I was our pleasure and such an honor!
This video is fantastic and so informative!!! Very enjoyable! Thank you for adding this interview, it makes me want to go and learn more and actually see the homestead!!
This has to be my favorite channel on UA-cam. I’m from Boston, and naturally am interested in American history but never find videos that explain the history and also show the interiors. Here you Al are doing just that! Excellent job! 🇺🇸
Wow, thank you! We hope you enjoy our other videos... www.bobbleheadgeorge.org/
7:10 Great chairs!
We just visited Mount Vernon with our 9 & 10yr old granddaughters and they loved it, especially listening to all the audio stories as we moved from building to building. GW was a amazing President! Love your video. Please do more❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

I’ve been there about 3 times, maybe more, either way I love it. The last time we went my sister asked if that was all to the house I looked around and said no we haven’t seen the upstairs or that side of the house. She was surprised I remembered because it had been many years since we went. I love walking around that estate. I need to go back and take my other daughter.
It's an amazing place to visit. Thank you for watching! We hope you check out our other videos!
Thank you!!!!
You're welcome!
Thank you for this video. I’m a descendant of Martha Washington. Your tour made me feel like I was there. I hope someday I can tour it in person.

Thanks!
You bet! Thanks for watching!
Very well done! I thoroughly enjoyed this! Btw, ICU too! LOL
Thank you!
Good job mr gimb I miss being in your class
Thank you for watching!
Great video, guys! Informative and well presented, including some interesting and geeky details (which I love). My only change would be that the large window in the New Room is a Palladian window, after the Italian Renaissance architect, Andrea Palladio, who popularized it. Washington may have called it a Venetian window in his day.
Thank you for watching! We hope you get a chance to check out our other videos. Happy New Year!
That chair with the fan bust me up!
Such good video 😘😘😍
Glad you liked it!!
Maybe 56 years ago was the last time I was there. Has much changed? I'm distantly related to Martha Washington.
At least four of my direct ancestors served under Gen. Washington at the Crossing of the Delaware and battles at Trenton. Early at the Battle of Long Island. The land I live on was surveyed by Washington when he worked for Lord Fairfax. Mom and dad are buried on the land confiscated during the Civil War, now known as the Arlington National Cemetery.
I'm sure a lot has changed over the last 56 years! Thank you for watching our video. Please be sure to share it and subscribe...if you like.
That’s awesome!!
George Washington and I have the same birthday February 22nd.
George Washington loved the buffet at Golden Corral.
Everyone loves the buffet at Golden Corral. This is not news.
How did you get close access into the rooms
We built reputation for making quality videos...then just asked.
@@BobbleheadGeorge it's very cool that they let you get access
Very good but room dimensions would be better than "really big" and that's a "paladian" window!!!
make your own video
Every source I've read (and I've read a lot on Washington) says that Patsy Custis had her fatal seizure in the dining room, not the bedroom. Maybe she was taken to the bedroom after the seizure, but it struck in the dining room.
Gorge Washington died exactly 211 year before i was born.
hi
Wasn't Robert E. Lee's wife George Washington's Granddaughter?
Though marriage. Washington didn't have any biological children...but he raised Martha's from a previous marriage.
For help to move everything .......
Wow, not a fan AT ALL of that color green and as you said it's EVERYWHERE....ugh. The rest of the mansion is stunning.
Thank you for watching!
The green color has grown on me I've been there alot
my doctore told me that up until the 1950's strep throat was one of the leading causes of death . I have had it 2 and it is not fun.
America wasn't born of God, it was born of French enlightenment
Is not the Vernon mean is Ture the holy God .....
The front of mt vernon actually faces the potomac from the back the home is rather bland. I was disappointed because i thought the back was the front.
Interesting but why do we have to spend so much of the time staring at a bunch of darned talking heads. Do you really think you're so beautiful that we can't live without this ? You've ended up wasting three quarters of the time with gabbing which could have been done as speech over more pictures and details. Very disappointing
im sure 95% of the furniture and paintings are made to look like they are from the 1700s but were probably made no more then like 20 years ago. I highly doubt that that much furniture from 260 years ago would survive without damage. in fact im sure that the floor is the only thing in the entire house that Washington did actually touch.
Furniture CAN last that long
Nice to know that you're an expert on furniture
I wish they would dress in period costume instead of...
Washington, a true gentleman, would have removed his hat. Y’all shouldn’t be there, IMHO.
Thank you! As a gentleman, myself, I learned that from dad over 60 years ago. Most of the 80-year-olds in this small, Indiana town seem to have forgotten, because I'm SURE their daddies taught them better!
Wonder what type of DIDDY party’s Washington was throwing smh 🤦🏽♂️
Awesome video
Thanks! We appreciate you watching. We hope you enjoy our other videos.
