30n30, I can't wait. It's almost like Christmas in April!!
Oh my, this was a really funny vlog…..I laughed alot. The moms are looking so round. woohooo almost 30 in 30 time.
Watch Matt lick that barrel and his reaction was way to funny 🤣
Oh my!! Matt was pure entertainment!! Thanks for a very good video.
Matt was hilarious - made our day! Thank you guys.
I’m from central Virginia, lived on a farm in the country. All my life we had fresh coconut cake on special occasions. I’m now 84.
After removing the husk, we would take a large nail and punch the “eyes” out, drain and save the milk. Then we would take a hammer to break it into manageable pieces, carve the meat out.
So many ups and down ranching. Don't beat yourself up too badly over the loss of a calf, its going to happen. You are doing an amazing job doing what you're doing. Matt and Erin included. You give us all a perspective on your daily life and it's incredible. I just shake my head, never is there a day off. Great job to all!!! Joe
With the cow itis part of mother nature. Withany type of farm this could happen.Im so glad to see the kids trying coconut
Morning Mike
Good morning mike and your family and good morning matt
That cow licking on Matt was soooooo funny. I had tears in my eyes from laughing. Matt, you still got that animal charm you dog you. 😵💫😵💫
LOL Now you gave me a chuckle! Thanks
wow Matt that cow really wanted to kiss you. that made me laugh and made my day complete. Thanks mike and Matt for making my day complete
I was laughing so hard when that cow was licking Matt in the face
Lucky there's no law against it in Wyoming.
Glad we were able to help Linda.
You and Matt are having too much fun! Kow Kisses omg
Just think of it as the largest lollipop you have ever seen
The song "I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts" came to mind. I have not heard that song for years. The kids sure had fun opening it. Thank you for sharing that. 😊
Great ended guys!!! Your having to much fun.
Put a rubber flap on the back end and it will seal its self, you can see a pease of flat metal that will that will hold it in place
Matt, thanks for the great laughs. Loved the cattle loving on you. 😂
Great Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Wednesday was a good day because you didn't loose the cow and you knew what to do to save her. Great job.
I absolutely loved when Matt got kissed by that cow
Hi Mike, good to see you have some fun time with the kids during all the chores
Another great video!
Thanks again for sharing 😊
Good Morning! My in-laws are Jamaican, and they use coconut milk to make beans and rice.
Great ideas you and Matt come up with 🙌.
Poor Matt, trying to be nice and gets inendated with slobber😝.
JO JO IN VT 💕😄☃
I like the week vlog and seeing all the cow's.
Granola! Love the channel keep up the great work
Thanks Matt for my laugh this morning lol
I laughed when the kids were trying to open the coconut! My grandfather occasionally bought coconuts when I was a child. He/ we opened them with an ice pick. The coconut milk (water) was a treat we all coveted. I about cried when it was poured into that plastic bin, lol. It made me realize how "common" sweetened coconut products have become. Grandpa used his pocket knife to shave off pieces of the meat for us to eat. Good memories. Good week (minus Wednesday!) video. I never realized you had a belt auger on the ranch, good catch w/ tub to recover spillage.
Awesome job Matt 👍
I remember Erin saying if it hangs off of the Gator the cows will rip it off as soon as you turn your back. Mirrors, lights, handles and knobs.
Matt is lucky the Gator still HAs a door. 😂 EZ pays $5 if he eats another cow pie pop-tart, on camera. 🤣
Thanks for sharing.
What an amazingly wonderful video -Wed.
If everyone put as much effort into their jobs, as Matt does, so much more would get done. He's truly a blessing to watch even with his condition.
May you all have a blessed week.
Am waiting so for the 30 & 30.
Love that your cows are so tame. When I was young just enjoyed being in the pasture with the cows and calves.
I enjoyed you two having fun with the cake &cows.
We love Matt
Hi Mike Erin & kids,Lincoln just makes me smile. He did not like the coconut milk at all.The kids are just adorable.Have a wonderful week ahead.👏🥰👍
Hi Mike, I live in cattle country and understand what you convey. Thank you for being special. You are appreciated because you share.
Carry on!
