but God is one.”-Galatians 3:19. The commandments of the Lord written in stone which included the Sabbath day was put inside the ark which represents that it’s eternal. The law of God is a reflection of his character, and his law is perfect, eternal and just according to Psalm 19:7-9 and Psalm 119. Jesus is the Lord of the Sabbath according to Marc 2:28, and he made the Sabbath for man, and not man for the Sabbath according to Marc:2:27. Furthermore; Jesus told his disciples “Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath.”-Matthew 24:20. We will keep the Sabbath day in the new heavens, and the new earth. “And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Lord.”-Isaiah 66:24. For we who have believed do enter that rest, as He has said: "So I swore in My wrath, 'They shall not enter My rest,'" although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. For He has spoken in a certain place of the seventh day in this way: "And God rested on the seventh day from all His works"; and again in this place: "They shall not enter My rest." You have noticed incorrectly. I've been responding primarily to people who disagree and even those with scriptures (it does take time hwever). Now, if you can point to ONE verse that was submitted that commanded the Gentiles to observe the Sabbath?

Was it not spoken as a commandment in the New Testament? Because God's people and the gentiles who followed God's people were already doing that. They were already celebrating in worshipping God. On saturday on his seventh day, so there was no need to emphasize that
2. Acts 20:7 does not say "First day of the week." You can easily see this in the Greek. They met on," One of the Sabbaths," which carried over to the first day of the week. That's where someone fell out a window because Paul carried on to long. No big deal though!
The greek reads τῇ μιᾷ τῶν σαββάτων. It literally means the one or first of the (genitive) of the seven. That can only mean the 1st of the Seven or Week. Therefore the correct translation is the 1st of the week, which is Sunday
@smartchristians Only if you use it in a weekly context. In the gospels it most likely is a seasonal context. First of the Sabbaths, countdown of the Omer. It literally was the first of the Sabbaths! 7 more to go. In Acts? One of the Sabbaths. In Corinthians. On the first Sabbath. You know, first Sabbath of the month. Not that you use that verse to pass a plate around as if that's what Paul is telling you to do on a Sunday. You do know what Paul is actually doing there right? Has nothing to what we do with his letter to the Corinthians.

@jimsime2325 Yes. We know from Scripture the disciples began to keep the first day of the week. Jesus is now our Sabbath rest, and we rest in Him every day. A Bible study in Hebrews, especially Hebrews 4 will explain all this.

Every one is talking about the sabbath day is the 4th commandment I’m curious how do you commandment keepers keep the sabbath? Because there are strict rules and regulations of following the sabbath I want to know who really knows them? Also people love the sabbath day what about the sabbath year? (Leviticus 25:1-7) I never hear anyone talk about it because they it would cause problem for their argument. If you don’t follow the sabbath year then don’t mention the sabbath day, you can’t select what laws you want to follow, you have to follow the whole law.
Exactly, people don’t even keep the Sabbath the way it is to be kept Biblically. They say keep it the way it was done in the OT but they don’t even keep it themselves.
The Bible does not provide strict guidelines concerning Sabbath keeping other than not doing profane work or engaging in activities or discussions that have no biblical value. You're asking all the wrong questions for the sake of catching someone with a "gotcha" argument. Yes, i believe that ALL of the Sabbaths God commanded should be kept, simply because He knows what is good for us and the soil. That's good enough for me.

