My husband and I have been here probably 10 times... we absolutely love this place! We feel like we are home when here and have gotten to know a lot of the kids who work here. They are the real reason we keep going back!! Just an awesome place.......... and if you haven’t experienced the spa....... you must!!
Probably one of the most informative and useful videos reviewing a hotel resort I've ever seen. Including your family and everything just made everything so much more real. I've now watched number one, number two and number three videos of the Moon Palace Resorts and wow I am so old. I usually booked way up in the hotel Zone at a Riu property such as Riu Palace Peninsula, I've booked their three times so that tells me that it is a favorite of mine. Knowing that you've been to Moon Palace three times tells me I should check it out!
Thanks! I stayed at the RIu in town as well quite a few years ago. Really didn’t like how the hotel itself created a massive shadow over the pool after 2 PM.
This was an amazing review. We booked at The Grand and will be there in a couple of weeks! Thank you so much for putting the room information up. Rooms are so important to us. We have 2 little ones and had no idea! The water park information was so helpful and so was the game and bowling. All on our list!! Everything looks amazing and we can't wait to go!!
I was happy to see your review of the beaches and water park update. Last years beach experience was, well, full of seaweed and trucks hauling (and falling over) seaweed non- stop. Looks like we'll be spending more time on the beach this year...thanks to your review! April can't get here fast enough!!
Lol I'm with ya. This is our favorite place to go to. Been going to moonpalace for 20 years now. They just keep adding and updating the place to be above and beyond enter than the rest.
Thanks for sharing. Your reviews are spot on. We came here on our honeymoon five years ago and have been back every year since with the family. It is truly amazing!! Next year we are bringing a large group out to celebrate with us.
The review perfectly captured what we like about the Grand at Moon Palace. We have been to the Grand twice with our adult children and four grandchildren. activities for the young ones are great. The only problem is getting the children to leave the play area to eat meals. The food is fabulous. In addition to the restaurants featured in the two Everyday Reviews videos be sure and try La Trattoria and La Palapa, two fine restaurants at the golf course, and the Brazilian steakhouse Arrecifes at Nizuc. Too many good restaurants to go to in one stay.

Another great video on a fantastic Hotel. We went here November/December 2017 and loved it. We loved it so much we're going back for our Honeymoon in May 2019! Cannot wait!
your video contain it just so PERFECT !! very helpful. Thank you for sharing part 1 and 2 :), as you mentioned will try booking from direct hotel website.
I’ve seen a few videos on this Resort & had a co-worker go last year. The hotel looks awesome, but the beach is probably a deal breaker for me. When I think of Cancun, it’s me looking out at the clear blue waters drinking a beer. Great video!
I saw your first review and booked our family to go in February. We're even more excited after your second review. Thank you for putting forth the effort to provide us with such fantastic information. We are truly grateful that you have done these videos for us. A question concerning water purity on the resort: what was your experience regarding faucet water in the room for brushing teeth or a quick night time drink of water?
No need to drink it from the faucet. Lots of bottled water in the room. We used it to brush teeth with no issue. Bottled water is used throughout the resort just in case. Whenever you ask for water anywhere, you’re given bottled water. Definitely not an issue.
My family and I just returned from mayakoba Riviera maya. Very beautiful resort. I would love to try moon palace. The food itself looks amazing ! Only wish the problem with the seaweed was better! Thanks for your video
Not sure if anyone watched the video. I showed the ground and the sand on purpose. There was no such seaweed on the beach, at least the time when we were there. I walked and swam in the water and felt no seaweed there either. Not sure when the people complaint about the seaweed went there.
How was the Grand before they did renos a couple of years ago? Have you stayed at Sunrise and Nizuk? If so, how do the rooms compare to The Grand? Thanks

you and I both. Being going since 2005, every xmas and New Years. We must know half the staff there and I couldn't pick who is the nicest to be honest. Amazing service.
Hello. Awesome reviews, part 1 and 2! They’re so informative and helpful when trying to decide which resort to chose. Have you ever stayed at the Dreams in Cancun?
Hi there - wanted to chime in as I’ve been to Dreams but in Los Cabos. In Cancun I’ve stayed at Secrets the Vine which is adults only but a sister-resort. I definitely recommend AMResorts I think Secrets is more upscale and then Dreams then it goes down from there. But food is good, it’s truly all-inclusive and service is just excellent - they addressed me and my husband by name. If you’re just traveling with adults, I recommend Secrets. Dreams (in Los Cabos) was kid friendly but I didn’t see many kids there nor was there anything special for kids to do such as what is shown here at the Grand. Hope that is sorta helpful.
