Probably the most esoteric design of any synths in history. Way ahead of its peer technology, & to this day.. I've never heard sounds as radical as this.
Oh, what I would give to have this synth... it's number one on my list of dream synths (number two being the Arp 2600 and number three I actually own, a Buchla Music Easel.) Didn't realize you were following me on SoundCloud, I followed back... also just bought your latest album! Excellent work you do all around!
These should be remade. Artists like Jean Michel Jarre could remake them in honour of the great inventors. As much of the original circuits as humanly possible - No vst - No LCD screen - Only how the manufacturers intended. The problem with modern equipment is it does to much and tries to be a jack of all trades & robs creativity on a metaphysical level. The sound of these early instruments is wild, Chaotic and unpredictable. Something which modern manufacturers hardly ever achieve.
I always wonder about that Breadboard... with the Resistors or whatever, plugged in at the bottom. They seem not to make sense. The traces just come out the back... but where the "Pins" would be plugged into the AKS, there's no Circuit. Is there? It almost just seems like it's an over-complicated "handle" ...to make it emulate complicated "Short" behavior. Am I missing something? Rad videos, by the by :]
Ok check this out: Go straight to 4:01 and pause then let it play until 4:13 and pause...what do you think of after hearing that ? I think of an alien taking it's first huge gulp of beer, then burping and gasping with pleasure as it starts to dance around freaking out over it's discovery! : ) So go back and listen again and see if that comes to mind...or not! LOL!Seriously this synth amazes me with it unlimited noise/sound capabilities...would LOVE to own one!Once I sat down I'd be there4 days!
musical or not musical, is a instrument and you can do everithing you want with it! tell to hendricks to be musical with the guitar! he burns them... not also in litterally way
I would like to apologize to Roland...Korg and Yamaha, I own all three. And what could be considered "simple" signal path synths. I gots me a Prophet~5, a Chroma, A Voyager, and several others. So, sorry. But, as I age I am realizing that I am drawn to experiment with sound. And I have an incentive...My wife loves it! lol. All synths are kinda cool...and you can be musical with them. Beware though, I used to work for a major music store...there is alot of plastic out there. This was an opinion.
Well, Transcendental? Metaphysical? Naaaaah... Pleasing to the ears, yes. Some of these sounds are like ripping some kind of strange material. Rubbery. "Modern" synths are, with exceptions, made for the masses...enjoying the filter sweep, and the wobbling bass, and the occasional "Beep".Even smaller modulars. But, there are the pioneers who create machines to make sounds that blow away synths like the modern korgs, rolands, yamahas, yada yada yada...
Bravo ❤
Freak out this is nuts if had money I would love this bravo great programming