In the early chapters of the book of Acts, the first Christians were predominantly Jews. When Gentiles began to receive the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ, the Jewish Christians had a dilemma. What aspects of the Mosaic Law and Jewish tradition should Gentile Christians be instructed to obey? The apostles met and discussed the issue in the Jerusalem council (Acts 15). The decision was, “It is my judgment, therefore, that we should not make it difficult for the Gentiles who are turning to God. Instead we should write to them, telling them to abstain from food polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from the meat of strangled animals and from blood” (Acts 15:19-20). Sabbath-keeping was not one of the commands the apostles felt was necessary to force on Gentile believers. It is inconceivable that the apostles would neglect to include Sabbath-keeping if it was God’s command for Christians to observe the Sabbath day. A common error in the Sabbath-keeping debate is the concept that the Sabbath was the day of worship. Groups such as the Seventh Day Adventists hold that God requires the church service to be held on Saturday, the Sabbath day. That is not what the Sabbath command was. The Sabbath command was to do no work on the Sabbath day (Exodus 20:8-11). Yes, Jews in Old Testament, New Testament, and modern times use Saturday as the day of worship, but that is not the essence of the Sabbath command. In the book of Acts, whenever a meeting is said to be on the Sabbath, it is a meeting of Jews and/or Gentile converts to Judaism, not Christians. When did the early Christians meet? Acts 2:46-47 gives us the answer, “Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.” If there was a day that Christians met regularly, it was the first day of the week (our Sunday), not the Sabbath day (our Saturday) (Acts 20:7; 1 Corinthians 16:2). In honor of Christ’s resurrection on Sunday, the early Christians observed Sunday not as the “Christian Sabbath” but as a day to especially worship Jesus Christ. Is there anything wrong with worshiping on Saturday, the Jewish Sabbath? Absolutely not! We should worship God every day, not just on Saturday or Sunday! Many churches today have both Saturday and Sunday services. There is freedom in Christ (Romans 8:21; 2 Corinthians 3:17; Galatians 5:1). Should a Christian practice Sabbath-keeping, that is, not working on Saturdays? If a Christian feels led to do so, absolutely, yes (Romans 14:5). However, those who choose to practice Sabbath-keeping should not judge those who do not keep the Sabbath (Colossians 2:16). Further, those who do not keep the Sabbath should avoid being a stumbling block (1 Corinthians 8:9) to those who do keep the Sabbath. Galatians 5:13-15 sums up the whole issue: “You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love. The entire law is summed up in a single command: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ If you keep on biting and devouring each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.”
@@jimmyfunfun4052 that would be under the heading of sexual immorality which Paul did address. Sexual immorality is anything outside the bounds of how God created us to participate in sexual activity which is within the boundaries of marriage and between one man and one women.
Acts 20:7 was a saturday night meeting. Not a good proof. 1 Corinthians was instructing people when doing their finances or etc. to put away for the ministers. Not proof. Think about this: Acts was written like 20 years or so after its events yet the first day of the week is called 'the first day of the week' but the Sabbath was called the sabbath. If the sabbath was no big deal why would it be called the sabbath still 20 years later. This is probably one of the biggest overlooked proofs taht the sabbath had significance then.

Ofc the Sabbath wasn't one of the things James listed. As Acts 15:21 clearly shows, the Gentile converts understood the fact that observing Sabbath was an existing obligation. That's why James said that Moses was preached and read to them in the synagogues _every Sabbath_ !
The Catholic church has openly admitted in the writings of its clergy that there is no biblical justification for Sunday, and that they do so purely out of tradition. The sabbath was not the day to go to the temple, but the day of rest and honor to our creator. Going to the temple/church was done on the other days. Worshiping, teaching/learning was done on other days like Monday in the early church in some verses.
Jesus grew up under the old law and would have respected the rules and traditions of the old law. If one is to get technical, Jesus did break the physical day sabbath laws.
I just believe it's in the ten commandments for a reason. Does that mean everything else on there is up for grabs? It's not a thing of earning salvation its a way to honor God.

Corey doesn't really get some things correct. Even though the 4th Commandment doesn't mention church assembly on the Sabbath, Leviticus 23:3-4 expounds more on the Sabbath, and it very clearly states that it is the day of "HOLY CONVOCATION". Some translations say "SACRED ASSEMBLY" or "HOLY ASSEMBLY". It also states "WHEREVER YOU LIVE" or "IN ALL YOUR DWELLING PLACES" in some translations. That means not just Isreal/Judea. Just because you cross over the border, doesn't mean it would be invalid. Here I will post Leviticus 23:3-4 in NLT. "3 “You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath day of complete rest, an official day for holy assembly. It is the LORD’s Sabbath day, and it must be observed wherever you live. 4 “In addition to the Sabbath, these are the LORD’s appointed festivals, the official days for holy assembly that are to be celebrated at their proper times each year." This comment is only meant to clarify that the Sabbath is indeed a day of church gathering, and for all locations, not just rest only and for Isreal/Judea only.

