Tommie is fabulous with this horse. Thank you for sharing these valuable learning videos. Both of you are treasures in our sport. Please share more about how to open the throat latch keeping the neck in the open position 🎉 ❤
So interesting and helpful your exercises. This one I'm practicing on every single hack with my hot horse. Boy it makes such difference. No instructor has ever told me this. This should be tought to ALL riders from the start (not just at a level most of us will never reach).
Right, I'm not a dressage rider and I do not have a dressage horse. But I enjoy your videos so much and try to implement as much as I can - and the impact is huge. Proof that dressage is the fundament of classical riding - and not "just" a sports discipline.
Is it true that hot horses are really lazy and trying to run away from the work? I find it not to be true, as 'lazy' horses can oftentimes get hot if they really enjoy their work, and the 'lazy' is mostly symptomatic of a horse that's bored and lack enrichment in his training.
@Begijnhoeve_official Thank you for your reply. That makes a lot more sense than the old saying that a hot horse is really a lazy horse trying to run away from work.

No but its not so easy to make a hot horse responsive for your leg and wait for the aids. They like to run off by them selves 😉
