- In this episode of to the garage, John puts the next stages of his plan to create the perfect garage/ shed/ parking space combo. A heavy duty weed membrane gets used in combination with 'gravel grids' a brilliant idea which spreads the load of vehicles, they stop the gravel from moving around and create a perfectly even layer or gravel

Good video really like the time lapse of the gravel going in. Hope you have a weed free driveway for many years to come. Great work👍🏼
Gravel Grid looks great ,I was looking at paving my back yard but your solution looks like what I was looking for cheers , love your xk8 ,real class cheers d
Great job! Really excellent use of our older grid model.
Does it still work if ya base isn't all even?. We had driveway tarmaced and there's small parts where its uneven. Can't afford to have re done. Thinking of doing this
Great video ware did you get your grids from ? Thanks
Hi, did you find that you needed to use less gravel vs what you would have needed if you'd laid it without the grids? Also how is it driving over? I currently have 40mm pea gravel down (no grids under) and its awful to drive over - feels like driving in snow and walking over is like walking on ice. So now considering placing grids down.
Hi, can the gravel grids be felt underfoot or seen once fully covered with the gravel? I were just going to put gravel onto weed membrane for the garden path I'm making however he grid really seems to create a sturdier base to walk on than without them.
Late to the party but I'm researching this. How is it holding up now. I've had people out to quote for this prepping. But they all say I need tarmac. I really like gravel though. I have it all round my garden already. But I need a parking area doing and I want water to freely drain. Thanks
Was the ground compacted prior to the membrane and grid?
Are you not meant to put sharp sand underneath the core?