We are not Spiritual Israel. Paul in Romans 9-11 indicates a difference between the church and Israel. If we are Spiritual Israel then we have been given a Spirit of Stupor and a partial hardening. I hear it alot....the Sabbath was done away with, along with the rest of the Law. But I dont really believe it. I struggled with it for quite a time, but I keep coming to the same conclusion. If the Law was done away with then why are we still judged for sins commited? Why are we told to run from sin, and why, at the very conclusion of the Bible (Rev 22), are we given a list of those who will not enter into the Kingdom of Heaven? A list that highlights those sins found in OT Law. Sabbath does not fall under the category of ceremonial, moral, or civil law, but it was one of 2 original commandments given at creation, to 1) Be fruitful and multiply, and to 2) Rest on the 7th day. Since this was given to ALL men to observe, and is pre Mosaic Law, and since He never recinded it, it should still be observed AS HE HANDED IT DOWN TO US (not as Emporor Consrantine demanded). But even in the Mosaic Law we find that one line sprinkled throughout the law that says "to be observed throughout you generations". Even Jesus said "not one jot or tittle of the Law will be done away with until Heaven and Earth have passed away". People read a lot of stuff into Paul's writings that are for the most part, vague. While it is true that Jesus didnt really say much about the Sabbath, you have to look at why that is. Look who His audience was. It consisted of almost ALL Jewish people, who had already been practicing Sabbath keeping since Adam and Eve! If He had done away with the practice of Sabbath, He would have never said in Matt 24:20, "pray that your flight not take place on the Sabbath", or " the Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath". There are other verses, but I think I made my point. I believe that the Sabbath is still important to Father God. And not just for the Jews only. Thanks for your time. Be blessed!
Scripture doesn't teach that the law was abolished but rather it was fulfilled by Jesus. Hebrews 4 explains that Jesus is our sabbath and that by being in Him we keep it perpetually. Since God does not create arbitrary rules and regulations, the sabbath was always pointing to Christ and is fulfilled by us when we are in Him.

