35:12 Saïx said Roxas & Axel’s names out loud with strong purpose, he was deliberately trying to trigger Xion’s memories so that she would return to her original persona, because during the entirety of KH3 Saïx was secretly helping the Guardians. He was the third person helping Vexen & Demyx.

I swear KH3 turned so many characters into such interesting focal points. Luxord went from bottom rung to top ten in one cutscene

12:27 Fun Fact! Sora being unable to count has led to an entire fan theory/rabbit hole about him losing memories.
You see, when he talks to the Nameless Star, he says 'someone' told him "you don't believe that," referring to Riku. But in Japanese, there's an extra detail - he uses a feminine pronoun used for younger girls. Implying that he no longer remembers where that quote came from.
As for where those memories are going, no one knows yet. But personally I have a theory that Yozora is working on Replica rules, and is taking Sora's memories of Riku in order to look the way he does. The same way Xion did for his memories of Kairi. That's why he can steal/copy Sora's keyblade in battle, and why he insist that this isn't his real face or body - because his heart was put inside of a replica.
I like this theory a lot actually. Your reasoning makes sense. I'll be interested what ends up happening with Sora and Yozora when we finally get KH4.
@@Fantavaria KH3 is actually one of the rare cases where the KH team _didn't_ get to work with the English Localisation squad. Usually they have the KH team look over the ENG translation, but the schedule for KH3 was so hectic that they had to skip it this time. Re:Mind might be in a better spot than the base game, but the original line with the Nameless Star is from the base game. Regardless, there's not really a more correct translation to be done, because English just doesn't have the same pronoun nuance that Japanese does. There's really no good way to communicate what's being said without adding a bunch of extra words to it.
As for Yozora, I think you misunderstood. He doesn't steal Sora's keyblade because of Riku, he steals Sora's keyblade because that's literally what Xion did to Roxas in Days. I just think that Yozora's face just influenced by the memories he's taking, being memories of Riku instead of Kairi. But that's seperate from the keyblade stealing thing.

What a majestic end to a beautiful series. Every moment has been filled with joy and perseverance, it's been a blast watching Frankie fall in love with a series that means so much to me for so many sentimental and personal reasons. Each edit brought me right back to sitting in front of my CRT and mashing X to win, all the way to finishing each game on multiple platforms. Even then I can't sing your playthrough's praises enough. The sighs, the screams, the tears and the cheers that I once had have been shared by everyone playing this franchise. All those edited moments flashed in my mind when playing KH3 and Re:Mind. From the depths of my heart, I cannot thank Frankie and Gideon enough for letting me relive this as if it were my first time playing all over again, it's been wonderful to take this journey with you. Can't wait to see how LimitCut goes!!
God I love this game. I swear, I cry at the ending every time. Also, the way the editor added where the memories from the feathers came from was amazing.

ok so trying to course correct early because you may be the only famous kh youtuber that actually noticed this on their own, but the fact sora thinks he only saved 6 hearts its important, but not because he cant count. he can count just fine (there's a cute scene where he uses his fingers to count up to seven in ddd). sora corrects himself in kh2 there because he inadvertidely counts roxas in the equation, i think nomura said in the past. in remind, he actually believes he really saved just 6 hearts before this point, because there is more than one detail around in kh3 and especially remind he has completely blocked off any and all memories that riku actually died and he had to save him. him saying six, the novel confirming he cant recall who told him that he wont give up and that this person believes in him, which he tells nameless star to reassure her. then, at the start of remind, the game makes sure to painstakingly repeat any and all moments from the kh3 finale... except one. as kairi is killed by the demon tide, remind specifically cuts off the sacrifice, which was shown twice in kh3, and we pick back up with a dazed unrensponsive sora who is now conscious after the sacrifice. this is even more confirmed because of the symbol in remind's subtitle, a musical symbol i beleive its called coda, which signifies a repeatition of a phrase of music, but a segment is skipped (remind starts as a do-over of the kh3 finale, but the sacrifice is skipped). donald saying sora cant count as a joke is not what was said in the original japanese kh3 game btw, there donald calls sora insensitive instead, since he cant feel he had so many hearts inside him
is this a theory or was it confirmed by Nomura? specifically the bits about 3 an remind, I knew the other stuff already
@KodasGarden this and lots of other kh3 mystery stuff has yet to be given any official explanations, we'll have to wait for next games like how we had to do in the past

But for the love of God, just a little bit more energy and desire to be understood would do wonders. Better grammar, better sentence structure (kill the run on sentences), paragraph spacing, and proper capitalization would actually make your textual thoughts legible.