What is the difference between the different color wrist bands? I was told that they give better treatment to the ones who have the black band is this true?
I thought this too as we had different color than others were travelling with. Apparently it’s just who you booked with. We noticed no difference of service at all. There might be a difference if you’re part of their program and your a diamond member or whatever they call it.
I just went here and it was absolutely incredible. I’m so sad to be back home, but definitely coming back! While we were there, the beaches were FULL of seaweed, so the tractors were constantly on it. It made the beaches almost unusable, which was disappointing, but there was so much else to do! The water park I felt was a bit extreme as the main sides had height and weight requirements. For the regular tube slides, the minimum weight requirement was around 300 lbs, which is a bit strange! Personally, I’m not a big fan of drops, so I chickened out on the slides. I wish there were more slides for chickens like me😂 The service and employees were amazing and caring. While not always prompt to help like with room issues, they were very kind and helpful. These are the only issues I found but none of them were very significant! There are so many great pros to this place that I can’t list them all here. Overall, everything was just amazing and I highly recommend going there👍
For the tube slides, you also HAVE to of in pairs. You cannot go solo. Didn't;t know about the min weight although I don't think we'd have a problem to see it with 2 people :)
Hi, from the UK. The restaurants mentioned in the video do you have to make a reservation? Did you tip the staff? I was unsure how the tipping works as I’ve never had to do it :)
There's only a couple of restaurants that need reservations. JC Steakhouse and Le Chateau. Keep in mind that Le Chateau is adults only. All the rest is first come - first served. If it's busy, they give you one of those buzzers that alert you when your table is ready. It's not a big deal though as you can go have snacks at the wine bar or have a drink in the lounge. As for tipping, it in entirely up to you. We may have left a couple of dollars per meal depending on what kind of restaurant it was. Of course, it is accepted and appreciated but don't feel like you have to. Hope this helps!
The Grand is not as nice, I have stayed at the Nizuk, the Moon palace, and the Grand. We payed extra to go to the grand but when we got there were not satisfied so my parents had us switch over to the Moon palace which is way closer to everything and has much better views.
The Moon Palace is huge. Can you access a!l the Hotels if you are staying at the Moon Palace or are they all separate prices and Hotels. How is the water for drinking and brushing and did you get any Tummy problems. Are there plenty of washrooms available.
I just left Moon Palace on Dec 17th 2019, they had construction on the beach as well! it is for a huge company that comes down every year for 5 days and they do a crazy show! and need 1,000 rooms for this company each year.
@@peterhoward1002 No, this is just for the company. Deadheads are in addition. Their name is even on everything. I watched them transform the outside of ballrooms, entrances, everything everywhere last year as well as this year. This is confirmed with their PR department I talked to.
Thx for both parts 1&2 - great reviews! Has anyone stayed at Sunrise and The Grand sides? I’m looking at these reviews as my situation is unique. My daughters are almost 4yo and 17! So trying to find a place to please everyone. I booked Moon Palace Family Suite (Sunrise) kinda by mistake thinking I was booking The Grand 🤦🏻♀️ I’m wondering if it’s worth the hassle to call the hotel to try and switch over to the Grand side. I see they also have family suites on Grand side (because of the bed sizes and ages and being annoyed with one another/needing our own space at the end of a long day) and right now looks like the cost is the same so I’m annoyed at my oversight! I’ve pretty much much gone cross-eyed at all the research on resorts. We really wanted to be in hotel zone so the teenager could do some ocean stuff (snorkeling jetskiing) but the little one will want to be entertained every waking moment of the day 😳. “Have kids they said - it’ll be great they said” lol help!
