Why Does It Look Like There's Water On The Road?

- The fake puddles of water that we see on the road on a sunny day is due to an optical phenomenon called a mirage, which is caused by the refraction (or bending) of light rays due to different temperatures of the air above the road.
On a hot, sunny day, the sun heats the road a lot. However, because roads are generally black, they absorb a lot of heat and become hotter than light-colored objects. This increases the air temperature just above the surface of the road. Now, as the sun’s rays pass through relatively warmer air (and less dense air) just above the road, their speed increases slightly, and they change course, i.e., being refracted to reach the eyes of the observer.
The water you see on the road is not really water but a reflection of the sky. Mirages are often observed on sunny days when the sweltering heat of the sun warms flat surfaces like roads and thus the air above these muggy asphalt tracks.

2:46 - that HEAT scared me
Still kind of makes 0 sense to me 😂
Light be doing stuff
When light refracts as it passes through different media or through layers of air with varying temperatures and densities, it can create visual distortions, such as mirages or the shimmering effect above hot surfaces. These distortions are not the result of our vision being directly affected by the speed of light, but rather the bending of light as it travels through different conditions before reaching our eyes.
Love the channel. You got so much potential, big things are in store for you if you stay at it, big dog.
Thanks for the content!
I appreciate that!
this video really helpful thank you
I thought that the road was loading 💀
Best explanation, thank you very much
You are welcome!
Mirage
I actually wondered why
Now i learned
I search this content for half an hour but i didn't understand when i see this content i can understand thanks a lot for this🎉❤😊
Glad to hear that😊

My dad used to say it was the road gods making the road disappear to scarembad drivers.
Isn’t that a Fata Morgana?
In summary:
1) Road is hot 🥵 but air above it is cold 🥶
2) Cold 🥶 means low density and hot 🥵 meams high density
3) Due to variation of densities light 🕯️ from sky gets refracted to road 🛣️ causing mirrage (illusion) of water 🌊💦
Nah it’s a glitch in the simulation
