Brian, you did it again. What an awesome video of The Grand Moon Palace. You covered pretty much everything. Honestly, you have the BEST videos of the Grand. The Grand should give you free accommodation for being their unofficial spokesman. I just can't wait to go there again
My family has been part of the palace members for years now and we looooove visiting any of the palace resorts but our favorite is moon palace for sure. Last yr we stayed at the grand for the first time and lovvvved it going back this year!
I went to the grand in 2016 before it was done and they are the best. Our room was right by construction and we were woken up our first morning by the endless vehicles and power tools we politely asked if there was anything they could do. They apologized and upgraded our 2 normal rooms to the last 2 rooms open in the whole resort which happened to be 2 presidential suites that just opened a few weeks prior. It made our vacation. That was our 5th or 6th time to moon palace since 2004 and it keeps getting better every time.
Thank you for your thoughtful review of the Grand Moon Palace resort. Everything in your review were on point and impeccable. After watching your review, we were convinced this is the all inclusive resort we wanted to stay. My wife and I vacationed there in November 2019. The steak house and the Asian fusion restaurant were my favorites! My wife was at awe with the spa. We will definitely book longer stay this year so we can enjoy all amenities and their subsidiaries resort. Tip is not expected but we gave tips all the time--it is well worth it, workers provided excellent customer service!
I've watched so many videos on the grand and yours are the best. Never knew about the princess spa, the credits, the taco place and the Japanese place until I saw yours. Going in a few weeks. Can't wait !!! Thanks again
Really appreciate your yearly updates on progress at the resort. We are heading there in 10 days and your video series was extremely helpful for planning! Thank you!
Our stay was amazing there and the New Year’s Eve celebration was simply incredible, would highly recommend. The staff were simply amazing and the variety of food was good
same Sam we had an leek in our room water had came out of our lights from burst pipe upstairs to we had to just get a brand new room and the from the staff are fantastic too in the playroom

thank you so much for this video we definitely learned so much for your trilogy on the moon palace resort. I cannot thank you enough for spending so much time for the sake of us as well as being an epic chad and being a full on unit. You are a true epitome of a swag master. I hope you have a wonderful time with you and your family. And yet again thank you!
Thanks. My recommendation is to book flex fare so you can change or cancel with no money down or penalty. Very handy since it seems policies are changing say by day it seems.
We have been to all the Excellencies in Cancun it least 3 times. We will head over to the Grand for the first time in July with the kids and The Oyster Bay Jamaica Excellence in June. My only suggestion to any all-inclusive travelers to places like the Grand (which have a large property and many restaurants.) Try to plan out a schedule for all your dinners before going. Download the menus.Try to eat two dinners a night. Most dinners are of small portion. We order one meal at dinner and split it four ways. So we actually order two platesand head over to another restaurant. Then you can repeat the best restaurants. Also, we stay away from the sugar and carbs. All they do is fill you up. I also cut way back on the beer and drink scotch. Again, little sugar. Regarding the buffets. I recommend walking around the buffet a few times without a plate. Look closely and you might find a dish behind a dish. A few years back the wife and I were at the Excellence and she found one quart of fish soup that was for the most part hidden. We were in heave and laughing like kids. Needless to say, we ate the entire quart of fish soup.
Thanks very much for your excellent videos they have helped a lot to help myself and my family and friends to choose the grand as our next vacation in 2020, we have booked a garden view room, can you tell me what room type you booked on this trip? As I love the view you had, what floor was your room on? Cheers Craig
Hi Craig. I booked a garden view I believe. We were on the third floor. I’ve stayed all over the resort now and can guarantee there is no bad building. They all have their advantages be it close to the lobby, close to the pool, close to the day club. It’s all good. If you asked me where I want to stay next time, I’d probably say surprise me.
@@EverydayReviews2022 we are now, we were watching recent videos to get an idea of the covid protocols in place as we’ve come across some videos where it seems as though masks are not required but optional, would you happen to have a better insight on this?
Great video again, Brian. Saw your part 1 and made a trip in 2018. Great to know things have improved even more. I think that dish is called breakfast Pide at Habibi. What dates do you plan to be in Dec 2020? Also, have they started giving personalized pick up and rides from the airports? When we went in 2018, there was no one to receive us. We went to a Moon Palace desk and asked for a ride showing our reservation. We had booked thru Costco.
I absolutely recommend this hotel, I went there for my 16th birthday and they treated me so well, they gave us two full birthday cakes and whatever restaurant we went to they always did a performance for us and the food has good quality. You never get bored I’m absolutely going again.
Hi Brian. I stumbled across your videos while I was trying to research reviews of The Grand Moon Palace. After watching Part 1, I had to hit the subscribe button. Your videos are so informative and jam packed with awesome details regarding resort activities, dining, resort credits etc. I will be referring to your videos to plan out my vacation itinerary. Just a couple of questions, did you book your vacations through a travel agent or travel website to get the best deal? How far in advance did you reserve your accommodations?
