2164 is the year Susan was 'dropped off'...if I remember well. She'll be back. My money's still on Mrs Flood As an old-school Whovian, I lost my shit when Harriet said 'Set'....because I knew the other names were leading to Sutekh
Susan was not abandoned. The first Doctor chose to let her live a life with someone with whom she had fallen in love. He allowed her to live her life instead of following him which she would’ve done mostly out of loyalty. And the two reunited for one more adventure in The Five Doctors. So, he returned to her in a way. Always thought the other Doctors would have at least hugged her. Also, Susan’s earth timeline was wiped out during the Time War between the War Doctor and 9th Doctor- after that event, the Daleks no longer take over 21st century earth, This story explored the events around Ruby’s birth and the actions of her mother- so Ruby’s mystery was touched but it resolved. I theorize that her birth and inner powers were engineered to challenge SUTEKH, perhaps by one or more of the other gods- gods tend to not get along. Love your review! YO!!! You are my friend for finding and using that Four clip!!! THANKS for this and special thanks for making it a stream!!!! I, too, wanted to see Susan. I think the last time she was in (standard) Who was The Five Doctors (?). See you next week!!!!
I don’t usually theorize about shows but this just sort of came to me. What if the woman in the cloak was River? What if in the 2-3 centuries she was married to the Doctor she was pregnant had Ruby and dropped her off at the church to keep her safe. Considering how wild River’s life could be and if it became known that the Doctor had an offspring, the anonymity of a foundling might keep her safe. Then … what if Ruby marries a guy named Foreman, gets pregnant, and names her daughter Susan? Susan then grows up and eventually meets the original Doctor. I guess this was brought on mainly because the Doctor says he hasn’t had kids yet. I don’t believe him. He’s said he’s been a father before so I’m thinking there’s some other reason for him saying that. But if he’s really never had kids then I’m going to wonder if that’s going to happen on the show now.
We still don't know that Ruby's story isn't tied in somehow, we still don't know who Mrs Flood is, we don't know if the references to Susan are important, there's a lot to resolve next week. And next week is a longer episode than usual too, so I'm expecting some answers!
Yeah but VHS' get ruined, its been 20 years they should have thought about transferring it. At least my family did back in the day so we wouldnt lose important stuff haha
Susan was left behind in the year 2164 as it was explained back in the First Doctor story "The Dalek Invasion of Earth" over 100 years in the future from the episode well 200 years from a 1964 perspective when the episode was broadcast. You obviously been reminded who Sutekh is the return of that character was one of the best things out of the whole episode for me in my opinion as Sutekh was one of my favourite villains growing up and is still voiced by the same actor Gabrielle Woolf aged 92 this year. I'm kind of glad it wasn't Susan as I feel it would had be a disservice to Carole Ann Ford who is still with us and to recast her like that would feel wrong. "Why are there no next time trailers?!" well it would spoil it wouldn't it lol ;)
I love that Sutekh always has a hype man around to big him up 😂
As all bully narcissists do(?) hhahahah

Same here! I yelled: "About damn time!!!! Lets go!!!"
I will say, even though DVDs still existed in 2004, I remember taping the S2 finale on VHS and that was 2006 😭😭
Yeah same!! I've still got taped versions of Series 4 lol
dvds existed in the 2000s but certainly not as a medium for security cameras
But this is England they are old fashioned.
Sutekh goes up against Ten in the comics. And he gets defeated by another deity named Dorothy Bell. So I'm wondering if Ruby is Dorothy's daughter.
I don't think they would pull from the comics
@@TheMess9898 maybe not but they should.
@TheMess9898
They did, that's where the Meep came from
@@Awesome_Pichu OOH, that's even more of a good point.

@@SoraMiyano Also, most importantly, Cherry Sunday must get her cup of tea!
@@JackBarrugon she better!!
It was CCTV footage. It's unlikely that a security camera would be burning security footage onto a DVD in 2004, despite the fact that DVDs existed.

Ruby rn is in the time window so she is still connected to it
I didn't remember, and that was one of my favorite classic episodes.
It looks a little, just a little different from that classic who episode hahaha

True! But I'm sure they will bring her back, she's still with us they cant let that oportunity go!
Nice to hear you're getting better.
thank you!
video too quiet for my phone and laptop.
Sorry about that! Try with headphones!
It was 2263 1 was trying to get Ian and Barbra back to there time but was 100 years off
Jesus.....it's Sutehk! I don't care about Ruby's mother. It's the best and most powerful villain. Finally, something for classic who watchers.
