Mirage | illusion of water in desert

Mirage is an very interesting phenomena where one can see the illusion of water.
It can be seen in desert or on road during hot days..even though there is no water in actual reality.
Total internal reflection is the main cause behind mirage.

Because of mirage, if a thirsty desert traveller ever sees water in the distance, they should know that they almost certainly are seeing a mirage and not an oasis. That's sad, imagine how frustrated they would be at seeing that water disappear