Your teaching is far from the Bible. This shows you lack of Bible knowledge. There’s 2 set of laws: the “Mosaic Law”written by Moses to govern Israel & the Law God wrote with his own hands. You conflate both and so you teach confusion. Your colo:2:16 explanation is flawed, You claim the new covenant but not the old. 2 things here. The Bible say the new covenant is with the HOUSE OF ISRAEL. Not Gentiles. 2point, the law is perfect, the only reason why the only didn’t work is because of Man’s stiff-neckedness. The law did not change, what was changed pertaining to the law is the location of the law. From stones to our hearts and our mind. For a Gentile to profit from the new covenant, he he’s drafted into Abraham’s seed which means every man that confesses God and is baptized is drafted into SPIRITUAL ISRAEL! By the spirit and the spirit only No one is saved by the law, but because we are saved, grace teaches us to keep the law and turn from our wicked ways. ie: stealing, killing, etc… According to the Bible, the Evening and the morning is the first. So the disciples worship all day on the sabbath all the way into Sunday evening. When the sun sets, the next day begins! I’m sorry you teach this stuff because there’s sooo much information about the sabbath but you only want to talk about the scriptures that you think suits your own theology. This is the issue with media today, you get to go on a rant with your teaching with no push back, no debate, and so people who don’t study the word of God latches on to your spoil milk like babies because it sound good. Do more research sir. Search the word Sabbath throughout the Bible and see there’s 2 applications, 1 teaching of the Feast sabbaths, and the other the 10pm and ent sabbaths. With the feast and festivals, God ask the Israelites to keep holy this day like they the keep the 7day holy. So scriptures like col 2:16 deals with FEAST SABBATHS. Not the 7th day sabbath. How is it you teach to not steal, not kill, not fornicate but with those set of laws there’s 1 that says keep the 7th day holy unto God! But then you say the laws aren’t to be kept, see how confusing you are? There’s scriptures that says no one how sin against the Laws of God with be in heaven! No one! Not no Israelite! Which takes me to my last point. The scripture states that the sabbath was made for MAN! Not Israelite! It is for man to rest in God and to remember what God has done for past Generations and generations to come. Those who will be saved oh God’s kingdom will be those who keep his laws! But you teach not to keep the laws! Do you research! Study the word before you teach it. Respectfully I observe the sabbath because it is one of the 10 commandments I do not see it as mosaic law. I see people referencing the gospels to try to say that was Jesus showing sabbath is not to be observed anymore. throughout the gospels when Jesus corrects them multiple times for trying to attack him for healing on the sabbath day to my understanding he was teaching them the meaning of the sabbath. A day to be kept holy which is to do the will of God to do good things. Not to be profaned by working to make money as they did in Nehemiah 13:15-21. It’s a day to rest from our carnal labors. If you believe I’m wrong don’t be disrespectful it’s not a salvation issue. To be clear the apostles addressed this in acts 15 so it’s not a big issue. But If it was merely another of the 600+ mosaic laws I wouldn’t think it would be listed in the 10 commandments given by God.
So do I :) Before there was jew or gentile God made the seventh day holy and is one of the 10 commandments. There is no passage in the bible that says the sabbath has become obsolete.