Every single time, the editing overlaying memories and callbacks makes me almost sob with joy! It's so incredibly done and I'm so glad to be able to watch Frankie's journey through the games ❤
I think it's so interesting that Ventus and Vanitas basically have the opposite conversation that Sora and Roxas had in DDD. Back in DDD, Roxas said that he and Sora were the same, but Sora said they weren't the same and that Roxas deserved to be his own person. Here, however, Vanitas calls himself Ventus' brother, but Ventus says they're not brothers, they're the same. Really shows that despite being similar, Sora and Ventus are also pretty different in certain ways as well.

edit now i've watched it: i dont know how anyone can bash 3 as a bad game. we got everyone fighting and interacting with each other after all these years... if you told 12 year old me who started playing Kingdom Hearts 2 that this was ever going to be a thing i'd never believe you.

The people who bash 3 are the ones that think the non-numbered games are optional then are mad they missed stories. They have no clue what's going on because they missed out on so many additional games.
My only issue with 3 was the pacing all the major stuff happens in the last couple hours of the game

KH2 is literally "let's go to random disney worlds until we find Riku" seriously, tell me what Port Royal or the Pride lands add to the story? in KH3 literally EVERY world is tied to the narrative either from Sora's side or the organization, Sora NEEDING someone to learn from how to recover from a great loss is the literal reason the game HAS to start in Olympus

It's been an incredible journey getting to see Frankie experience all of these for the first time. Just a little bit to go and sh'll be caught up and fiending for the next game like the rest of us! As much flak as KH3 got, some of it deserved, some of it not, it was an amazing game IMO, and my only "complaint", if you can even call it that, is THE TEARS I HAVE TO SHED EVERYTIME I SEE THE ENDING ;-; Just let Sora and Kairi be happy, Nomura, you mean, wonderful man!

1:20:08 It’s kinda crazy how many people forget that The World Ends With You is also part of Kingdom Hearts. Though to be fair, its characters have only made one appearance so far.
Been confirmed it's not The World Ends With You, but it is Shibuya, just not that Shibuya.
@ But they show you the 104 building, which is from TWEWY. The real building in the real Shibuya has 109 on it, but TWEWY’s building has 104.
@@Purechaos61 i think what we're supposed to take from this is that it's likely a similar sort of Shibuya that might even have its own Reapers and Reapers Game etc. and the TWEWY crew as we saw them in DDD may have come from there, maybe similar (or even the exact same) events occurred, but it's not literally the same Shibuya as in the original TWEWY games. it's an AU version, much like how the FF cameos are alternate versions of their original selves. meaning playing TWEWY will help with your understanding of KH but the games aren't themselves "kingdom hearts" games. if that makes sense. the story of one series isn't to be taken as direct canon to the story of the other.

Kingdom Hearts is truly a wonderful Love story as it nearly all forms of love...but to me, Re:Mind is a Romance story and really shows the love between Sora and Kairi, and what Sora would do for her.
Sora's platonic and filial love is off the charts - he'll go to the ends of the earth and other worlds for you.
Bur Sora lost his heart and subsequently a year of his life for Kairi.
Sora traveled worlds and dimensions, through time, and into the hearts of others...for Kairi.
And in the end he lost his right to exist for Kairi.
Frankie came just in time to help me get through the last 2h of my work shift! :D

I remember reading that theory and liking it because I felt KH3 was rushed. Re:Mind put that theory to sleep (pun intended) and it fixed all my issues with KH3.
