    I hope Arturia paid you well for this! I feel like I owe you something, I just learned more about synthesis from this video than I have from tens of hours elsewhere. Amazing, thank you so much!

    The only synth with a legitimate health warning! Thanks for the video, took me years to learn that the sounds that I love most, the deepest, most moving, most trippy, most mysterious sounds from the 70s, come from this synth. thanks for for the videos, I just bought this and hope to learn how to use it.

      Agreed. The Synthi (& VCS3) appear on more of my favourite albums than any other synth... not close

    Why haven't more people liked this? Thank you for this absolute-beginner friendly instruction video. I have synths myself, understand a little bit about how FM synthesis works, but the VCS3/Synthi? That's another story. I understand a little bit about modular synths and how to make a patch on 'm and about the difference between an audio signal and a signal with a control voltage. But I really needed this instructional video 'bout the VCS3/Synthi. :)

    Such a cool synth this one. I've had a Reaktor version for years, but only now I'm beginning to look into it properly because of the V collection and these videos! Top job!

      Thanks :) The Synthi (and VCS3 for that matter) are 2 of my favourite synths. They drip with the early 70's - my favourite musical era

    Thank you so much for this series. As a long time guitarist who is getting into synths, I figured getting a good grounding with this beastie would help my comprehension of other synths (I bought the Arturia V collection, so plenty to explore). These videos are pitched perfectly for me.

    Wish I had watched this video before trying it. Did exactly what you told not to do and it scared the shit out of me. These days I make it a habit to put a limiter when I experiment with new plugins but I tried this plugin in standalone mode without having much idea how out of control this can get with one wrong patching.

      @@OneManAndHisSongs I've seen already 15 videos, but I will do it again.
      I must say, your explanations are very very clear. You know, I'm french, but I understand you.
      So I will learn more with you. I already have all the Arturia collection, and I really like synthesizers like Synthi, Buchla Aesel, Minimoog, SEM, Korg MS20 and Arp2600. But Synthi is the most incredible

    i have a problem with this vst. There's a lopp going on endlessly and i dont know how to take that signal out so it finishes when the recording is done. It just keeps going. Any advices on this ?

      Episodes 8 & 9 of this series deal with the keyboard sequencer and functions page. Here's a link to the playlist: ua-cam.com/play/PL3P42Av427hy9BPc7Vp1Fx8tiXs2VMS6N.html

    No one seems to mention this basic question…why is this the only vst that my midi controller does not work for? How do I play this synth with my actual midi keyboard????

    • @OneManAndHisSongs
      @OneManAndHisSongs  11 місяців тому

      That's very odd. It works fine for me. When you open the settings panel (cog, top right), what info do you have in the "MIDI" tab? It should work fine with "Generic MIDI Controller", set to "Default", but maybe you have other settings in that page.