@@smartchristians Matthew 5:17-19 Fulfilled in this context means to bring to full expression = show it forth in its true meaning. It doesn’t mean to end or abolish. Jesus said the sabbath was made for man (Mark 2:27) meaning that God gave the sabbath to mankind as a blessing…as a day of rest. Speaking of future tribulation, Jesus said to pray that your flight may not be in winter or on a SABBATH (Matthew 24:20). Why would this matter if the sabbath is done away with? Early believers observed the sabbath Acts 17:2; 18:4; 16:13; 13:13-52 Also Acts 15:21 assumes that gentile believers would be keeping the sabbath as they attend service to learn about the commandments Gentile believers are adopted into God’s people/covenant and therefore we have become a part of Israel. Rom 11:17-24, Ephesians 2:11-13, 19, Isaiah 56:3, 6-7, Numbers 15:15-16, Leviticus 24:22 God’s commandments are for every believer who desires to serve Him it’s not just for the Jews. Keeping the law does not bring salvation. Salvation comes through faith in Jesus our messiah who died for our sins and was buried and was resurrected on the third day. However once saved we must walk in obedience to God’s Word (1 John 2:4-5)
You must then keep that same energy with The NEW COVENANT it was given to ISRAEL also.JER 31:31,HEBREWS 8:8....And also why did jesus kept the SABBATH WHEN HE WAS born If it was over.THIS SAD.
He literally says one day (including Saturday or the Sabbath) may or may not be regarded above another. Your choice. But if that's not what he's talking about, then what is he speaking of?
@smartchristians However, all in reference to what one can or cannot eat. So, Paul is referring to certain days which are about eating or not eating something. No reference to the Sabbath! That would be an assumption inserted into the text. That's twisted scripture to cancel out a Commandment. That's taking away from God's Word.
No, twisting scriptures would be to say what it doesn't say. Paul describes people regarding the day and not regarding the day above another. He describes someone eating and someone not. In in the passages he never says one is right or wrong. He simply says, each person must be convinced in him mind. In reference to the days, it would be impossible for Paul to not have one of the seven days (the Sabbath in mind). What other day throughout the week would one regard over another.
I remember how after listening to three different testimonies of three different people who were all hard workaholics working all the times without days of rest at all, who got a clear rebuke or even a command to stop doing it, and to begin to keep the sabbath day, to choose one day per week most suitable for them and rest on it, then I understood that the sabbath day is still valid. However, the reason why easily 99% of Christians do not believe in sabbath day is that they do not even understand that have their sabbath day and even more than that, they have a whole 2 days per week, Saturday and Sunday, as days of rest and this is why God does not rebuke them anyhow for not keeping the sabbath day because they have twice the amount of rest per week that God gives us. So, the sabbath day is most definitely still valid but only true workaholics who works all the times, every single day in a week 365 days a year, like these guys I know (from the internet world) who get a clear rebuke or warning from God to stop working like that because it will exhaust them and harm them and begin to keep one day per week as a day of rest.
Malachi 3:6 I am the Lord, I change not. This is his word. One of the popular 10 commandments " Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy" Please remember that this is a command, not a suggestion. You making a video and saying you don't keep the sabbath means what? That's between you and God. Having said that, will you also say " I murder, I don't see a scripture telling the church not to murder " You are wallowing here in your own folly and to that end I leave you to yourself.
God doesn't change, so we should still kill sabbath breakers? We should circumcize, and observe new moon days and passover? After all, He changes not right?
What about Hebrews 10:25? The priests were permitted "work" on the Sabbath. Paul taught in the synagogues on the Sabbath doing his priestly work as was their custom. They assembled on the Sabbath.
Thank you Corey for breaking this down - I appreciate you brother in Christ! So I have a question I hope you can help me understand - We are not to follow the traditions of men (mankind), why do many many Christians celebrate thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, changed to Resurrection Sunday, yet, still implementing worship to Ishtar? God bless I love this channel and its content. In Acts 20:6-7 they sailed away after the Days Of Unleavened bread. After that feast comes the Day The Day Of First Fruits (Yom Bikkurim) and Shavuot (Pentecost). We count the Omer for 49 days for seven weeks. In Acts 20 verse 7 the word Sabbaton is replaced by the word Week. Sabbaton 4521 Gr is translated into Sabbaths. The "on" at the end of the word makes it plural. Acts 20 verse 7 should have read "Now on the first of the Sabbaths...". Every week during Shavuot (Pentecost) is a sabbath. Plus the word "day" has been italicized. Meaning, it was added to Acts 20 verse 7.
There will be the knee jerk tendency to believe the Sabbath is for us. If you believe the Sabbath is for us, I ask that you do two things.
1. Explain why God seemed to say He is no longer in the Sabbaths any longer

New Covenant Whole Gospel:
What the modern Church needs is a New Covenant Revival (Heb.
Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by husband unto them, saith the LORD:
Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
(John 1:49, Acts 2:36)
We are not come to Mount Sinai in Hebrews 12:18.

This was/ is an unfortunate teaching for several quick reasons.
1. Sabbath holiness began in Genesis 2 when there was no sin or Jews
2. Jesus said in Mark 2:27 that the Sabbath was for man (not Jews) and not man for the Sabbath.
3. Acts 13:42-44, the Gentiles asked to hear from the apostles on the next Sabbath, which means they were not lost on the day.
4. Many languages around the world translate the seventh day as “rest”
5. When the law was given, there was a mixed multitude with them, not just Jews hearing the law.
6. The law states within itself that it is for Jews and strangers.
God is good and so is His law.
Amen
Is the Sabbath still blessed and sanctified today or has God unblessed it?

Shalom dear brother Corey, the LORD GOD bless you and keep you.
I just wanted to ask you to seek Abba Father concerning this topic. I used to think like you but after 2 years of wrestling with Father, He won, Sabbath was made for man not man for Sabbath. So the rest of the commandments shouldn't be honored such as thou shalt not kill or commit adultry? Be careful sir!!!

The Sabbath is the fourth commandment, and Jesus said, “if you love me keep my commandments”-John 14:15.
The Sabbath day was never abolished, it was the annual sabbaths that were abolished at the cross. Those sabbaths were apart of the ceremonial laws of the Jewish nation.
Notice he says “all flesh” not just “the Jews”..
Jesus came to fulfill the law, and the prophets; he did not come to destroy. Which was further shown in the vision some of the disciples received when they saw Jesus next to Moses and Elijah.
“Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”-Matthew 5:19.

