Zero Gardevoir actually, he embraces her after PHYSICALLY STOPPING her from choking herself (2:45) so i personally don't think he's a personalization of her depression, but perhaps a concerned friend or boyfriend outside of school.
TBH I never actually imagined that death can bring your desired happiness. It's different for different people, I know that, but I didn't expect the song to go to that direction.
JansTheRush - YT Surfer Imagine a world with only black and white where you are hated by everyone. Nobody likes you,you get bullied and at the same time dealing with school,and possibly problems at home,and it goes on for a year. That’s how people depressed see the world.They think there’s no way out,nobody can help,nobody cares,they don’t have ANYTHING.And don’t start talking about friends and family,they mostly have no friends and their family are sometimes one of the reasons they want to kill themselves.So after a year or so this continued,they will think it’s better off they’re dead,all their problems will be gone,they don’t want to “try” anymore because it’s “useless” and too painful. ...I don’t know why I’m explaining this to you;v;
@@redwolftrash I think he is her depression, because in my opinion what's happening there is that she's choking herself, but suddenly changes her mind and hits him because she wants to keep "rolling", which would make sense since while that's happening, she says that she wants to hold her breath for now, and that something will happen soon. However, when he hugs her, it shows that her depression has become one with her, and she can't take it anymore and commits suicide. Also, that end part has also been translated as "Stop breathing, now." which could be her depression telling her to kill herself.

Lendri This song actually means moving forward. People think in the the end, the depressed girl kills herself but actually the one who dies is her personality who wanted to die. The voice in her head, the boy, 'kills' that aspect of her, allowing the other girl to be free and get another chance at life.
rest in peace, wowaka 💖 this song means the world to me, and it’s helped me get through some hard times. i hope he can rest well knowing that he touched so many peoples hearts.
My interpretation of this song: I think when she says "I'll roll again" it means "no, I'll try again. Today could be a better day. I'll give life another try". And also the boy you see in this video is her depression personified and he pulls her in with empty promises telling her she'll be safe with him when really he leads her to her death (I'm gonna take that last bit where they're hugging as her embracing her death and accepting it). Eventually it just became to much... and she accepted that it wasn't going to get any better. She accepted that she was stuck with it. But if you're reading this comment and you think that too then please don't believe it. The depression is wrong. I've also suffered from depression and I understand. There is no way to describe what it's like. But you've got to keep going. Honestly, I look back on that time when my depression was at its worst and I compare it to now and it really is better. I'm still working on getting better. Please don't give up on life. Keep rolling.
Chloe LastName i think he's a friend of miku's outside of school mainly because at around 2:45 miku attempts to choke herself (black sleeves; boy is wearing WHITE) and he smacks her hands away and pulls her into a hug...if he was imaginary and a personalization of her depression, would he have done that and wouldn't it have not affected her? the end to me could also be interpreted as her admitting she needs help instead of ignoring and "rolling one more time" to see if life gets better with just herself to rely on since she has no friends at school.
I don't think he's stopping her there, I think its metaphorically the depression consuming her all together. "I want to stop breathing..." the "you must be tired now, right" Probably meaning to give up.
Man.. Thanks for the last words. This made me cry. Im in the worst time right now im feeling lonely and forgotten but i also hope and try every fucking day that it will be better someday.
