My daughter got her PhD at 28 and she’s so focused in her career now that she’s not talking about marriage. I’m not in haste. I have 3 daughters all I’m doing is praying for them for the right person that will support their dreams and vice versa.

The $1,000,000.00 Question is how do you bring together Single matured Adults in Diaspora in a relaxed Fun filled Environment

Anty B this topic ehn I can relate. I was introduced to a white nice looking guy with 20+ years age gap, honestly the age was not really the issue but the chemistry that I was struggling with, I tried to connect but unfortunately I could not and they guy is kind. Trust me it was a tough decision cause of my financial struggles back in Nigeria. A lot of people felt I was foolish to have not ceased that opportunity in my 30s but the truth is I cannot lie to myself or pretend that I felt love for him, I even visited him in the u.k and at a point I wished I was settled there, but my mind no gree me deceive myself oh. 🤣🤣. I felt I would be mortgaging my life if I settled for the wrong reasons, cause those reasons were not strong enough to keep me glued to him. I told myself that there are several channels to jappa, which other people have used so why do I want to choose a lazy/easier way out? I had to speak truth to my conscience, and remind myself of my worth and capabilities. I created a mental image With the state of my emotions with this kind guy, and I felt cheating would be inevitable. Bottom line, marriage fraud with an Obodo person is a poverty induced decisions and high expectations.

We Nigerians have problems with some of our cultures. Imagine The Boys have Girls in the family and we love and RESPECT them, we cant cheat or control them un-necessarily BUT we have the believe that we can CONTROL our wives and force them into submission.
WHEN MEN LOVE THEIR WIVES ITS ANOTHER LEVEL OF SUBMISSION TO OUR WIVES INDIRECTLY.
WHEN WOMEN SUBMITTS TO THEIR HUSBAND ITS SIMPLY EXHIBIT SOME LEVEL OF LOVE.
SUBMISSION AND LOVE ARE INTERWOVEN; yet we don't know.

People abroad are too lazy or too busy to work hard to meet the marriage expectation of a man or woman living abroad. It's much more convenient and easier to go home to find a spouse. Everybody has an expectation especially when it comes to marriage. Personally, I think some people's expectation is unrealistic and set too high which is why they experience marital delay and have to go back home for a spouse.

On the accent thing, aunty B, you are relying on your experience in the UK. I live and work in the US and what she said is true for this part of the world. Americans, especially White Americans, do not believe they have accents. I actually teach my students what you said and it is hard for them to accept. What E said is right to an extent. There are oyibos who are open to dating interracially. But there are oyibos who don't want to date outside their race like us. Some pick on other differences. Some rely on the stereotypes they have heard about Africans (especially those ones that think Africa is a country). Some are held back because of family and laws that once made interracial marriage and dating illegal (a senator proposed bringing those laws back last year). We are also assuming that oyibos are saints. Oyibos are humans too and whatever fault you find in Nigerian society, you will definitely find it among oyibo people. African women should definitely date outside their country and race. But it may be harder to do in the US depending on where you live, your age and other factors. For some sisters, if oyibo dey your destiny, na only them go dey chase you. Plus, this issue is not only affecting Black African women. It's affecting Black women generally and you will see many videos and studies emphasizing this issue in America.
