  • After pulling my hair out trying to replace each bulb on five strands of non-working LED lights I decided to buy the LED Keeper. After fixing the first four strands I decided to record a video to show you how to do the repair. Since I had to call Support for some help they gave me some good tips that I thought I’d share with you.

Sir, I don’t know how to thank you enough. I had this tool and just could not figure out what I was supposed to do with it. After watching this video, I finally understood. Sat down and fixed six different strands of lights. Easy as pie. Thank you, thank you! This goofy little tool really does work.

Nice job! Patience is the key. I've been using both the yellow and the red led / bulb keepers. It takes a while but it is much better than removing every bulb or led and testing them. God bless you all and Merry Christmas

I can’t get it to work for nothing. It looks so easy! I know my battery is new and good. I have a half string of lights going and when I hit the side that doesn’t work I can’t get it to light up anywhere on the wire. I plug the lights into a socket to see which ones light up then unplug and plug into the LED keeper and try to get it to laminate and still can’t get it to light up. I thought maybe I wasn’t giving it enough pressure but the husband can’t light it either. Any other ideas? I haven’t used it much. I am so frustrated!

@@shericreates Try the gun at about 5 lights on each side of the dead string, you might have 2 or more bad LEDS in the string. This happens sometimes and you have to find a point where the LED's will turn on to find the bad LED's.

I just got the tool to fix my icicle lights but the video I watched from led keeper didn't show how to do icicle lights. Your video has been very helpful. Especially the part about having to work backwards on the second half of the strand. Thank You.

Well even though your video was helpful once I got everything together to start testing I noticed the needle on my tester wasn't there and I didn't save any of the info like who I bought it from so fixing my icicle lights ended up being a no go.

Steve, you disabled your comments for your C600 blinker video. No one can ask questions on that video. Great job!

Thanks so much for this! Ordered one on Amazon can’t wait to give it a shot. My husband and I are going nuts with these icicle lights that seem to have a new section out every year.

Everything made now a days (appliances, lighting, Xmas lights) are such poor quality, pathetic !!!! I've gotten to the point where I pass my expense on to the store I bought them at where I put any lights that are not working or only partly working back for a full refund. But that really shouldn't be necessary !!!

I tried it on an outdoor set and the pin piercer gave out after just one string. I flipped the pin and that too only lasted for one string. It did ID the faulty bulb, and I used the enclosed capper seal to seal the defective
bulb I removed, but the tool is now useless unless I buy replacement pins. No thanks.