Wow. This is my first time here watching your video. Wow just wow. I think you covered just about everything except Wireless activity or strength how good is the wireless internet in the rooms? Oh, and one other thing, could you go over which rooms or buildings are best for ocean views?
Have a look at Part 1 and 2 as well if you haven’t. WI-FI is strong throughout the resort. Used Netflix and messenger all week and even worked on the beach.
I loved you reviews. I am wondering, have you ever stayed at Xcaret Hotel and if so how would you compare it to the Grand? TIA. Also I am reading from the FB group that as of August you only get resort credits if you are a member...🤷🏻♀️ Others are saying if you stay at the Grand, the Grand is the only palace resort you can go to unless you are a member? This does make me hesitant on reserving this hotel.
Another great Video Brian! Have you considered booking through a Member? I noticed in Part 2 you mentioned the Resort Website, but there are other options for people interested in going for better rates and more benefits
Yes I’ve had literally dozens of members approach me to book through them. The price is a little better but not worth it for me especially in the last couple of years when things can change in a heartbeat. I love the flex fare through the website because I don’t pay a single penny until I get there. If I find a better deal or need to cancel for any reason, I just shoot them an email and done. No waiting around for months for a refund and love the fact that I don’t have to outlay thousands of dollars so far in advance. Resort credits is the only thing missing not booking through a member now which isn’t that big of a deal, we still get free transport, never have issues getting a spot at any of the pools so don’t need the fancy wristbands for that, and normally don’t have any issues getting into the restaurants. I guess the long and short is that really like the flexibility and the little premium that I pay per night is completely worth it for me. As much as I love it there, I think it may be time to move on as the prices have gotten almost out of reach lately so I may try and discover another great resort. 🤞
@Silvia Hoard The pools are heated during winter. I am currently looking at some alternatives to the Grand. As much as I love the place, their communications are something to be desired. I’ve been discussing with them a trip where I would bring many families and have a special Everyday Reviews get together for all viewers. They’ve seem to completely fallen off the earth and not even a knowledge any type of communication. It’s quite disappointing.
thanks for the great video! we're planning our trip at this resort from 12/15-12/23; is there a way to find out for sure if the corporate booking will definitely happen during this time. I did call them directly but they are not able to share that info. Thank you again for the great tips in your videos!
Hi there, I am wondering if the Dec 17th to 23 rd corporate event is still happening. We were looking into going to this resort during the first week of Christmas break!
I love these review updates. Next time can you consider The Grand Reserve at Paradisus Palma Real in Punta Cana? It's very comparable to The Grand at Moon Palace from the looks of it, but with a beautiful beach and ocean!! 💜 💜
Hi Brian, thx for the great videos u made for the review on The Grand at the Moon Palace. Those videos definitely help me make decisions on goin there. Have u been back recently (after the pandemic)? I’m just wondering if anything has changed and if everything is still inclusive with the stay. I was planning on goin around September 2022 and was curious if everything is still the same based from all your review videos. Also, how does the resort credits work when you’re staying there? Is it based on how long u stay there? Anyways, continue to make great videos and maybe we’ll cross path one day at the Moon Palace Grand.
Are you going this year? I am going with my extended family this year (12/11 - 18) and we were going to make a bet to see who could spot you! Just watched all your videos to get pumped up! We went in feb 2020 for a phish concert and loved the resort. For this family trip we booked through a member and got an amazing deal with even better perks for our stay (black vip wristbands). You may want to discuss that on your next video! We almost didn't go cause of the price and saved $1k a room and got the extra benefits by booking through a member after we learned about the process.
Love all your reviews we have been going to Cancun twice in the last 3 years, went on a day trip to Moon Palace Sunrise prior to the Grand being open, then went last year for another Day trip and purchased a membership. We were going in April and Covid-19 changed that, so we have rebooked for Nov. 27th to Dec 5th 2020, keep watching the videos to prepare ourselves. Question, when you went to Beach Palace did you rent a Taxi or did the resort have a shuttle?
Question about the beds please - We will have 2 teenagers in our room who are adult size and don't like to sleep in the same bed - are the roll-away cots comfortable for adults? Would it be better to get a room with 2 double beds and 1 cot or 1 king and 2 cots? If the cots are comfortable then I heard there's more space in the room with the 1 king and 2 cots configuration.