The Promise of Rest
Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it. For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it. For we who have believed do enter that rest, as He has said:
"So I swore in My wrath,
'They shall not enter My rest,'"
although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. For He has spoken in a certain place of the seventh day in this way: "And God rested on the seventh day from all His works"; and again in this place: "They shall not enter My rest."
Since therefore it remains that some must enter it, and those to whom it was first preached did not enter because of disobedience,.
Those who put their faith in Christ have entered into this rest

How do you keep the Sabbath
This makes no sense. 1. There is no such thing as the first of the sabbaths not referring to days. If so, what Sabbath would that be and please give a scripture. Secondly, they were gathering to break bread. Were they doing so on some special Sabbath (not Saturday) that the Bible never speaks of?

The sabbath was not the day to go to the temple, but the day of rest and honor to our creator. Going to the temple/church was done on the other days. Worshiping, teaching/learning was done on other days like Monday in the early church in some verses.
the main question is, if our Lord and savior Jesus Christ kept the sabbath, how can we say we are followers of Christ and do not?

4 “In addition to the Sabbath, these are the LORD’s appointed festivals, the official days for holy assembly that are to be celebrated at their proper times each year."
This comment is only meant to clarify that the Sabbath is indeed a day of church gathering, and for all locations, not just rest only and for Isreal/Judea only.

We have been grafted in and therefore their laws/instructions become our laws/instructions. That is of course if we call ourselves followers of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; who by the way observed the sabbath
Corey, let me applaud you for a study and presentation well done.
I suggest the listeners to watch this several times to grasp what you’re saying.
Sabbath is rest.
Jesus said
”Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.“
Matthew 11:28 KJV
”Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.“
Matthew 5:17 KJV
Sacrifice, laws and worship are now centered through your faith and finished work of Jesus Christ on the Cross.
We he said “it is finished” there’s nothing left ceremonially, lawfully or physically you can nor should try to do.
Finally when he said
”Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:“
John 11:25 KJV
Says no law will or can get you to heaven, only Christ.
Don’t be a Pharisee. The letter of the law will deter you from Christ which will lead you to eternal death.
Yes, Hebrews 4:9! That is why I honor The Sabbath. I can't wait! Thank you Jesus for The Sabbath! I love the 4th Commandment. A day off given by God with the assurance of the death to the American Dream. His Kingdom come, His will be done! Bye, bye Mrs American Pie, drive that Chevy to the levy, cuz the levy is dry.
Is that what that song was referring to???? 😮
@lcam9241 No. I'm taking it out of context but! If this ain't suicide of a nation, I don't know what is.
Practicing Sabbath you are healthy no practice Sabbath you will be stressed out. Jesus never said don't practice the Sabbath.
@XGMC921 Especially on Sunday! Now Pepe down at the 7/11 workin 3rd shift on a Friday night just so he can pay the bills might not honor it but, that's cool, at least he can remember it, while drooling at us that can actually honor and enjoy it. Sunday is not The Lord's Day and is not a Christian Sabbath.
Hebrews 4:4. Like hook of Jsmes, is for Hebrews, actuslly.
James comes out, "to all 12 tribes scattered abroad"
These books are TO us, but not FOR us.
Do you start the Sabbath on Friday evening the way you are supposed to? You can’t cook, work, go out, you can’t use your phone, or drive from Friday to Saturday……so do you actually keep the Sabbath yourself?
Yes

