  • For the longest time, we have heard from many experienced ‪@ptc‬ Creo users that sharing expressions from one part to another is not possible. At Design Visionaries, we like a bit of a challenge, so we decided to tackle this problem and found a solution. Let us know if this helps you out!

Thank you Jose, it's good to know this is achievable in Creo. However, rather unfortunate and fairly typical of Creo, the Creo way is obtuse and the workflow is rather clunky compared to other CAD programs (such as NX and SolidWorks). Bravo for figuring this out in Creo!

Awesome video, but I have a couple questions if you don't mind answering them.
    1. It looked like the relation was grayed out in the gasket. Does that mean you cannot modify the dimension from the gasket model & you would have to revise, or checkout the flange to modify those dimensions?
    2. What would happen if you did a design sequence change & wanted to swap out that flange for a new flange part? Would you have to go into every model & change which flange it is related to?
    Thanks!
