This is from season 3, and you're still on season 2 I believe.
Heather Morris was a backup dancer for Beyonce on the tour when she sang this song. In fact, somewhere here on UA-cam is a video where Beyonce sang this on Good Morning America and you can see Heather dancing backup. Heather was also on Dancing With the Stars but didn't win - however, Amber Riley (Mercedes) was also on that show, different season, and won!
Britney was originally going to be just a minor background cheerleader, but Ryan Murphy saw Heather and Naya's friendship and chemistry combined with Heather's dancing abilities and bumped her up to a main part of the New Directions. There are a ton of cute interactions between them in the background of the show if you look for them.
Finally, you've been reacting to the full radio releases of the songs sometimes and the person has done a good job of trying to match the shorter episode video to the longer song, hence the confusion about why they're bouncing around between rooms.

Yeah I came here to say this-while the channel is cool to see the full released song, it’s not correct with the actual show or events. Half of her questions come from the inconsistencies.

She was hired because she could teach the cast the Single Ladies dance. I’m so glad she stayed. Her and Naya’s friendship was amazing 💓
She was a backup dancer for Beyonce. She wasn't originally supposed to be on the show they brought her in to teach Chris (Kurt) the dance for single ladies and after she taught it to him they decided to keep her for a couple episodes as a backup cheerleader but her character just became so well known and such a hit they brought her to the front more instead of the back.
I love how Heather went from Dancing for Beyonce to singer her songs on glee

This video was meant to be the music video of Glee's version of "Run the World." The actual performance on the show is different.

3. They aren’t dancing from room to room this is an edit so that you hear the entire song you should’ve reacted to the version in the episode it looks far better that way
I LOVE the fact that you're reacting to the full studio song, you are a vocal coach and the studio versions have so much more for you to hear, and eventually you are already seeing the actual performance on the show, so for me is better this way
The studio and the TV version should be close to each other sound wise. The cast records the song in the studio, and lipsynch to the studio version during filming.

Dancing On My Own it is Heather's better solo vocal performance. but it was not filmed. there's only the audio. She also did amazing singing some parts of Problem by Ariana Grande.

an amazing (and my personal favourite) brittany solo is her cover of robyn's dancing on my own! it was supposed to be in a s4 episode but was cut, which is really unfortunate because her vocals in that song are my absolute favourites of hers and it just fit into the storyline really well

To answer your question, no she didn't choreograph this. All of the choreography on Glee, was done by Zach Woodlee.
Also Kurt's, shocked and upset, because they are running against each other for class president (Kurt needs more school activities, to get into the college, he wants to get into) and she is using this performance to get all the girl's (and the guys, who just like to watch her dance), to vote for her.
just imagine going to this school ur in the middle of a math test and every girl in the school breaks into song

She's just doing it to make conversation. She's watching the show and finds out the context very quick or people give her lots of spoilers so it's just part of the reaction. She's reacting to the vocals here, not really the plots.

i know this is like a month ago but just for context to this,
the reason why Kurt looks so shocked, is because he was running for Student Body President and Brittany revealed that shes running too because all the past SBP has been boys and they have messed up the system😂 thus, the song choice🔥🔥
P.S this isnt the music video from the show, i think its fan made to show off the entire studio version since the scene in the series only had a short clip