A slight discrepancy to what you said above. Every man must be fully convinced in his mind about this topic. For those who keep the Sabbath as it was handed down, they should not be held in less esteem as those who decide not to keep this practice. That is also scriptural. My belief is that Jesus came to challenge the practices of the rabbis, who heaped ordinance upon ordinance concerning the Sabbath. I could go on and on for days, and it wouldn’t be of any profit to either you or me, so I will end it here.
Say what u want i will keep my Father's sabbath till i meet Him!
9:50 no sabbath command because Paul and Apostles were observing sabbath
Still doesn’t make sense why they would mention everything else except sabbath breaking in the New Testament
Do you mean besides all the lessons Yahushua gave the Pharisees about healing on sabbath? Think about this. When Yahushua told Jews to repent, what was the current law? What do they have to repent of breaking besides Torah?
Your teaching is far from the Bible. This shows you lack of Bible knowledge. There’s 2 set of laws: the “Mosaic Law”written by Moses to govern Israel & the Law God wrote with his own hands. You conflate both and so you teach confusion.
Your colo:2:16 explanation is flawed,
You claim the new covenant but not the old.
By the spirit and the spirit only
No one is saved by the law, but because we are saved, grace teaches us to keep the law and turn from our wicked ways. ie: stealing, killing, etc…
According to the Bible, the Evening and the morning is the first.
Trust me when you do study it properly line upon line precept upon precept, you yourself would realize the none sense taught today.
I love you brother, but you are far from truth with this study and many studies you’ve even this week.
Thanks for coming. I quoted Romans 3:31 , but the server won't allow it. God through His children of light will shine the truth out . Amen
Feel free to Keep the Law. Just keep all of it

I do! The ones written with God’s fingers…
Intelligent response by you.
You are no longer in ignorance brother.
To every soul will come the searching test: Shall I obey God rather than men? The decisive hour is even now at hand. Are our feet planted on the rock of God’s immutable word? Are we prepared to stand firm in defense of the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus? -
Question why the 4th commandment hated and the first day of the week held sacred @ called The Lords day “ r
The Ten Commandments system has passed away the system of love has come now no need to keep the shadows I don’t get what people don’t understand
Rom. 8:7 shows why: carnal-minded don't want God to rule over them. It's easier for fake Christians to prefer Sunday over the commanded Sabbath because they view the weekend as being their time. When Sunday comes, they figure they're just as good with God by only giving up a few hrs at the most and then do whatever they want after that. Despite their assigning sacred status to Sunday, they don't even keep the whole day holy.
Ok! I'm confused! Should "Gentiles" not follow the "Laws" given to Moses? How about literally taking a day to rest and rejuvenate mind, body and spirit! I observe the Jewish Sabbath. Why? Cause Y'shua did. I find many contradictions in everything you are saying. Shalom & Blessings...
Do you start the Sabbath on Friday evening the way you are supposed to? You can’t cook, work, go out, or drive from Friday to Saturday……so do you actually keep the Sabbath yourself?
Emperor Constantine worshiped Sol Invictus the sun god on Sunday and changed the day of worship from the 7th day which the 1st century church observed to Sunday in the 4th century AD.
Most days of the week and months are named by pagans. Holidays are also pagan….should you just stop living? You just use discernment and live your life based on scripture. People are not worshiping the sun unless they are in rebellion against God.
@@Romans6_23 God says in Ezekiel that the ppl who reject His Sabbaths are chasing after idols. In light of all the anti-Sabbatarian arguments i have ever seen, i understand why that is the case. A person has to willfully elevate their own will in His place and then demand otherse to believe them over God. Even if Sunday keepers weren't worshiping the sun(and they _are_ ), they're engaging in what Colossians calls "will worship".
@@theeternalsbeliever1779 You are literally saying that the disciples and the early church were worshiping the sun….😑 You have a distorted understanding of scripture.
@@Romans6_23
Romans worshiped the sun and when they took over the church around 325 AD during the first council of Nicaea they changed the day of Christian observance to a pagan day of worship.
@@chaplainsoffice6907 False. The Bible says that the disciples and other believers would gather to worship on the Lord’s Day because that was the day of Christ’s resurrection. This practice started about 200 years before the Council of Nicaea. Read: John 20:1, Acts 20:7, Revelation 1:10.
Thanks
Thank you
I believe we ought to keep the sabbath as Jesus kept the sabbath not for the just the Jews or seventh day adventist its never been done away with change to sunday we don't a free pass to violate the sabbath as christians by doing common work or secular activities on the sabbath furthermore its a holy set apart to get closer to God.
Thank you for your comments; however I disagree because Jesus was an example for us while He was on earth and the Bible tells us that it was his custom to go to the synagogue on the Sabbath day. Luke 4:16-22 The gospel of Mark also tells us that when the Sabbath came, Jesus went into the synagogue and began to trach.
Why obey any of the other commandments then?
You obey what the scriptures tell us. Did it tell YOU a gentile to keep the sabbath? No. Did you hear what was taught in the video?
We are under the Law of Christ, the moral law is written on our hearts.
Every commandment from the Old Testament that we must obey has also been reiterated in the New Testament. The commandments that were not repeated or reiterated are not for the church
Thanks!
Well Exodus 35:2 says whoever does work on the Sabbath should be put to death. I don't see those people who keep the Sabbath stoning non-sabbath keepers in their family to death.
The New Covenant makes it the civil authorities' responsibility to do carry out the death penalty. Anti-Sabbatarians love making this argument like it somehow proves Sabbatarians are hypocrites, but it only proves how ignorant, rebellious, and deceitful anti-Sabbatarians are. Ancient Israel was both church and state, so the entire community was given the task of carrying out the death penalty.
Dear Brother Corey , with all due respect, you should reconsider your understanding of Isa. 1:11-15/Hosea 2:11-12/Lam. 2:6. YAH is through with THEIR sacrifices and offerings, not HIS Laws, Statues, and Commandments which includes The Sabbath. Must read and study HIS TORAH(WORD) in proper context.