Ok thanks so much for your reply! Because we booked with airfare for a deal, I had to submit my request for a switch from Sunrise to Grand in writing. Hopefully it doesn’t up the cost too much but fingers crossed they can make the change 🤞🏼
Hey there! Funny you should ask 😆 So “ReservHotel” out of Miami is their booking agent and that’s who I was dealing with to try to switch over to Grand. It was just too expensive to make the switch and Sunrise seemed nice enough. The agent felt we would be happy enough at Sunrise. I of course was hesitant but hubby didn’t want to spend over $1000 for an upgrade - can’t blame him. We arrive at Sunrise and the rooms were dank, smaller than anticipated, musty, headboards were peeling, bird poop all over the tiny patios and hammocks and there were bugs on the floor inside and in the tubs! 😳 of course we were displeased and asked for a room switch. After much back and forth they said we could switch over to the Grand in about 5 hours. Then they called us back and said Oh yeah that will cost $1,200! A guest relations lady came to room to confirm we were not lying and still offered no room change except the $1200 switch. I asked if Reserv could do anything since I’d been trying to book with Grand since beginning. They called Reserv. In Spanish the lady was telling her what a liar I was and how I was trying to get a free room at the nice resort - she didn’t know I understand Spanish. So yeah it got heated. Meanwhile my kids are waiting in the room and vacay time is wasting away but we finally got out stuff, our kids, yanked off wristbands and left. We went to AMResorts Dreams (we’ve stayed with AMR before at Secrets in Cancun & Punta Cana and Dreams in Cabo) - their van picked us right up and off we went. We got connecting plunge pool rooms for $2700 cheaper. What a nightmare. Had to file a visa dispute as on day 5, Moon Palace sent an email thanking us for our stay as if we were there the whole time 🤦🏻♀️
I don't believe there is a guideline. There isn't any wording for it on the menus. I have seen people tip and I have seen people not tip. It is entirely up to you. We tipped most places and was dependent on the service provided. Most services are very good. Take some smaller bills with you. We didn't even convert it to the peso, we just tipped USD.
Hi, thanks for the video. I'm going with my family and friends in May and we are about 40 people in total. I saw in your video you had a private terrace dinner with your family and friends of 12. How did you go about booking this and did you have to pay extra for this service? Thanks
Great review! Thank you!!! You mentioned in the first review that your daughter has a bit allergy. Is that a peanut allergy? We are going in December and my son has a peanut allergy and I’m concerned about the buffets, food by the pool, desserts etc. Did you have any issues with those areas?
Yes she has a peanut allergy. Had no problems anywhere. Just make sure you let the servers or chefs know. Also make sure that the ice cream has no nuts.
I was there last year as well, what a great resort! Just wondering if their French fries and Cesar salad have improved? Those were the only two things I was disappointed in.
Where did you have the Caesar? I thought he one at Tavola was pretty good. I find all the fries in the whole Mayan/Cancun area are very similar. I think they have different type of potatoes
Great review!! I saw you on the same flight to Cancun and on the same flight back from Cancun. Air Canada dropped the ball with the delay and malfunctioning entertainment systems. Different hotels though.
Everyday Reviews We stayed at PARADISUS PLAYA DEL CARMEN LA ESMERALDA. I’m in the same mindset when traveling with the family. I don’t like staying at the same resort twice but this hotel changed my opinion. I would definitely go back.
2B1 I’ve looked into that one and heard really good things. Have you been to the Grand? I’d like to compare those two. The one thing that steers me toward the Grand though is the fact that it’s literally 10 min door to door from the airport which is a big deal when travelling with little ones. Last time I was in Playa, I remember it being about an hour away.
Thanks Brian!!! I made a reservation at Moon Palace Nizuc but after your reviews I upgraded it to The Grand. We are very excited!!! In august we'll be there. Only one question, did you have time to go to Xcaret, Xel-Ha or Chichen Itza? Are they worthy to go with kids?
I have been to Xelha and Xcaret before we had kids. How old are your kids? I think we had more fun at Xelha. Xcaret has more culture, kids might not be as interested. Xel ha is more like a big water/adventure park. Have fun! It’s gonna be hot when you gon.
@@EverydayReviews2022 My kids are 14 and 5. But we are up for Xcaret too because they have now a Kids World really fun. And as my mother in law loves Mexico, I think the Mexico Spectacular show is a must. Thanks!!!
If we stay at beach palace, can we eat at the restaurants in moon palace? Or is it only that if you stay at moon palace, you can eat at the other palaces
You mentioned the golf course and that you should try it out. If you have the chance than I recommend it. I am not the best golfer but I went with my step dad who is actually good at golfing and it was a blast. Saw some cool animals as well.
Great videos (pt1 and pt2). I've been hearing more and more about the drug gangs showing up in the Cancun resorts. When you were there did you feel at any time the situation as being un-safe? Did you and your family do any activities outside of the resort? If you did, did you feel safe?
Really? Never heard of gangs in the resort. Not sure why they would ever show up in a resort, not really their thing. We’ve been on excursions to parks, centres, ruins and Cozumel in the past. With the 2 little ones, no sense leaving the resort as they wouldn’t even interested in any of this at their age. I’ve never felt unsafe in Mexico but just like anywhere, you have to use your street smarts. No different than being in any other city in the world. Bad things happen everywhere and in every backyard. Sometimes people let their guard down just because they’re on vacation.