There's a common phrase for when people ask how you are doing, one replies that they are "rolling with the punches." (If you have never heard this before, it's basically saying that I'm not dandy, everything is hard, but I'm still fighting or hanging in there) The girl is called "Rolling Girl" not because she is actually rolling, but she's is rolling with the punches, and when life gives her mighty strikes, and the depression she is struggling with is making it harder and harder for her to keep rolling with the punches, and I believe you can see her struggles illustrated as being injured (as seen here 1:52 , 2:17 , 2:34 , 2:42 ) It can be real harm, or it could be metaphorical, that is all up to how one views the hurt, but I believe it's all to show what she has gone through by "rolling with the punches." The video is always what we try to make it, but this is my take on what it means to "roll" in the video. Sorry, I know my grammar sucks, and also that guy really is cute (there you have the 90%theory and the me saying he's aight comments in one comment!! The whole shabang !) Only kidding! Coming back to this means so much for me, this song and many of wowaka's works has done and stucked throughout my life, through the darker part of my days, and i'm very grateful for the existence of this song. I can't say much, but may wowaka rest in peace. Thank you for shaping the childhood of mine and many others 💐💐
Everyone is saying how that boy is the personification of her depression. But if she’s depressed and trying to “roll” to keep going even if she’s depressed then maybe it’s hurting her. It hurts to try to push it down and keep going. It’s exhausting it tears at you. And when someone asks if you’re okay you feel like you’re over exaggerating it even though you’re in agony. It becomes unbearably lonely even if you’re surrounded by people. You lash out at the people you love like when she wraps her hands around his throat. I think he was trying to gently show her he was there. That he cared. You can see it when he’s chasing after her while she’s rolling. She comes back bloody and in bandages. It becomes frustrating when someone you care about doesn’t take care of themselves and punishes themselves for existing. And I think that frustration came to a head when we finally see her try to hurt herself explicitly when she puts her hands around her throat. He finally couldn’t stand to passively suggest that he was there for her and so instead he Let her know through explicit words and actions. That she wasn’t alone. I don’t think he’s her depression he’s someone who wants to help her fight it... At the end she was finally honest with him and herself about how bad she’s gotten. But now she doesn’t have to face it alone. So if you’re depressed, please know there’s someone who cares about you. Your depression will tell you that there isn’t. That you’re worthless. Who would care about you anyways? But there is. There always is. If not someone close to you then me. Or someone you haven’t even had a chance to meet yet. Please. Take care of yourself. Keep going but don’t push yourself to the point that Rolling Girl did before reaching out for help. You deserve better than that.
That one part when you said like “it becomes frustrating when someone you care about dosent take care of themselves and punishes themselves for existing”, i have a friend whos like that and it really does hurt to see him like that.. i try to help but it dosent do much and i get really worried.. its just hard to always be there since im also struggling myself, but i try my best to make im feel better..
RIP Wowaka 😢 Thanks for creating many good songs. Rolling girl is one of my favourite, I remembered listening to this song when I was in middle school.
Rip wowaka, actually rolling girl was my first vocaloid song that is also my favourite, thanks to bring this masterpiece in this world, Have a long journey there, we'll miss u....
This song is about a girl who doesn't want to die in fear that she'll miss out on happiness in the future, so she lives another day and keeps trying over and over again to reach the future that will never come, ultimately driving herself to her breaking point.
I think by rolling , the girl means "I'm going to try today too." But she just can't do it , and the voice in her head (I think ) is that guy who tries to comfort her. But instead , she loses her mental stability ( I think , coz of the scene she tried to strangle him ) , but she does want to "roll" again . In the end , she's understood how to escape her (um... sorrows?! ) , and that's to die ( commit suicide , I think). The scariest scene (Yeah , yeah , it's me , thinking ) was the last one in colour. It was like she finally gave up and death was grasping her . I cried a lot.
Rolling Girl its self is a phrase used to show that after given permission, a person will kill themselves. The song is about a girl who is bullied and starts to either self-harm or is physically bullied (in the PV we see her physical state worsen, she is covered in bandages and has a bleeding nose. Again another thing in the PV for the song, we see a boy who we think is the person who is keeping her from killing herself (her friend or someone who loves her) But if we look at the official english for the song, it appears as if Miku is reluctant to do what her 'friend' is telling her to do. He keeps saying "how about now? and Miku keeps replying with "just a bit longer and we should see something soon"(
Some people doesn't understand what depression is. And for all people who ACTING like having depression, what u have know is a fake depression. People who had a real depression won't expose like they had even tho they are. I start to learn what depression is from the song, I'm finding the meaning and yes, the meaning is deep. Thanks wowaka .. we gonna miss u and never forget you. Rest in peace. Thank You ..