Matthew 5:17-19
Fulfilled in this context means to bring to full expression = show it forth in its true meaning.
Early believers observed the sabbath
Acts 17:2; 18:4; 16:13; 13:13-52
Also Acts 15:21 assumes that gentile believers would be keeping the sabbath as they attend service to learn about the commandments
Gentile believers are adopted into God’s people/covenant and therefore we have become a part of Israel.
Rom 11:17-24, Ephesians 2:11-13, 19, Isaiah 56:3, 6-7, Numbers 15:15-16, Leviticus 24:22
God’s commandments are for every believer who desires to serve Him it’s not just for the Jews.
Keeping the law does not bring salvation. Salvation comes through faith in Jesus our messiah who died for our sins and was buried and was resurrected on the third day. However once saved we must walk in obedience to God’s Word (1 John 2:4-5)
Where do you get the Sabbath day in Romans 14?
16:56 we have liberty from the flesh, we are free from sin, we can overcome sin
You must then keep that same energy with The NEW COVENANT it was given to ISRAEL also.JER 31:31,HEBREWS 8:8....And also why did jesus kept the SABBATH WHEN HE WAS born If it was over.THIS SAD.
3. Nowhere in Roman's 14 does Paul state he is referring to The Sabbath. He's talking about something else.
So it’s about finding loopholes? Once you find it, it up to your own interpretation?
Thank you for clearing this up!! It was much needed.
What about Hebrews 10:25? The priests were permitted "work" on the Sabbath. Paul taught in the synagogues on the Sabbath doing his priestly work as was their custom. They assembled on the Sabbath.
I think we should listen to all God commands.
16:30 context of James 2 was partiality. Can you be partial if you don’t want to keep the law?
I'm glad you covered this because I was just talking to someone about this topic
If i may ask what do you think of John Anosike?
Thank you Corey for breaking this down - I appreciate you brother in Christ!
So I have a question I hope you can help me understand - We are not to follow the traditions of men (mankind), why do many many Christians celebrate thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, changed to Resurrection Sunday, yet, still implementing worship to Ishtar?
What about the second commandment "Do not make for yourselves graven images etc- thank you for your response beloved; Warm regards to your Mrs & your entire family -!😊
