That thing about “he’s a genius except for the brains part”. Sedge you’re a genius including the “brains part” to the max. You always do such great job showing us how to get first rate results. Thanks!
150/3 for sanding finishes
150/5 for sanding wood
RO 150 for flattening & sanding wood and polishing finishes
so RO 150 for everything?
I am almost two years late on this video, my loss. You touched on some key aspects I have needed help with in my technique. Thanks very much!
Great info! Killer episode... again! Thanks guys 😁
Thank you for the video, I have learned a lot
Audio really low this week, had my speakers on 100% and still hard to understand
Audio issues every week. Will they ever get it?
I have watched this several times. love these videos. I do have a question. currently using 'osmo' wax finish but am wanting to add a little more sheen to my finish without going to a gloss look. I applied the wax using the white "scotch pads". can the rotex be used to polish up the finish a little more and more specifically what pad or product should be used. currently i do not own a rotex but will purchase depending on response. thank you for the vids !!!!!
The videos are great. Does anyone check the/normalize the audio before you upload? I'd love to be able to hear all those words of wisdom. THANK YOU
Is there a set of the polishing tubes you can buy with the sheepskin pad as well?
I love how Festool can make mirrors out of wooden board. 😂
Yes Sedge, there is indeed a West Yorkshire,
Steve
My dad wrote articles for model aircraft magazines back on the 70’and 80’s. When discussing finishing he would always state that you built down to a surface.
I made many model airplanes in the 70s and 80s. Also Estes model rockets. Probably read a few of your dad's articles.
@@miltoneaton9038 that’s really cool. I am a fraction of the craftsman and artist he was. I wish I’d listened more to him.
Can these compounds be used for epoxy resin polishing?
I really enjoy your videos. I like to use Osmo Polyx in almost everything. Is it possible to use the same tutorial after applying Osmo? Thank you.
Sounds like Festool should make a headset microphone. :)
i know right? i can barely hear what the host talk about.
Where do I buy the super soft pad, sandpapers and polishing foam pads for a Rotex 90?
Love the videos. Would these polishes work for an epoxy top table?
Hi, when the Polishing Compound 5010 will be avalable in Canada?
This was long overdue information, I’ve seen the orange blue and white polish’s but they’re is almost no information on the bottle’s, no one can tell me if I can use this polish on epoxy resins, when it comes to finishing no one comes close to festool.
New Zealand and working with black walnut
Could you have sanded with the 5mm sander?
Finally a show about polishing. Thanks. Am I right in thinking the 11,000 is a ceramic polish for finishing the polishing of your car?
OMG!! GET AN automotive polish that knows how to deal with automotive paint. Go to Griot's Garage for examples and education. I have NO affiliation with them.
Could you post the the numbers of the items you used to polish. Thank you
Why do you use a soft pad to flatten when you also recommend the the hard interface on the ro125
Why are the numbers on the back of the granat at the lower grits and on the front of the sheets of the higher sheets as used in this video or were the sheets put on backwards ?
Another great video!
What finish did you the piece with?
half the links don't work, no links to the polishing pads. This is unbelievably hard to figure out how to buy.. Almost no other videos about this. I expect more from festool..
for those of us who need to polish their trucks and headlights and cant wait till the fall...can you tell me where to start? I assume you start with the orange and work up or do you just do the orange? Its just a truck so I dont need a Mercedes polish, but I would like to clear up the headlights. Also, what if there are some scratches in the surface. Do you just work it with the orange till its out?
Get headlight polish. Any automotive store or Amazon. Festool is not in the car business. Beautiful tools, including these, And you can use the tools with the correct compounds.
Kentucky here
Can you put the microfiber link?
Hey should i Oil my Rotex ?
Change the oil every 3000 hrs.
You don’t, its a sealed unit
Very tiring to sort through all the fooling around to extract the salient points. But, when located, those points were good. Like many, I am over the top busy, would appreciate consolidation of useful info, less entertainment.
Very informative! Perhaps a bit heavy on the recitative...
Hey, I'm looking to buy a FESTOOL sander, my work is with resin and wood, would I need a 3 stroke or 5 stroke to get a good finish?
3, because 5 is more agressive
3 is for sanding finishes and 5 is for finishing wood.
What is the model number of that machine? I live in los angeles and I want to get that for my detailing business
Rotex 150
@@davidhouchin2353 thanks
confusing demonstration
I cannot watch this guy. Honestly, he carries on like he is teaching kindergarten!! The information is great but the presentation belongs in pre-school.
Difficult to unwatchable. Stop messing about, speak clearly to microphone and camera. Give us cold clear information. Not here for entertainment. It appears like first time amateur BBQ video
I was thinking the shopping cannel at 2am.
This guy is really awkward