wowaka, thank you. words will never be enough to express how much your music has influenced me and changed my life. it may sound silly, i know, but you were one of the first people that introduced me to vocaloid. but that aside, your music has helped me through difficult times and that alone makes me so grateful to you. thank you, thank you so much for sharing your art with us i send my condolences to your family and friends. i know that they’ll the ones having the most difficult time, and in case any of them is reading this just know that you’ll make it through it, i know that it’s tough and that you probably don’t wanna hear it, but these things takes time, take all the time you need to mourn and pick yourself back up again. hang in there. once again, thank you so much for everything
I think the beauty of this song is that it can have many interpretations and it can speak to a person in different ways. In my interpretation I feel this was a story about Miku, a lonely girl, who was in search of happiness, self acceptance or comfort or some kind. She keeps searching for this particular something that will bring color into her life but can't find the right answers and her search always ends up wrong and just hurts her along the way. The dream that she has been chasing is far fetched, it could be something completely out of her capacity to achieve or it could be something that she herself isn't sure is out there, and after numerous tries she has still never found the correct answer to her happiness, the colors of her life. All the while in her search for her dreams she keeps lying to herself that it's not hard on her at all and she can roll once again and try to achieve her goal, even though it's so tough on her. One part of her keeps saying "no probelm" I can do this one more time, I'm not hurt it's okay I'll roll once again. The other part of her keeps saying "are you happy yet?" Aren't you satisfied with how you are? Are you okay now? She keeps saying to that voice that she will try just once more to find her true happiness and attempts to quiet that voice down (which was portrayed by her choking the guy at 1:40) By the end of it all she is badly bruised and is at the verge of giving up on her quest for happiness (portrayed by her choking herself at 2:49) Here is when the other side of her has had enough and in the end hugs her and comforts her saying "Are you alright now? It's okay. You must be tired right" She didn't have to change anything or do anything to look for the colors in her life. She had it inside her all along, she just had to accept herself and say it's okay, it's alright as things are. Once she accepted her own struggles in life and also accepted that she doesn't have to push herself so hard to make herself happy, she was at peace.
I personally believe that "rolling" means that she is going through the motions of life but isn't truly living. Depression is a serious condition and can make people feel dead, not necessarily sad but empty.
The lonely girl is forever dreaming of something she can't reach and Churning, churning the insides of her flustered mind. "There's no problem." she mutters; has she lost her words? Another failure, another failure. If it ends in search of the mistakes, once again, she'll spin! One more time, one more time. "I'll roll today too." The girl says, the girl says While playing with the meanings in her words! "Are you all right now?" "Not just yet, because there's still a long ways to go and I can't see the end. Stop breathing, right now." The rollingirl is but a mere shadow of who she once was, unable to reach the colour on the other side The overlapping voices mixing, mixing with each other. "There's no problem." the words she muttered were lost. How can she possibly turn out fine when The hilly roads entice her and cause her to make mistakes. One more time, one more time. Please let me roll The girl says, the girl says While silently repeating her meanings! "Are you all right now?" "In just a little longer, we might be able to see something very soon. I'll stop breathing right now." One more time, one more time. "I'll roll today too." The girl says, the girl says While playing on words with a smile! "Are you all right now? It's okay. You gradually became tired of it too, right?" We'll hold our breath, right now.
rolling is a metaphor "rolling with the punches" [or rolling the dice (taking one's chances)] and the animations of her going forth and getting more and more injuries is her self-harming and/or possibly getting beaten up by others since she felt and was likely the odd one out based on her class and the crowds, she definitely looked bullied, and she felt alone and alienated for her struggles because everyone expected her to be something she wasn't. i know that the injuries overall represents the pain and damage she's taking on the further she keeps going with out the support and kindness she needed. she suffered from a mental illness and with out the proper help or support, she tried to personify an inner friend for herself. her consulting with the friend is both a source of comfort and symbol of contemplation to fighting or throwing in the towel. she pushed herself to keep going no matter what, exhausted and convinced that she wants to give in. "it loses its meaning" is the sign of helplessness and emptiness, and her collapsing into her friend was her going blank just before she gave in to suicide. her ending her life was her telling herself that it was okay and that she wouldn't have been missed anyway, which is why she said thank you and everything went quiet and strained. i mean i could be completely wrong, but that's what i got out of it.. who knows, maybe it had a happy ending, but i suppose it's up to interpretation to each of their own.
Love this appeared on my recommendations out of nowhere, reminds me the days when wowaka was still active in the vocaloid community. He was one of my favorites, I loved his songs and seeing what happened to him now makes me want to cry until I go unhydrated. May you rest in peace, wowaka. Why is it raining...?
