      So tired of hearing people bitch about this. He has to have it for SEMA. He has a deadline and TBH the quality is pretty damn good considering he is building a car from the ground up in a garage.

    • @icandreamstream
      @icandreamstream 6 років тому +6

      That's kind of unfair, it's like saying "imagine how good ______ could be if there was no budget and they had infinite time". Life always has constraints. This is exceptionally impressive considering all the constraints in place.

      @jeepsterdaddy37 6 років тому +5

      @@hankrearden5460I'm pretty sure MiGujack3 wasn't bitching. He was just stating that if they didn't have to rush and did a build at their own pace, their builds would be even better than what they are now. Chris has said himself numerous times that they don't have time to do things the way he really wants due to the very short deadline. I'm really impressed in what they've accomplished in the short time already and can't wait to see how it turns out and curious to see what they change and refine after SEMA.

    When ever painting anything its best to actually get all body work done . That way When you spary something you dont have to be worried about contanimation from other things along with trash from other prep work. Always a step at a time and you will be happier with the results. Getting anything ready for paint means having a clean environment to get a better paint result , having water on the floor when not using a proper spray both also helps keep dust and particles down from paint. Also use a tack rag to wipe in between dry coats , dont forget to even wipe down the masked areas . You will be surprised on how much trash is on the paper .

    Hey, I work at a painting facility and I forgot to say this the other day, but I'd recommend you use something other than cardboard to mix the body filler on top of. We found that using that could allow some of the filler to soak in and then have a bad catalyst to base ratio which resulted in weaker filler throughout its lifespan.

  • @Duaneoca
    @Duaneoca 6 років тому

    I was thinking about the car dolly that Bad Obsession Motorsports has, and how much easier it would make the painting go. I absolutely love both builds, and while they are similar in concept, they're completely different in timeline and attention to detail. Both intriguing. I'm looking forward to the videos over the next couple of weeks. This project is really coming together.

    I'm not sure if you have seen before or ever heard of paint in the spray cans you can get. Any actual paint supply store has them but it is the same stuff that you would usually spray from a gun just in a rattle can. There is a little thing on the bottom that you push and it makes the two ingredients mix inside the can. Even clear coat, it has the clear and the activator separate until u push the bottom and then they mix and you spray away!! It is awesome to use for things like gas doors or mirrors so you don't have to waist or buy more then u need. Tight areas like what you are doing it's great to use cuz no cup or hose to deal with and it's the exact same stuff that u normally would buy In quart jugs or gallons and have to mix the reducer or activator with. The clear has around a 24 hours pot life also after u puncture the seal so just thought I would bring it up!! Maybe for future builds or whatever but once I found out it was available I use them like crazy!! Cars looking sweet tho man, you guys are doing a great job!!
