I personally love this album, it's one of my favourites. The vocal harmonies are right up my alley, the riffs are tasteful and drumming is great, plus lots of modulation. Also, Origin of Escape isn't really in 6/8, it's just triplets, then some displaced cymbal work to fit them in groups of 4 in other sections of the track.
@@coreyclip1 Same tbf, it took me a good couple of listens to pick up on some stuff when I first found it. It's one of those albums that's just infinitely re-playable for me now.
I also think the album is "not bad". Some very good tracks and some very typical boring stuff. Funny though I like the same tracks you picked. I think some of their newer stuff is a bit more interesting than this album but "I the creator" it's still a classic track.
the documented lyrical panic.
@@Lilith_Reaver a historical moment
I'd love to see you check out their most recent album. They have a different vocalist now (Andy Cizek) and he goes all out on their new stuff.
How did I not know Andy was their new vocalist?? That really makes me want to check out their new stuff!
I'm with you in terms of what I'd consider the better tracks EXCEPT for Saga City. I love that song

@@TheDGBgamers I still don't think it's amazing but I definitely enjoy it way more now
I'd describe it as 12/8 (4 beats of 3) and then the other sections metric modulate to 6/4 (2 beats of 3, beats at half tempo). It's delicious.