I never slept in the cots but room wise I’d do 1 king and 2 cots. There’s lots of room for either config. Depends if you want to sleep I a double or king. For me it’s a no brisner🤣
I’m thinking of booking for March 2021 as well, these videos have sold me. It seems perfect for the family and I like that he mentions how clean they were before COVID, I can only assume they will be even more now. Can’t wait, enjoy and God bless! Stay safe
Hi Brian! Loved the video .. I’m going next month with my kids , I’m wondering if we can take our own inflatable floats for the pool or if they sell some there at the resort? Thanks in advance !
You must really like this resort to come for the third time, I think its not very exciting to repeat the same experience over and over, I mean it’s the perfect place to go to if you have kids. I hope you enjoyed your time and had a great vacation 🙂
Yes really like it. As I mentioned in part 1 , I’ve been to over 20 all inclusive resorts in Mexico most of them in the Riviera Maya/Playacar area and this one checks all the boxes for me. I thought about trying something different this year but 1. I’m too scared I’ll be disappointed with another resort after being so spoiled and 2. Every year I have new friends that say they want it go so we go with them.
I heard that! I’ve been in the moon palace (sunrise) it was great, my husband think of repeating the same experience but I think this time we need to upgrade and hope we’ll get the chance to go to the Grand.
I go to the same two hotels in the same country 2-3 times a year. I know the place, I know the country and I know the staff at the hotels well and always get rental cars from the same place and I never have any problems. I do plan to do some sort of bucket list world tour one day but until then I am keeping my vacations the way they are.
This is an amazing review and detailed vlog! Nicely done! We are thinking of booking during the black friday sale. Has anyone booked getting the free second room? Wondering if they will book you connecting rooms for families.
Great video... we think to go in July 2020 I ben watching your video like 5 times already lol thank you ! I have a question how’s the beach area ? Is a Laguna? Thank you
Beach was fine. The sand was nice, very little seaweed at the time we were there. Water is not very clear due to the current that churns it up. If you like to sit but the beach and chill or have kids play in the sand, perfect. If you're looking for blear blue water, it is not. As you saw in the video, we did check out Beach Palace, it was way busier, but the water is clear. I actually prefer the sand at the Grand, the sand at Beach Palace is that super fine powdery white sand, it gets everywhere. Hope this helps.
We are debating whether to go or not as it is so expensive and it will be our 2nd big holiday in a long time and we don’t want to be disappointed. It looks fantastic to me we just really need an opinion from a person who has actually been there. We also want to know what airport you get off at? And do you think it’s worth it? For me it checks all the boxes but my dad is the one paying for the holiday ;) our hearts are really set on this hotel and we are really close to going! We just need a few more reviews.
If you watched Part 1 and 2, you'll know that this is our third time in 3 years to this resort. I don't know how you can be disappointed but the decision is ultimately up to you. I've shared as much information as I can. Good luck and please come back and share your experience regardless of which resort you choose. Thanks
It all depends. They all have their advantages. Ie. close to the lobby, close to pool, close to games room etc. I don’t think there is such thing as a bad room or building.
Wait you have to pay for the beach palace? I thought booking at the grand gave you access to everything in the sister hotels.....such a pretty beach :(
@@EverydayReviews2022 ah okay than......So the hotel offers paid means of travel? And was it $10 per person for round trip transportation or each way? Thanks for answering!
I don’t know the exact particulars with the membership but a lot of people do own memberships. I’ve heard it’s good if you visit there often. I only get a vacation once a year so probably not suited for me.
Great review ! you look familiar and found out that you also review cars 🚗 We booked for March break 2020 and looking forward to the trip, Did you have to pay for the water floats and one of the UA-camr said the best is to buy your own. Maybe you can advise what would be the best ?
We brought our own floats. You can buy them there as well but can be more expensive than buying them back home. Depends if you have the room in you luggage. Have fun and let me know what you think when you get back!
Everyday Reviews thank you, for sure will let you know after the trip as we are from Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 I won a trip to Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya from Acura Canada back in 2019 as I achieved all my targets for working at the Acura Dealership. My wife & I really liked it and this year we decided to take our son to Cancun Mexico.
It’s too busy and you, have a group of thousands of partiers. Imagine a large family of let’s say 30 people hanging out together, they can be loud, now imagine 2000 people from the same family.
Yes. We got very spoiled by visiting The Grand first but it's runner up with great amenities opposed to my Jamaica trip. So good we are visiting again in May!

All restaurants included.
We took the resort shuttle. It’s $10/person and you have to book 24hrs in advance. Thanks for the comment.
@@EverydayReviews2022 Thanks for the reply!
Omg it's Tuesday today and I'm leaving on Friday 😫 I just want to go now!!
You’re so lucky. So jelly now😊
Great Video! I can’t wait to go!
Mya Saunders Make sure you watch part 1 and 2 of you haven’t already. They’re a a lot more detail in those ones. Thanks for the comment👍
When did you guys film this? I am there now!
Do you have to pay extra to play bowling? If so, how much per person?