Life is an upward slope that we are always trying to climb, but in the end we just roll down it, until we realize we don't like the hil, and it's not worth it.
if you watch akidearest's video "7 vocaloids songs that will change the way you see vocaloid"she explains rolling girl as to what she thinks it means I believe it seems legit
Wow, first time watching this since my recent tussle with major depression... I feel like her rolling is just a metaphor for self-harm. She girl keeps feeling like she's making mistakes, and keeps telling herself that she'll just roll one more time - because she knows that she shouldn't be doing it at all. "Even the hills provoke her to make mistakes," is basically just saying that her method of self-harm is something she has easy access to - something she looks at which makes her think of how easy it would be to hurt herself again
Everyone has such dark interpretations of this song! My personal interpretation is depressing, but not dark. It's merely in my opinion a mentally ill girl desperately looking forward to a future/happiness she wants but it seems so out of sight and impossible, so she wanders on in her life waiting for someone good to happen. (I'll keep rolling - I'll keep living and moving on to my future, even though it is seemingly pointless.) She almost gives up, but at the end, she finds help, gets to rest, and thanks the boy who saved her and who had delivered her future. You all are edgy!
Link Hero Of Time I personally think the boy is some kind of human version of her only source of like some kind of hope. At the end, he chokes her, I guess it's like her hope disappears and she kills herself or something
Yeah... One hand is on the back of her head, one on her back. And the one on the back of her head seems relaxed. And... Dying that quickly from choking /strangling just doesn't happen. It seems that after "rolling" for so long, and he speven says "you look tired" and so... I think she began swelling up with tears, but falls asleep in his embrace
Glad i came back to the Vocaloid community and remembered how much i touched my own emotions with the songs❤they helped me through alot and im glad im back to hear the songs that helped me live on❤
David LaCava I took the rolling part as her trying to tell herself that things will get better if she just keeps trying (rolling) at life. However, she eventually stops believing that but continues to say it to herself out of habit. So despite telling herself every day that she wants to keep trying, the words don't mean anything anymore and she gives in to her suicidal thoughts
I've come back to this song almost every day since it was posted. It means so much to me and so many others. Rest in peace wowaka, thank you for touching our hearts
I have a theory on what this song is actually about. A girl (Miku) is being bullied at school and people hurt her both physically and mentally. She pretends to be ok even though she isn’t. She says one day she wants to die. The person hugging her at the end overheard her and talks her out of suicide. She realizes suicide isn’t the solution and she shouldn’t die. This thought kills that part of her who keeps telling her she should commit suicide. They become best friends and she hasn’t ever really thought of suicide since.
I think this song takes a different note. The girl is likely depressed and tired of failure and is tired of making mistakes, so she wishes to end it. Rolling may refer to self harm, perhaps? Every time the girl rolls, she comes back battered and harmed. This leads me to believe that the man at the end, hugging her, is a friend, maybe? I'm as unsure of this as any of you are.
Even after the creation of this iconic album. His voice is heard thought the masses. Each interpretation represented in a sea of admiration not seen during the time of the album release. People are right about their interpretation of this song, and rightfully so. But what makes this song even sadder is that this is Wawaka telling the audience that he was not happy. He hated the thing that help him gain success in the first place. He hated Miku. He hated us, the vocaloid fandom. And whats worse? He hated himself. During this period people associated the song with the voice it was released. You can tell by some of the titles of older songs and their respected music videos. A song by someone using a vocaloid would result to a "by Len Kagamine" sort of situation. And there is where his hatred grew. This song is not a girl struggling with their emotions, it was Wawaka himself using a puppet to tell us what was really going on without spelling it out. A chaotic man hating his creations, and hating how he cant stop what he loved to do. And so he hugs the thing that helped him. The thing that drives him mad. The thing that made him feel like he was worth nothing, and try to excape the hole he created for himself. And so the duo colabs for a final moment. A rolling girl. Asking her friend to use her "one more time" And the man himself, using a voice, to be his instrument. Miku is Wawaka's depression manifested. And that's the saddest thing about this in my opinion... Rest in peace wawaka... we will continue to play your legacy.