Private dinners and group things have to be booked and arranged through their public relations department. They have many on staff there to help you with any special requests.
Trying to decide between the moon palace vs the grand I have a 4 year old and 1 years old. About a 500$ difference. Any help ?! Where was the pony rides and princess spa at? That’s probably the deciding factor
Can u advise what is the best time to book for the xmas experience since u mentioned that dec 18-24 usually have the corporate event and better to avoid that date? Do u always buy the hotel from the web directly for all 3 trips and buy the flight separately?
Between the last week of Nov and till about Dec 19 is what I recommend. I’ve booked direct with the website for the last 2 years and the same for this upcoming trip as well. First year is the only year I booked from a third party site.
Please visit the new Grand at Moon Palace in Jamaica when it open in 2020. There is a lot off buzz on this future property because it's in Ocho Rios City!!! Jamaica's most sophisticated, opulent, desirable, dreamy, romantic, adventurous and livable platinum playground for the global elite traveler.
Not closed at all. Perhaps just full. They might not be booking to full capacity since they have restrictions due to Covid. As those are lifted, more rooms may become available of if people cancel. Unfortunately I may be cancelling for Dec booking due to 14 day quarantine and essential travel only advisory for Canada 🇨🇦 as of today. Luckily I booked flex rate meaning I paid nothing for the booking and have up until 4 days prior to the trip to cancel. I think it’s essential especially during these uncertain times with flights being cancelled, govt restrictions etc.
Hi ER, My teenage son thinks that JC Steakhouse is adults only restaurant, I told him that it's open to kids as well. Can you please verify this? Also, I would like to try the tomahawk steak, (extra charge, I'm ok with that), am I able to take it to go if I can't finish it? With other resorts like Barcelo, you can't out take it out. Thanks
Not sure about the take out. I don't see why you couldn't though. JC Steakhouse is not adults only. The only restaurant at the Grand that is adults only is Le Chateau (French Restaurant)
We paid about $369 USD per night booked directly through the resort. It all depends what time of year you go as well. I found the beginning of December perfect as it’s not as expensive as Christmas til April.
If I remember correctly, you can't use resort credit for the driving range or club rental, which makes it really expensive if you're not already playing a round.
You are correct. Club rentals are around $50. Best to bring your own if you want to do more than a round of golf. I was willing to rent for one time but in the end. Had no one to golf with. Next time
Just FYI the waterpark is only 2 adult slides (six of the blue which are all the same track) a yellow and green which mirror each other (same slide) and you MUST be five foot 3 inches to ride those. Many adults and most kids turned away from those. Do not book here for the family if going primarily for the waterpark. ALSO if staying at the Sunrise or NIzuc resorts, I STRONGLY RECOMEND NOT ATTENDING THE MEMBERSHIP pitch. 90 minutes turns into 2.5 hours of a hard sell for the privilege of getting better rates and access to cabana beds. The value is completely lost attending the Grand go to the other resorts and be happy there!
Brian, you look familiar. Aren't you on Driving Television with Zach Spencer, hence all the car reviews? Anyways, I love both of your videos on The Grand at Moon Palace. You sold me on The Grand at Moon Palace, will be booking it for my family vacation this year. Keep up the great work!
Colin Phung Yes I work on DTV. Good eye! Thanks for the nice words. I try and do my best for these types of reviews without being to intrusive. Priority is still to vacation before doing a review. Glad I could help. Cheers!
IMO, Cusco Peruvian Restaurant was the best. Italian was really good and solid mexican food throghout the resort. Steak house was very disappointing tho. Momo was just meh. We would love to go back to the Grand. Also, check out Costco Canada Travel web site for booking. It was cheaper than anywhere else when we booked.
I tried Costco travel throughout the year but they were either way more expensive or had no available for the month of December. We paid $2600 for 10 days. Hoping to get the same deal for next year.
Just wanted to add in case you didn’t know that Costco is excellent for car rentals in my experience. You can book, check back frequently and if the price goes down, just rebook and cancel the previous one.
