- Go ahead and put in your vote as a comment. Death metal, deathcore, or both. If it's neither for you, then get the fuck out. Songs used:
Death Metal:
Suffocation "Entrails of You"
Malevolent Creation "Injected Sufferage"
Resurrection "Pure Be Damned"
Jungle Rot "Gore Bag"
Deathcore:
Martyr Defiled "An Act of Sedition"
Whitechapel "Single File to Dehumanization"
And Hell Followed With "Deadworld Reclaimation"
Oceano "Depths"
I like both. Deathcore really doesn't deserve the hate it gets.
it does deserve the hate it gets, emos ruining everything
@Gankzor the hair cuts make me vomit and the lyrical content is just how tough they are ... actually thinking again they are edgy teenagers rather than emos
@@arockfloatinginspace4488 bro are u stuck in 2000s? Deathcore kinds seems very different compared to that era
@@RibeiroGames12 nope the deathcore bands still have the same image
@@arockfloatinginspace4488 no fuckin way loooool
idgaf death metal and deathcore are both very brutal in my opinion
You can tell that guy Michael Jackson is death metal and he'll say that MJ's music is more brutal than Whitechapel's.
Hard to choose these both genres are fucking heavy but I think I'm gonna go with DeathMetal but I love Deathcore as well🤘🤘
I honestly vote the deathcore and the Suffocation breakdown. I am a metalhead too but I don't let fashion ruin music I listen to. I could give two shits less if everybody in the band wore make up and short shorts. If they play good music that is all I care about.
I prefer death metal, it actually has more than one note picked and isnt boring.
Simply put, the breakdowns in death metal sounded more heavier because you can simply thrash. You can't thrash in deathcore.
Oceano tho, So good. Adam is a fucking beast of a vocalist.
Those deathcore breakdowns better, but i have better exemples of death metal breakdowns: hammer smashed face, witches coven or... Nah, any breakdowns and slams from Mortician, Devourment, Abnormity
So slam is real opponent of deathcore
@7dayspking you want badass breakdowns listen to Devourment and Dying Fetus
i love both deathcore and death metal...
sorry?
I like death metal breakdowns better because all of them aren't used with drop A guitars (which I have no problem with) and are faster and catchier instead of the run-of-the-mill 1 on the 6th string and open on the 5th
I guess that the breakdowns of Malevolent Creation are better in Retribution than in TTC but good vid 👍
TBDM is death metal.
Different dynamics is really all I see. They both seem to follow the same formulas unique to their genre in varying degrees is all. For me it's a matter of personal taste. I think Deathcore gets too noisy for me and I just don't find the style appealing. It's not to say deathcore is any worse or better. Honestly, the music fascism I see with all the different genres is pretty stupid. It is what it is.
both are pretty good, but an honest answer, i like deathcore a lot more. but having said that, i have respect for both genres and their fans.
I think you could have made better choices in Both genres :\ i would have taken for death metal six feet under, cannibal corpse etc and for Deathcore suicide silence, all shall perish, Whitechapel (but the stuff from their latest record is not too much of deathcore anymore) and carnifex :\ but thats just an opinion :) In my opinion Death Metal is more groovy(Six feet under ghosts of the undead f.e)and Deathcore is more fucking heavy as you can see f.e. in carnifex - sorrow spell :P but like both
Listen to depressive black metal like lifelover, diagnose:lebensgefahr, nilfheim or silencer and you'll think disfiguring the goddess is fucking rad!
@Punjabi192 slayer..... uhhh they don't even growl check out cremated existence by ingested if your a metal fan or if your open for somthing new affliction by science of sleep
*Death Fokin Metal*
Death metal has tons of dynamics. You just aren't listening hard enough. Plus, deathcore is trendy and overproduced.
@rectifytheblack420 Well then good deal sir. I agree with you full heartedly. I am more of a prog-head now but this is what got me started in somewhat more technical and well composed music. Gotta stick to my roots still.
Death metal forever
@MetalReigns2 i agree they are i was just showing you 2 similar bands to fleshgod apocolypse notice all 3 bands same vocals?
But o think death metal really doesn't gave breakdownds hence the core in death
Emo deathcore like matyrdefied sucked but white chapel and despised icon type bands were pretty good gave suffocation vibes
@7dayspking I like the vocals actually, you can understand it but I agree, his vocals arent that heavy, but dude, listen to karl sanders vocals, they are fuckin insanely low and brutal, ingested is very brutal, but theyre slamming brutal death metal, tehy should be, nile is technical death metal, the burtality is a side effect, thats why I love em brutal and technical all in one, in my opinion theyre the top death metal band right now and theyve got one of the best drummers in metal.