Just booked because of your videos! March 2021! The best review I’ve seen of this resort. Thanks!
Thanks. We’re booked for December
Everyday Reviews to bad we are missing you by a few months..
I’m thinking of booking for March 2021 as well, these videos have sold me. It seems perfect for the family and I like that he mentions how clean they were before COVID, I can only assume they will be even more now. Can’t wait, enjoy and God bless! Stay safe
Are the games, bowling, and other fun activities free....or are there some exceptions?
And the AWE SPA is the best experience everyone should have! I’ve been amazed by my journey there and the staff was so friendly 🙂
@@varietylife1506 I don';t think you can go wrong and most times that I've searched, the difference is not as much as you think.
How did you guys get to the beach? And what is it called?
Very Good Information Thank You !!!
Looks and sounds like his stay was sponsored this time (I don't know if he disclosed that or not in the video as I didn't watch the whole thing).
How did you get the resort credit ?
This is an amazing review and detailed vlog! Nicely done! We are thinking of booking during the black friday sale. Has anyone booked getting the free second room? Wondering if they will book you connecting rooms for families.
Thanks. Check out Part 1 and 2 for more info on the resort.
Did you drop kids to kids center/care. Did they like staying there?
We did for a couple of hours at a time. They were fine for that long but not much more.
Are the buffets still open or is dining different because of covid?
Buffets are open except you have to wear a mask when you go up to get food. I heard they were actually serving you now as well.
@@EverydayReviews2022 Sounds good we will be there April 2021!
Have fun! We hope to get there next year again. Had to cancel for this Dec.
How do l book for vacation at the grand moon palace.its so expensive .l am trying to book after watching your video.two adult two kids
I just book direct from the Palace Resorts website.
Thanks
Hi there-we have kids aged 12 and 9 and wondering which building would you recommended requesting for our room?
It all depends. They all have their advantages. Ie. close to the lobby, close to pool, close to games room etc. I don’t think there is such thing as a bad room or building.
I LOVE MEXICO CANCUN 🇲🇽
The hotel is perfect
Wait you have to pay for the beach palace? I thought booking at the grand gave you access to everything in the sister hotels.....such a pretty beach :(
You only have to pay for the bus ride to get there. You coins also take a cab or get there anyway you wanted. Once there you don’t pay for anything.
@@EverydayReviews2022 ah okay than......So the hotel offers paid means of travel? And was it $10 per person for round trip transportation or each way? Thanks for answering!
Whats included in all inclusive? Or should I ask what's not included please?
Was it an extra fee for the roll away beds? If so, how much? Thanks. Great info!
No fee. Free!
@@EverydayReviews2022 thanks!!
Great review as always! May I ask what your thoughts are on the membership that they have? Do you think it's worth it?
I don’t know the exact particulars with the membership but a lot of people do own memberships. I’ve heard it’s good if you visit there often. I only get a vacation once a year so probably not suited for me.
Very helpful video! Shoutout from Vancouver:)
Yo Vancouver!!!
Did you watch part 1&2? A lot more info there as well.
Thanks for the video 👍😁😁😁
Great review ! you look familiar and found out that you also review cars 🚗
We booked for March break 2020 and looking forward to the trip, Did you have to pay for the water floats and one of the UA-camr said the best is to buy your own.
Maybe you can advise what would be the best ?
Like it so much of your videos so I actually watched the part 1 & 2 a few times LoL 😆 as they are not too long but with a lot of good info.
We brought our own floats. You can buy them there as well but can be more expensive than buying them back home. Depends if you have the room in you luggage. Have fun and let me know what you think when you get back!
Thanh Tran What are you looking forward to the most? We just got back but are already looking forward to going back. So good.
Good for you! I’m sure you will all love it! I just featured an NSX not too long ago. What a car. I also have an Acura TL
Are you going to moon palace in 2021
Hoping to in Dec.
@@EverydayReviews2022 im going in 2 weeks for spring break with my family
Why did you say to pass on staying there during the same time as the company?
It’s too busy and you, have a group of thousands of partiers. Imagine a large family of let’s say 30 people hanging out together, they can be loud, now imagine 2000 people from the same family.
This is a wonderful video
Do you know how much it would be for palace elite?
No I don't. Pricing fluctuates depending on how far out you're booking, time of year etc.
I know that you don’t have teenagers but do you think there are options for children from 13 to 17 to have fun
I think they’ll have a blast. Don’t forget they have bikes as well. Teens love biking around the property.
I also reccomond a hotel named the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos
Awesome. Have you been to both then? Will take a look for sure.
Yes. We got very spoiled by visiting The Grand first but it's runner up with great amenities opposed to my Jamaica trip. So good we are visiting again in May!
Can't believe you didn't review the new Indian restaurant there
Next time. Need to save some stuff for Part #4😁
