I have a black '63 Cadillac just like this. It is a great daily driver, gets the looks everywhere you go and my gosh the ride quality is just superb!
@Kyle Peterson Congrats, that's great. My father had a '63 when I was maybe 6 or 7 years old. It was a 2 door Coupe De Ville, Dusty Rose colored.
@@oldiesgeek454 I wish it were a 20door Coupe haha. Very nice! I'm sure you miss that car.
That thing is both beauty and beast.
Wow! A lot of great car at a really good price. What a classic.🇺🇸
These early 60s Cadillac & Lincolns were so iconic,,wouldn't take much to make it a Sunday driver to the ice cream parlor w/ kids & dog!
Unfortunately I am two years late to this post, would have definitely checked it out and possibly picked it up. This car is perfect how it sits, I wouldn’t do a thing to it, the most I would do is a polish. Perfectly defines original. Love it.
Same here, 4 year laters after picking up a 63 for 13k in Long Beach CA, it's incredible how market changes in different places.
Beautiful project car!
My Grandfather had a four window Sedan deVille. Beautiful rendition of all the styling Q's of Cadillac. The pointed grille the fins, the square rear bumper, and the gorgeous roof line. All in proportion and elegant in modest taste. In nineteen fifty nine he was ready to move from Buick to Cadillac, but being conservative in matters of style, he declared the 59 as "too God Damned gaudy" and opted for a Lincoln Premiere. As a seven year old l hardly understood what "gaudy" meant. The Lincoln was a beautiful car also, and he completely enjoyed it. However, he still wanted the standard of the world. I loved the look of that automobile then, and at nearly seventy, l still do. Classic in every detail, and no other American design has so completely captured the "American Dream".

Thank you, aptly said! 👍😃🙏

@@elaineewalt8137 Thank you Elaine. When I saw your reply and read what it was about.....I had long forgotten my remarks about Grandpa's car. I am seventy now , and I still adore the four window sedan, sixty-three Cadillac.

Yes Sir thst's Great you still have and enjoy it! 😃👍 Keep on Cruisin' and listenin" to the Oldies! 💖👍🎷🎵🎶🎙🎼🎹🎸
I have a Sixty-Two Series convertible (‘63). I’m pretty sure this was a Sedan deVille, unless one could order two-toned interiors in the lesser 62 Series? The 62’s door-pull handles are completely different, better in my opinion. I need to sell mine but just can’t bring myself to part with her! Thanks for sharing you memories of your grandfather; many Cadillac owners had similar feelings about the 59s. Cadillac over-corrected in ‘61 (“too much Chevy in the grille”) was the common refrain dealers were hearing. Unfortunately, customers would have to wait until 1963 to get the right balance of styling proportions befitting a grand automobile.
Nice
I don't know a thing about restoring cars. But I'm very curious to know how much it would cost to fix the paint problem on the hood. Would you be able to fix that on its own? Would you to have the entire car repainted in order for it to look right?
Looks like a deVille to me. I have a sixty-two series and the door trim is different; different pull handle, no two-tone colors, etc. Trivial, I know, since the listing is so old.