@Punjabi192 Yeah, Enslaved are great, I'd say Axioma Ethica Odini is one of the top metal albums to come out in years. Just my opinion, though.
deathcore breakdowns sound better to me :P
some idiot told death metal doesn't have breakdowns, I almost prove him wrong by saying Suffocation, Devourment, Deeds of Flesh etc.
woah 2:40 everyone looks emo and then the guy in the middle is wearing an origin shirt lol
i think u couldve picked better death metal breakdowns
u shouldve thrown some cryptopsy, cannibal corpse or dying fetus in there
still though the DM breakdowns here are better than the downtuned chug chug metalcore breakdowns
@MetalReigns2 i agree although personally i prefer when a band uses an excessive amount of snare drum like this song /watch?v=AuL1z-MnCi8 or like this /watch?v=i5lkKB7riYg (the first song is better second one is ok i used to know songs that sounded better with alot of snare drum but i can't remeber them) yes there both core this is when the both bands first started first one is aversions crown first ever song second is i ate everybody's third ever song and one of there last
Technical Death Metal drummers are not only faster than Deathcore drummers, but they actually play with technicality, would love to see a Deathcore drummer play Jazz or classical, it just wouldn't happen. Technical Death Metal guitarists and bassists also out right destroy Deathcore Guitarists and bassists, both for speed and Technicality, Deathcore is very simple, hence the shit open chord Breakdowns.
Deffinitely deathcore
@rectifytheblack420 the deathcore breakdowns are 'heavier' just cause they tune to drop A
to me alot of deathcore breakdowns sound to similar and boring, just chug chug and they ride the kick drum
DM breakdowns just feel better to me,Im not a complete deathcore hater so dont get me wrong
@MetalReigns2 your a lil close minded to pure deathmetal influences nile dosen't have many blast beast in "alot" of there songs some have them i'm talking majority vs majority ingested are consistantly heavy all there songs but nile have some that have no heaviness at all i like nile you don't get it but your right about me i prefer brutal vocals above all yes now the son(arra dragon):heavy some of it but the vocals weren't anywhere near as good as ingested of science of sleep
I love Oceano,.
Different between deathmetal and deathcore, Deathcore = Brutal vocals (more gore) and breakdowns, Something I can move to, They don't tremolo pick as often and use brilliant rifts and chugs. Deathmetal = Tremolo pick with gay vocals and they choose amps that don't stand out, the mastered version sucks and sing about dark gay shit -,- I vote deathcore
@rectifytheblack420 Most deathcore bands in general haven't really done a good job on being metal though. I kind of like job for a cowboy and forgot to mention them, but overall in general I really dont like Oceano, horizon, suicide silence, or basically any core band with skinny jeans and emo hair, especially if the hair looks gay. and I *HATE* hardcore dancing. And I cant stand any screamo like attack attack, silverstien, brokencyde or any of that shit. But I suppose Whitechapel is a bit tech
Death metal did good breakdowns before deathcore edgelords ruined them
@bestialdevastation11 deathmetal has no breakdowns slamming brutal deathmetal does though check out this battle between a slam death band and a deathcore 1 great music
part 1: /watch?v=LPENv5LI0YA
part 2: /watch?v=HiVlOgRo_iY
@7dayspking i love fleshgod, they fuckin rule, drummer is sick, almost as good as george kollias. Which is fucking amazing.
Name any deathcore bands and I'll tel you 4 death metal bands that are heavier, Devourment, Mortician, Nile, and Malodorous.
This comment is 7 years old and I bet you’re still a fucking chode. They’re equally as heavy
Oh yeah
@rectifytheblack420 bro deathcore started in 1992 when a band called "deathcore" decided to slow down the music in different parts of there songs which is 10 years before suicide silence maybe more
really bad examples of breakdowns on death metal except for suffocation I guess. Well if death metal uses "breakdowns" we call them slams. Suffocation, Internal Bleeding, Pyrexia, Dehumanized, Dying Fetus, Scattered Remnants shit like that are good examples of grooves and slams. Breakdowns will forever be associated with shitty deathcore period.
oh btw i believe the posers bashed u?
I LOVE BOTH OF THEM SO MUCH IM GONNA CRY but the 2nd death metal band kinda sucked
nice video ;D
personally, I like more Deathcore jeje
Hails /,,/
@dannyx1309 all shall perish deathcore bloodbath technical deathmetal and decrepit birth have some brutal deathmetal songs
Both are amazing genres, both have good bands, both have shitty bands. But really, ask yourself, what's heavier? By the way breakdowns came from hardcore punk, they didn't just spring up in deathcore
@7dayspking Yeah those bands are pretty sick, not that great though, except rings of saturn, they rule, sweeps arent that technical, theyre pretty geneneric to be honest, technical deathcore bands usually get all caught up in sweeps that they forget to write a riff, they all sound the same. I listen to deathcore and death metal, I've heard much more than just the chugga chug breakdowns, tech death metal bands are much more original and creative with their work.