so lets assume rolling means to live another day, and the boy represents death. every time she says she'll roll she looks more and more injured, so we could probably say the longer she lives the more she gets hurt (emotionally or physically). At the end the boy saves her from life, and so you could probably say she killed herself. Thats just a theory though, feel free to disagree
I kinda just joined this community and its pretty sad how wonaka died right when i joined hope he rest in peace 😇 but this song is great that made even thought it talks about depression and suicidal stuff i still love it
The first line of the song is "The lonely girl dreams the impossible as she pleases" and when people refer to the "impossible" most of the time they mean suicide or committing a crime, so we already know she isn't is mentally stable. When someone asks how you are doing you can say "rolling with the punches" which means life is hard and you want to give up but you keep going, and some people use the word rolling as slang for cutting, so we can tell the impossible she is thinking about is killing herself. It also shows her having injuries (shown on 1:52, 2:17, 2:34, and 2:42), and more things that could imply bullying by her classmates, so we can assume her classmates bullied her to the point of being suicidal. I personally think the boy with the black hair is her only classmate that doesn't bully her and actually cares about her and her well-being. When it says "one more time, one more time"it is talking about how she will cut one more time. When it says "I want to keep rolling" it is her talking to the black haired boy when he finds out she is cutting. Why I think that's why she says it is because she has no reason to talk to her bullies and the black haired boy is the only one who doesn't bully her, so she isn't aware that she is opening up a lot to him because she doesn't talk that much to people. They are very close friends actually but she doesn't really know how close they are because she doesn't know how to handle a friendship. It shows her choking him because she doesn't know how to handle her emotions. It only shows color when he is comforting her, she eventually breaks down and accepts his hug and says "I want to stop breathing" at the end of the song, she is seeking for his help on what to do because she doesn't want to be "rolling". But hey, that's just a theory, *a vocaloid theory*
I always tried to tell myself that the last “Thank You!” at the end is just a “Thanks for watching” message but we all know it’s not based off the last line.
i remember being so addicted to this song when i was 12, i memorized the romaji lyrics. i knew it was a sad song but now that i listened to it again, its sadder than i thought it was.
the boy seems to be more of a boyfriend; he consistently asks her how she's going and when she admits "i want to stop breathing" she closes her eyes and seems to fall into his embrace. she tries choking herself beforehand, but he smacks her hands away from her throat, which is why i don't really think he's a personalization of her depression.
Thank you wowaka, may you rest in peace. Your music gave me solace and comfort, thank you for contributing your creativity and artistry and choosing Vocaloid as your vessel to do so. Rest well, legend.
It's about a girl who faces depression, but shakes off that feeling, continuously trying to fit in when she can't, again and again until she feels she can't do it and decides to kill herself.
i think this song is about schizophrenia imaginary friends tell her to kill herself and hurt herself she clearly doesn't want to, "Please let me roll again" and she has a "noisy head" and then y seems like she hallucinates since the visuals get crazier as the song goes on
Wowaka confirmed it's about depression, but it's not specified what disease is causing the depression. The experience she's having seems similar to OCD-- there seem to be so many angry little voices yelling in one's head at once while experiencing that.
It's sad how her world is only filled with colour when she embraces the personification of her depression and 'stops breathing'.
Zero Gardevoir actually, he embraces her after PHYSICALLY STOPPING her from choking herself (2:45)
so i personally don't think he's a personalization of her depression, but perhaps a concerned friend or boyfriend outside of school.

But if you're reading this comment and you think that too then please don't believe it. The depression is wrong. I've also suffered from depression and I understand.
This made me cry 😭😭😭😭 thank you!
RIP. thank you for sharing your creativity with the world. your greatness lives on as inspiration and comfort to others.
OMFG... Someone PLEASE hug her.
Otaku Ghoul yeah she needs it
Well, she got one all right... From the guy wanting her to kill herself. :3
+Phoenixsword24 I don't think that person was real tho. I'm pretty sure he was supposed to he some sort of personification of miku's own mind.
Otaku Ghoul i wish i could

Thanks for creating many good songs. Rolling girl is one of my favourite, I remembered listening to this song when I was in middle school.
yes, he was a great artist, he will forever be a great artist
I thought when she said rolling, she was gonna run up the hill and roll down in hopes on injuring or even killing herself...
I FEEL SO BAD FOR LAUGHING AT UR COMMENT XD sry...

I don't think so but it's still so very funny that you think this

FUNNY?!?!