LOVE Matt.....he's a keeper! I needed a good laugh today and he delivered. :)
You got kisses!!! She loves you Matt!!! The quickest way to a cows Heart is thru her Tummy's! Lolol
What a fun video minus loosing the calf. A week with Matt would be good for April. I'll be staying tuned. ~Lynette Thanks for what you do!
Always enjoy the weekly vlog, thanks Mike!
Coconut very entertaining
The cows know what they needed
That was great Matt looks like he was a great time God bless you all and stay safe 🙏 ❤
Awesome video! Full of laughs and great ranch times!
We used to haul the processed beef back in the dressing/tack room of our 24 foot gooseneck. We were going down to the plant every week with steers, so we always had meat coming back. We did it that way when Frank sold his local plant and we used the one he had about 50 miles away. We did not have a store front or did mail order so the meat was sold as halves or quarters to customers who ordered it for local pick up.
Get a duplex water proof box, put in it a light switch and an outlet. Run the female end of a heavy 25 foot extension cord into the box. Split the wiring in the box, run one to the switch and one to a duplex outlet. Then run a codex from the switch, out of the box and to the motor for the conveyor. Mount a block onto the conveyor to keep the cord when transporting. This way you have an on off switch for the motor and an outlet you can use for other things.
We used liquid licks and protein blocks. The liquid wasn't too bad, other than some of the added minerals and salt it tasted like black strap molasses. Worth a dollar to see the cow wanting to kiss Matt.
Great show guys! Matt like it...lol
Matt sure did get a lot of cow kisses, I think she's in love with him, that was funny to watch. Bambi's doing the camera work, special cow version. The lick had to taste nasty, Matt probably still has that special taste in his mouth. Great video, lots of laughs and fun, unfortunately a serious sad event with the loss of the calf, we just had one ourselves. Thanks for sharing and I hope you all have a great week ahead.
I love coconut 🥥 but Not the milk. Matt is so, so funny xx 🤣 🤮🇬🇧
Mike you are amazing with your kids
Great video week, loved it all, Fun, thank you..
HI Guy's.
Unwrap it, to only unwrap it, to find the eyes.. this was awesome, the kids were great. Their ideas were wonderful. I have an advantage cuz I live in an area with coconuts. But, if i ever experienced a blizzard...Oh MY? you would get a chuckle to. God Bless. Hoping for lots of rain this season.
It's great watching how you and Matt work together. So funny, when the cow was trying to "kiss" Matt.
Looks like it was a good idea to put those salt licks out there. The cows all crowded around them.
Very entertaining ! Look forward to Matts week on the ranch !!!!! The cows are funny.
FANTASTIC VIDEO. DAY 5 WAS SO FUNNY, GREAT JOB MATT.
It is what it is. That is ranching...you did everything you could. Mary in Casper.
I love your jerky...it's so good!! Oh, the coconut adventure made me want a coconut too!! lol. I'll have to send my kids after one at the store. I absolutely LOVE coconut!!
Next time you get a coconut, use a Skilsaw to cut the outer husk open.
Hey Mike, for loading the cake bin, maybe you could dig a couple tracks for the feeder trailer tires under the bin so it would fit. That would lower the feeder enough to just back it up under it. Or, if the feeder is too wide, use a short tray or big hose to direct the cake into the feeder at the lower level. Hope that helps. love your weekly vlog!
Lol!! $1 best funny I've seen in a while! Thx for that!
What ya didnt see was I told mike I should have asked for 10 bucks instead
@@mattfencl3614 Yep! With inflation it should have been $10!! Take care and so love watching you two work out the ranch! Brilliant!!
Wednesday was awful. But Matt with his lick breath getting licked by the cow was hilarious. Thanks for sharing all that you do! God's blessings on all of you.
God bless you all. So love the blogs!!! Plz keep them going! Best bright spot in these difficult days.
When I was a truck driver crossing the US I use to find places like your farm store to buy hams and various Meats to bring home. I got a cooler for just this reason. I have driven by your ranch.
We got bad feed from the place we bought it and out of a hundred cows we lost 37 cows and caves and they would not admit that they mixed it wrong and it cost the farm a lot of money one big set back for us and the farms around us that went through the same thing so I know what you went through
This was a fun week, in spite of losing that calf on Wednesday. Always love your daily adventures. Something new and different every day. Thank you for sharing your ranch life!
