This is great. Thank you. I just got a bunch of Milwaukee Packout gear for my tools, spares, chemicals, and extras when I take my motorcycle to the race track. I'm starting the process of leaving my three drawer Boxo toolbox to the Packout four drawer box.
@@Lechnology_Engineering I'm really OCD so i would like for everything to have a "Slot" and perfect fitment, if you take commisions i would be down to do that.
*This is such a great idea! With these 3D printed magnetic socket and wrench organizers, I would free up a lot of room in my toolbox and make it so much easier when I need to take my tools for a remote repair.*
as an auto tech for 40 years , these racks make me wish i had bought a 3d printer sooner! ghreat work and thanks just a heads up 90% of tools today are metric !
Get a 3d scanner as well. I've got a motorcycle, and a 3d printer combined with a 3d scanner makes it a lot easier to replace missing pieces of body work from when a bike gets dropped. You can print a back to the part and then use plastifix to fill in the empty hole.
I do a lot of printing very similar to what you have done. But the bar shaped magnet addition is brilliant, especially when you can hang them on something away from the toolbox. Great job. Subbed up and liked.
Some of these are actually quite cool. Well done man. I may have to do some Tinkering with the socket sizes. But I reckon this is way better than a lot of commercial "solutions".
Thank you John! Yeah I decided to make them custom so that they work perfectly for every single socket. I don't like that custom sizes skip specific sizes or even let you put them out of order
I would honestly say that if you are willing to tinker with an older Creality machine like you recommended Id look definitely look at buying a Prusa mk3s used as Prusa machines are well known for their reliability and longevity. If you have the money a new Prusa or Bambu machine is going to be so much nicer especially if you intend to use a 3D printer for lots of engineering/technical projects. I had a Creality K1 and it was not a great experience so I bought the Prusa MK4 and its been a night and day difference. You get what you pay for with these printers, plus the auto offset and calibration is so nice and I can spend more time doing my shop projects.
Hey Alex, Thank you for your printer insight! I definitely want to switch printers soon, it's been a good run. I definitely would like to save up for a Bambu but since they aren't open source its turning me away from it. I'll either wait for their new generation of printers to come out or see what printer Prusa responds with. Thanks again!
@@Lechnology_Engineering absolutely! I myself run the Prusa MK4 and it’s been a solid machine. It’s more expensive but I expect it to last me a long time with general maintenance.
You can know it, but you'll almost certainly forget it here and there! Also there is a thin foam sheet that is sandwiched inbetween and if it's not there, all the sockets fall out when you carry it upright! So happy I designed a change! Thanks for watching!
I think you just convinced me to buy a 3d Printer. I've wanted one for other things, but just these will go towards paying off half the purchasing cost
Great video! Im looking to get into 3d printing, I know you said the printer was a decent one but I hate buying thigs twice., If you were starting over what printer would you go with. Thanks
If I didn't like to tinker with things and want it to simply work, I'd go with Bambu Labs. If I wanted it to be open source so I can install my own plugins I'd probably go with Prusa
They sure do! The Stanley is my first set! They have lifetime warranty too! I'm a casual mechanic so I don't need the snap on / Matco stuff, as nice as that would be!
@3:44 bruh is this some sort of micro aggression to try and trigger us?! Please print a proper wall and some organization for the adapters in the lower left and the extensions!!!! Haha! 10mm is always missing
Thank you sir! The 10mm socket is actually super glued in place

There are lots of excellent solid modelors out there! Fusion 360 is free, and you might be able to get a student license for SolidWorks or Autodesk
