with the way that they're being removed, i guarantee that they're being labelled and prepped to be temporarily stored somewhere while other work happens in the room. it's expensive, but not nearly as expensive as leaving the windows in place and a) risking damage to them while hammers and saws are at work inches away and b) not being able to see what's happening in a wall that needs to be repaired because the window is in the way. i won't speak for the team, but i'd bet the windows will be safely reinstalled at the end of the job. i'd also guarantee that temporary windows will be put in place to maintain the building envelope.... so you'll need to be patient! the team is working up to this anniversary deadline, so you should see the windows back by then. i'm excited to see what they have planned.