Matt is a good sidekick for you Mike.
Fabulous loved the kissing cow!!!!
The coconut segment was awesome, I could really relate to trying to Crack one open I ended up with the hammer also.
Mike In Saskatchewan there is farmers there using augers with motors to power and move them around
A welder could make you a cart and maybe even motorized it
I laughed so hard when the cow kept licking Matt that really made my day
Great watching your week on the Ranch. I used to get those Mineral tubes in Worthington Min, and take to K.C. when I drove Semi. Think the cows like Matt. Watch out for those cows Matt. Hungry for love. Thanks for sharing Iowa cares
Matt you look like you just made a new friend
Matt is 100% city boy.
Correction! Im only 99% city boy, and 1% Wyoming boy! LOL The math was done!
Great video. I love that cake spreader so cool. Super way to fill the grain bin also. Matt's a great help.God bless.
When he tasted that lick barrel, it cracked me up! Thanks for the laugh guys!
It wasnt bad at first but the back end was NASTY!
Hope it doesn't break your gator tailgate eventually. I would allow to roll on and put a 2x4 behind them or a ratchet strap so they won't roll around.
Hey Mike, I just got my first order of jerky from y'all. It is awesome! I agree the teriyaki is the best. I will definitely order again. Thanks for your hard work promoting agriculture. Texas needs more guys like you to push real deal American beef, chicken and pork ban imported meat.
Good morning (afternoon here!) Mike and family, watching from Cornwall, UK. 💗
Would love to try the jerky one day, it sounds so good!
We've never used Sturgis to prepare our beef, we just might have to after the fiasco at one in Montana... They mixed our good beef with some tough as boiled owl old cowhide & those steaks are like shoe leather... Never again. That COB reminds me of Omelean [sp?] minus the molasses. My barrel horse loved that stuff!
The way matt looked at you when you said (i thank he liked it ) is priceless 😆
When I was in the Police academy we were told to never ask victims if they liked it! 😁
I like the drive to Sturgis not fast forward.
It is an enjoyable ride. BUT the ride west on 90 to Buffalo is even nicer!
That dollar just bought some great content.
Hi Mike! It was so funny watching you guys open your coconut. I actually live in California and I’m used to eating coconut. Brown coconuts like the one you had are good for eating the flesh, but green fresh coconuts are good for drinking. If you have the opportunity try to get a green coconut for drinking.
Matt is quite a positive influence for you Mike. He’s a good buddy to have around. Great video
Matt never leave the door open when you’re surrounded by the cattle. Lol! Speaking from experience!
Your 100% correct. Got lucky for sure.
Received the Jerky today, so so so good. Will order more next month
🙂
Howdy Matt, tub licks are red, cake is blue, number two is in love with you. Have A Day! ;~)
LOL Now that was a good one!
Those beef sticks look a little like bacon! :)
The jerky is back!
Tell Matt thanks for the laugh, oh my goodness I laughed soo hard when that cow kept trying to lick him. 🤣👍🏽
Your welcome Susie, Learned that #2 has some real nasty breath!
Two has fallen in ❤️!
LOL LOL Well she isnt blind!
The word your searching for is “granola” 😊😊
BTW Jeff and Matt are great
Great video mike. That feed you ran up your beltoveyor into the homemade bin is what is known as textured grain.
Great week all but Wednesday. I think the elevator was used for ear corn. Looking forward to Matt's weekly vlog. You guys have a great week
Young coconut water taste a whole lot better
Good blog. Great idea with reusing the auger - If I am not mistaken if you move the hopper up the belt a bit or jerry rig something further up the belt you will fix your spillage issue. The COB is leaking out where the belt comes up through the hopper. Also wondering about moving the whole setup closer to the door so the hopper is outside (covered with tarp) and thereby make it easier to fill from a mini bulk as there will be some head room. Not sure there is room with the tractor in there though. Good job guys.
A steel cradle, with a hitch at the tall end and a short axle with a couple of wheelbarrow wheels (set high enough to throw a catch pan under) and you will have a handy, portable auger/belt elevator.