Damn .......
Soummya Dinesan fuck you, you made me cry :'(
Soummya Dinesan
Damnit this vid drew me to actual tears
Rolling Girl its self is a phrase used to show that after given permission, a person will kill themselves. The song is about a girl who is bullied and starts to either self-harm or is physically bullied (in the PV we see her physical state worsen, she is covered in bandages and has a bleeding nose. Again another thing in the PV for the song, we see a boy who we think is the person who is keeping her from killing herself (her friend or someone who loves her) But if we look at the official english for the song, it appears as if Miku is reluctant to do what her 'friend' is telling her to do. He keeps saying "how about now? and Miku keeps replying with "just a bit longer and we should see something soon"(
OH SHIT that means the picture at the end she commited suicide, and she accepted her death. (The boy hugging her)
I think it means self harm
Some people doesn't understand what depression is. And for all people who ACTING like having depression, what u have know is a fake depression. People who had a real depression won't expose like they had even tho they are. I start to learn what depression is from the song, I'm finding the meaning and yes, the meaning is deep.
Thanks wowaka .. we gonna miss u and never forget you. Rest in peace. Thank You ..
Rest in peace wowaka...
We will always never, never forget about you and your songs
Rest in peace, wowaka. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the wonderful songs you've given us.
RIP one of the greatest VOCALOID producers of all time. I loved many of your songs and you helped me get into VOCALOID. Forever remembered.
Thanks so much for creating masterpiece like this, wowaka, rest in peace.
wowaka, thank you.
words will never be enough to express how much your music has influenced me and changed my life. it may sound silly, i know, but you were one of the first people that introduced me to vocaloid. but that aside, your music has helped me through difficult times and that alone makes me so grateful to you. thank you, thank you so much for sharing your art with us
i send my condolences to your family and friends. i know that they’ll the ones having the most difficult time, and in case any of them is reading this just know that you’ll make it through it, i know that it’s tough and that you probably don’t wanna hear it, but these things takes time, take all the time you need to mourn and pick yourself back up again. hang in there.
once again, thank you so much for everything
Rest in Peace Our Rolling Boy, Wowaka. Thank you for showing me the wonderful world of vocaloids.
She keeps saying to that voice that she will try just once more to find her true happiness and attempts to quiet that voice down (which was portrayed by her choking the guy at 1:40)
By the end of it all she is badly bruised and is at the verge of giving up on her quest for happiness (portrayed by her choking herself at 2:49)
Here is when the other side of her has had enough and in the end hugs her and comforts her saying "Are you alright now?
The lonely girl is forever dreaming of something she can't reach and
Churning, churning the insides of her flustered mind.
"There's no problem." she mutters; has she lost her words?
Another failure, another failure.
If it ends in search of the mistakes, once again, she'll spin!
One more time, one more time.
"I'll roll today too."
The girl says, the girl says
While playing with the meanings in her words!
"Are you all right now?"
"Not just yet, because there's still a long ways to go and I can't see the end. Stop breathing, right now."
The rollingirl is but a mere shadow of who she once was, unable to reach the colour on the other side
The overlapping voices mixing, mixing with each other.
"There's no problem." the words she muttered were lost.
How can she possibly turn out fine when
The hilly roads entice her and cause her to make mistakes.
One more time, one more time.
Please let me roll
The girl says, the girl says
While silently repeating her meanings!
"Are you all right now?"
"In just a little longer, we might be able to see something very soon. I'll stop breathing right now."
One more time, one more time.
"I'll roll today too."
The girl says, the girl says
While playing on words with a smile!
"Are you all right now? It's okay. You gradually became tired of it too, right?"
We'll hold our breath, right now.
RIP wowaka, have a good rest. Your songs will remain with us forever
rolling is a metaphor "rolling with the punches" [or rolling the dice (taking one's chances)] and the animations of her going forth and getting more and more injuries is her self-harming and/or possibly getting beaten up by others since she felt and was likely the odd one out based on her class and the crowds, she definitely looked bullied, and she felt alone and alienated for her struggles because everyone expected her to be something she wasn't. i know that the injuries overall represents the pain and damage she's taking on the further she keeps going with out the support and kindness she needed. she suffered from a mental illness and with out the proper help or support, she tried to personify an inner friend for herself. her consulting with the friend is both a source of comfort and symbol of contemplation to fighting or throwing in the towel. she pushed herself to keep going no matter what, exhausted and convinced that she wants to give in.