"Sing about dark gay shit"? "Something I can move to"? You sound like you should listen to pop. It's really danceable and they don't sing about darkness or anything you might find offensive. Death metal vocalists don't need to inhale or cup the mic, and the riffs require way more talent to play.
Not saying tht deathmetal isn't good, just not as good
@rectifytheblack420 soz my bro fcommented on this umm i look at thbe comments and io just watched the video looks like u kinda did comments wise anyways because every1 here is h8ing on you for liking deathmetal looks like your video lacks support oh well m8 if u h8 deathcore but like sport watch my rugby video huge rugby hits and big impacts 1 good hits on it and will show u a small taste of better deathcore
@musicore12 Lol no, that's deathcore. Deathcore all sounds the same with the fucking samey-as-shit breakdowns. Death metal is fast, heavy as fuck, and original, like metal should be.
@MetalReigns2 haha bro you make me laugh listen to these 2 deathcore songs
1. /watch?v=ncPQ5eb6bL8&feature=g-all
2./watch?v=keKJ0IwnND8
the problem is your only seeing the breakdowns not the whole songs a(by the way those bands are very well technical and as far as i am concerned annoying not very melodic alot like nile or bloodbath want melodic technical deathcore look up aversions crown
Deathcore is just so much better deathmetal is constint speed. Basicly just blast beats and rampant gutair picking compared to deathcore wich had speed. But also includes breakdowns and slams wich add a nice touch
Deathcore still sounds like dog water
dis vidz ok prob is a] deathmetal has no breakdowns and those deathmetal songs arent really showing any sign of breakdowns b] the deathcore bands u chose r alright.. but the breakdowns r way better in the underground e.g plead by i killed everyone and placentasaurus by eat a helicopter and lastly those shitty death metal bands are yelling???? dude.... yelling is heavy metal... not deathmetal they shud b screaming or something and btw i personally like deathcore better but anyways nice try
Since when is Deathcore heavier than Death Metal? Deathcore bands tune to ridiculously low setting just to sound remotely Heavy. There are MANY Death Metal bands that tune to D and sound Heavier than many Deathcore bands, Flattening of Emotions (Remastered) by the Pioneers of Death Metal, the Band Death, just out right destroys Deathcore, and is only in D standard. Deathcore drummers also suck major balls, Deathcore kids seem to think "speed" makes them good, Wrong.
James Smith bro just listen to oceans ate alaska it’s not deathcore but theres a new good band
@dannyx1309 they started deathcore??? bro where the fuck did you get your facts of a cereal box actually you might find a deathmetal band called "deathcore" started deathcore in 1992 it used to be really underground now it's pretty mainstream theres still alot of undergounrd deathcore as there is alot of underground metal
Deathcore is just heavier
Fuck no
You are clearly wrong poser
All the deathcore crap sounds the same lol 😂
Deathcore sux
@tpops123 And I'm not even into them that much lol. But the black dahila murder is amazing!!!!
Its shit i would rather listen to suicide silence or whitechapel over this emo band
The breakdowns are just the same note over and over again. It's not heavy, it's stupid. Tuning lower does not mean heavier. Plus, if you're listening to music just because it's heavy, it proves the one-dimensionality of deathcore.
Deathcore have amazing sound and style and deathmetal is monotone and bored!
Silence poser
There are amazing bands in both genres.
Bro deathcore breakdowns sound the same every fucking time
I hate deathcore so much, especially Oceano. Metal is actually brutal, most deathcore bands are total posers. With the exception to The Black Dahila Murder, which has ELEMENTS of Deathcore but they're not Deathcore at all. They're closer to metalcore and not the emo kind.
how bout you listen to actually deathcore bands like the red chord and animosity not this breakdown ewvery 5 seconds crap
@7dayspking HAVE YOU EVEN LISTENED TO NILE? THEYRE FUCKING HEAVIER THAN ANY DEATHCORE BAND YOU CAN NAME. You obviously just think that brutality is way better, deathcore bands are brutal but not as brutal as death metal bands. listen to 4th arra of dagon and those whom the gods detest, and ingested is awesome, but they are in NOOOOO FUCKING WAY better than nile, maybe the other bands but not nile.
Deathcore have amazing sound and style and deathmetal is monotone and bored!
