Use a launch on the daily. Whenever it comes to Vivaro’s I tend to connect to the vehicle as a Renault Trafic through the options. Always seems to open up more options and data streams.
I just picked up the crp 909c. I'm having a hell of a time figuring out how to use it because it's a substantial leap from what I had. I have a cheap hand held, forget the brand, and it did great, it read codes, which told me where to look for problems, sometimes I changed the part and that wasn't the problem...shit happens. But this thing has SOO much more to it I'm overwhelmed. I'm using it on my roommates 03 Dodge ram 5.7 hemi. It threw the code, P0300 with no other supporting codes and while running the check engine light flashes constantly which to me suggests a lean condition. Doing a live data I can see info but I don't know what I'm supposed to be seeing so it might as well me in Aramaic! LOL I just got done changing the cam and crank positioning sensor. This is supposed to be able to do a "tooth relearn" function but the hell if I can find it... The tune up parts are all relatively new I replaced the rotted out coil packs with good used ones, and then the number one failed and was replaced. Plugs wires were changed at the time. That's the other reason I'm led to the fuel system being the culprit. What might you do in that situation? Tear into everything and start looking for a bare wire..god only knows where? Of is there more functions on the scanner I should be using? Thanks in advance!
I find have the ignition turned on then plug it. It happens on older cars . Normally get up dates every week and I just got the latest up date. All so when you use it more on different cars you get new updates
The power connector is fairly common, looks like a 5.5mm dc jack which you can pick up pretty cheap

at 16:58 you had it show you the vauxhall manual oil reset instructions mate , think it was confusing as the first choices were software reset/ manual reset THEN after that auto scan / manual scan

Normally with Vauxhall viaros you have to go in as a Renault traffic to diagnose and reset being the same van of course
This is exactly what I do! Just treat these vans as Renaults. Same with the Nissans and the new Fiats.

@@bodgitandleggitgarage my cheaper airless is the same - can’t do anything with a Renault traffic, wonder if it’s just cheaper end tools that don’t work on these vans

I like your honest Review I agree with you about the scanner and I've been looking for car software to program the throttle body on my 2002 Volvo V70 and the software I'm getting is a Vida Dice Full Chip because there are clones out there and clones blow The ECU so I've got to be very careful what I get. and all of my comments have disappeared because I've Transferred my channel from a Personal channel to a Branded account that's the only time my comments will disappeare Take care
You can reset it, you need to either manual select Vauxhall then vivaro or go through Renault trafic, I noticed you just clicked Vauxhallvxr8 😂, this isn’t a bad machine
You obviously have the same tool so I will wait for your video and you can share was how good it is For the price when you can get better scantool cheaper wireless And expandable memory And cheaper to updates I will wait for your video
@@bodgitandleggitgarage I’ll be honest on a day to day basics I used snap on, vdcs, lexia. I have the launch at home incase of a emergency, but as far as I know the launch is simple to use, yes wireless is better but prefer wired data is a lot more accurate each to there own, not my fault you clicked vauxhallvxr8 and it didn’t work. I wasn’t being negative in anyway just stating the obvious. 😉

Legend has it there is another video out there showing what The channel did wrong and all other scan tools.
I have not found the great temple Indiana Jones refers to tho soooo, to date its still a legend.
I think you were at a disadvantage by not at least skimming the manual first. Not sure which Autel you were referring to because you didn't say, but I can tell you that the 7inch Autel tablets in this price range have MUCH older and slower hardware, and a MUCH older Android OS version than the Launch. I'm going to get one of this Launch model. If the hardware/OS on the Autel wasn't so old, it might be a different story.
Not to mention that Autel's yearly update fees are about double that of Launch for equivalent products.

I don't understand why when you backout do you need to scan again. It looks like they use android system, Why cant it just sit in the background so you can go back to it if you want to and if you want to scan again then scan again. I don't understand their logic. 350 for basically what is a 2010 android with a big screen. I think when you backed out it was a mistaken double tap, that might mean the screen is Chinese junk. Cant wait for the next video.

Why are companies so stingy on memory these days it must cost nothing. You can buy a 1tb hard drive for like £30 these days. Even boggo £50 phones have 64gb storage minimum lol
I know it's stupid storage nowadays is just so cheap but I know why they do it so you have to buy a new scandal in a few years makes business sense

From my experience launch is sh on Vauxhall/Opel but pretty decent on VAG's Mercs etc.

That's not service light it's electrical fault
Watch the video properly and you will see a spanner light flashing above the mileage that is a service light

Bought the launch 909 and an autel both are s**** you get what you pay for the old delphi ds150e with wow software is way better and a lot cheaper too new 2020 autocom is now available for ds150 .
