Thank God there’s a solution for those front shades which definitely seemed like a hassle. The wrap-around blackout curtain seems reasonable, although motorized shades just like the ones in the rear would be ideal! Thanks for the great video! ☺️
Yea the front shades that came with the rig were frustrating. The curtain can be sticky pulling it around but like having it for flexibility. Motorized would be nice. I do love the motorized blinds in the rig … so easy!!! Thanks for watching!
All great mods, like the added shelf in the cab, we might consider adding that to our Terreno-Ion. Two minor corrections, unless Grech changed something for the 2023 Turismo, you have 4 house batteries, not 2. 4 315ah batteries, for a total of 1260ah. all their Ion models have the same electrical package except for the Turismo has 200watts of solar while the Terreno and Strada have 300 watts. And although they market their Terreno as 22’, it is actually 23’.
Yes, the shelf is one of our favorite mods - anything that adds storage is a huge help in our 19’ van. The wrap-around curtain can be a little tough to deploy quickly (as you could probably tell from the video), but other than that, it’s near perfect. Regarding the batteries, we were actually concerned when only 2 batteries showed up in our Lithionics app after the purchase (because we expected 4), but after some research and confirmation from Grech, found out that they actually changed from 4 house batteries to 2 with the same total 1,260ah. And thanks for the heads-up about the Terreno length. We just got the data from their website, which apparently needs to be updated! There isn’t a way for me to correct the video, but we’ll make a note for the future. Thanks again for the great feedback!
@@howwevan Wow, 2 batteries! I thought the 315ah batteries were large, those be quite large. But I would assume they are slightly less than twice the size and weight.
I guess they might be smaller then twice the size of the previous ones... but they still take up the entire area beneath the sofa. So no "garage" storage space!
Thanks for your comment. We get this question a lot and have decided to create a video to answer it. Planning to do it in the next week or so. Stay tuned!
Adding window covers for the rear would also help with insulation and free up the Shelf. Just subscribe can't wait for more videos specially on some of your trips.
As we mentioned, we got a 2022 AI19 in May, 2022. It was a great unit but not exactly what we had ordered due to supply chain issues so we ended up selling it and placing an order for a 2023 AI19 with their E1 package (similar to Grech Ion models) with expected delivery around Nov 2022. But around Aug or Sep 2022, we saw the Grech and it just has many more features than the AI 19 (microwave/convection/air fryer, dual induction cooktops, porcelain toilet, better wheels, to name a few). And on our test drive, the Grech had substantially fewer rattles than our previous AI 19 and the build quality just seemed superb. So we went with it and are loving it. We’ll have to try to put together a video one of these days discussing the differences of these 2 high-end units. I think both Grech and Airstream are super builds.
I don’t know the total but it was a pretty penny. 😬 Costs are mentioned in the video and links to all products mentioned can be found in the description. Thanks for watching!
It was pretty easy to do and feels nice to walk on in the bathroom (and keeps the floor dry after showering!). I’ve seen Amazon was out of stock of the part I used but any wooden bath mat should be able to be cut to size and work pretty well if you’re so inclined to take on the project.
Sorry about that - we got a new mic setup and definitely had some trouble with the wind noise and other stuff on this one (before we had no mic at all!). We are new at this and working to improve - hope our future videos are more easily heard. Thanks so much for watching!

Why did you sold Airstream Interstate 19 and buy this one? Can you please share pros and cons and what made you choose this one?

Lots of good info….thanks
Glad it was helpful! Appreciate the feedback. Thanks for watching.

Great suggestion! Will look into it now.
Did you need to use wheel spacers with the 4.3 suspension kit?
No, I don’t think they did (installed by Owl Vans). They install a lot of these kits and it goes pretty quickly (3 hours give or take).
@@howwevan Just ordered the 4.3 kit for ours. Thanks for all of the insight and tips.
Hi! Just wondering why you switched from AI19 to Grech Turismo Ion. Thank you!

So what was the total cost of the mods you chose ? They are all good choices.
I don’t know the total but it was a pretty penny. 😬 Costs are mentioned in the video and links to all products mentioned can be found in the description. Thanks for watching!
Looks good. I hated those factory mats too. Ordered one piece Weathertech, now happy.. Like to know more about accelerator mod.
Here’s a short video on the Pedal Control:

Btw, I don’t see that accessory on Owl Vans website

Like the bath mat mod!