RIP WOWAKA thank you for placing and showing the feelings of those who were left out with your songs❤️😔
It’s impossible to not listen to this on repeat
But... I don't see a choke.. I see a hug and her eyes begin selling with tears about to cry. I legit don't see the choke.
Link Hero Of Time look closely at it there's a hand choking her and it's not her own
Link Hero Of Time 2:41
Glad i came back to the Vocaloid community and remembered how much i touched my own emotions with the songs❤they helped me through alot and im glad im back to hear the songs that helped me live on❤
The reason I fell in love with this song is because of akidearest tbh, I want to thank her for making me love vocaloid even more now
rolling means she is tumbling through her days, why is everyone thinking it's something so much deeper
*gives miku a warm hug to make her feel better*
NaLu For life she is mentally insane she is trying to save herself but the voices in her head Brang her to her breaking point a hug won’t do anything

This may not be the official lyrics for it, but because it fits the melody of it English speakers can finally sing along
Rest in peace, wowaka. We love you.
This will probably forever be my favorite vocaloid song. Rest in peace wowaka.
This song makes me cry alot
I think this song takes a different note. The girl is likely depressed and tired of failure and is tired of making mistakes, so she wishes to end it. Rolling may refer to self harm, perhaps? Every time the girl rolls, she comes back battered and harmed. This leads me to believe that the man at the end, hugging her, is a friend, maybe? I'm as unsure of this as any of you are.
atom "Rolling" May also mean Trying again/living for another day, But everytime she tries again, she just gets hurt, more and more.
Asking her friend to use her "one more time"
And the man himself, using a voice, to be his instrument.
Miku is Wawaka's depression manifested. And that's the saddest thing about this in my opinion...
Rest in peace wawaka... we will continue to play your legacy.
Rest in peace wowaka, thanks for all the wonderful songs.
Thanks for subtitles
so lets assume rolling means to live another day, and the boy represents death. every time she says she'll roll she looks more and more injured, so we could probably say the longer she lives the more she gets hurt (emotionally or physically). At the end the boy saves her from life, and so you could probably say she killed herself. Thats just a theory though, feel free to disagree
Genious
Camron Cook
I actually like this better than any other interpretation. Though, I don't think that the boy represents death.
@@AnarchyShanarchy I'm sorry you had to go through all of that
I kinda just joined this community and its pretty sad how wonaka died right when i joined hope he rest in peace 😇 but this song is great that made even thought it talks about depression and suicidal stuff i still love it
The song's producer died. Rest In Peace, Wowaka...

This is a song about depression?? I thought this was a happy song at first, because I saw a lot of happy & cute video about this. But... Not again.
I always tried to tell myself that the last “Thank You!” at the end is just a “Thanks for watching” message but we all know it’s not based off the last line.
I love you for this

the boy seems to be more of a boyfriend; he consistently asks her how she's going and when she admits "i want to stop breathing" she closes her eyes and seems to fall into his embrace. she tries choking herself beforehand, but he smacks her hands away from her throat, which is why i don't really think he's a personalization of her depression.
This is one of the best songs i've heard and seen, and I do understand the meaning, I have gone through depression before.

It's about a girl who faces depression, but shakes off that feeling, continuously trying to fit in when she can't, again and again until she feels she can't do it and decides to kill herself.
Rest in peace Wowaka. You may be gone on this world but you'll never disappear from our hearts.
i think this song is about schizophrenia
imaginary friends tell her to kill herself and hurt herself
she clearly doesn't want to, "Please let me roll again"
and she has a "noisy head" and then y seems like she hallucinates since the visuals get crazier as the song goes on
Jay i dont think so. I think the boy just represents her depression
Wowaka confirmed it's about depression, but it's not specified what disease is causing the depression. The experience she's having seems similar to OCD-- there seem to be so many angry little voices yelling in one's head at once while experiencing that.
As someone with OCD I highly doubt that
im not great at interpreting stuff like this so thanks for the opposing views
Um highly doubt me, or Jay? I don't know whether that was directed at me.