@@EverydayReviews2022 Is that $2600 per person or for your family of 4? Also, who did you book it with? I checked with Sunwing, WestJet, Travelocity and Costco. Costco has the best price so far (around $6000 for 2 adults and 2 kids in August) Thank you for your time
@@cphu72 he mentioned it was for his family of 4 not including air, booked directly with the resort. I've checked resort web and the cheapest i found was $400 per night. You may qant to check kijiji for people selling their timeshare. you get vip bracelet if you book as their guest. I paid about $5200 cad for 1 week out of yyz for July last year. we somehow got upgraded to the presidential 1 bedroom suite. we also got free admission to wild water because their water slide wasn't built. It was nice free boat ride. I hope this helps. Enjoy.
Everyday Reviews we haven’t been the grand. We just came back from excellence. I spoken to people been to the grand, it’s different. If u want a lot activity and things to do grand is great. If u want a relaxed vacation with great service and food and drink, excellence is a great choice :)
Awesome, thanks. They days of pure relaxing vacations are a thing of the past for me (at least for the next 10 years or so) one common remark fro the group we travelled with who also had small kids was that everyone enjoyed their time. Lots to keep entertained for kids and parents. Love the look of the Excellence. Looks super chill😎
My last Cancun visits were back nearly 20 years ago in my bachelor days so I'm sure my vacation recollections differ greatly than Brian's. What's the old saying, "What happens in Cancun....🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫
When you activate your resort credits they try and get you to a presentation. I said I wasn’t interested and that was it. Never heard about it again for the testing the trip. I wouldn’t call it a trap or a scam because a lot of people I know actually have and use timeshares. It’s just not for us at this time.
Timeshares are a scam. And this place is a trap for that scam. Why go through this trouble when there are plenty of other places in cancun and riviera Maya u can go.
I think every Mexican resort I’ve been to has tried to get me into a presentation. That does however not make them a scam. I have 3 personal friends that own some pretty costly time shares and have more many of year and they actually use them. If you guy you and don’t use it, then that’s your fault and you light portray that as a scam. Heavy sales tactics at every resort, absolutely. My advice is unless you are actually interested, don’t say yes or express any interest whatsoever just because you get something for free. If you’re in the market and can afford one then go for it. Personally I can’t afford it and don’t want to take any of my vacation time with a presentation. Why do you say it’s a timeshare trap, did they accost you and force you to go through a presentation? Like I said, both times I’ve been there was an introduction, I said no thanks, and that was absolutely it for the entire time.
I do see they have done a lot of upgrades at the Grand not sure about the Sunrise. The first couple of times were Great, then the next few years it went down hill. My last trip was in 2010. I do have to say my sister and her group/family of 10 sometimes more still go. I haven't ask her what she thinks?
Hey EVERYONE! I just got back and PART #3 is now LIVE! Make sure to watch after you've watched Part 1 & 2.

THIS IS AWESOME! Thanks for the part 2. Part 1 was awesome too! Thanks! Leaving in 2 days!
We were just there in October 2018. This review is on point. Check out the Peruvian restaurant. Amazing!

I've stayed there and am going back in July! My family loves it there
Are there shuttles available to go around the resort/s? My parents are older, and have trouble walking. Thank you!!!

We were just there. December 13-20 best trip yet. We loved the grand and the amazing ness we experienced
You were there the same time we were. We left on Dec 19.

Hello. Awesome reviews, part 1 and 2! They’re so informative and helpful when trying to decide which resort to chose. Have you ever stayed at the Dreams in Cancun?
No have not stayed at the Dreams, have you?
Unfortunately not. I was hoping that you had so I could ask questions! ☺️
What hotel credit means? I bought all inclusive package. Does the credit included or I have to buy in their front desk?
They don’t have it anymore apparently unless you are a member which you need to buy a membership
Hi this is the person that you met at the beach palace today. I took a pic with you. I am from the uk remember. I can’t wait for part 3 😃
Thanks! What’s your name again? I want to give you and your family a shout out on the next video!
My name is koby
@@kobygames6880 Part 3 is out now Koby!
Awesome review. Were all the activities that you mentioned including horseback riding inclusive?
nevaahata the Spa, pony rides and bowling have resort credit charges. For one week you get $1500 and you 16% tax. The pony rides were about $10.
Have you reviewed the other resort you stayed at? You do a great job, very informative.
I did a part 1 on this one as well. Not sure if you had a chance to check that one out.
IM GOING AND I CANT WAITTTT
I just went here and it was absolutely incredible. I’m so sad to be back home, but definitely coming back!
While we were there, the beaches were FULL of seaweed, so the tractors were constantly on it. It made the beaches almost unusable, which was disappointing, but there was so much else to do!
The water park I felt was a bit extreme as the main sides had height and weight requirements. For the regular tube slides, the minimum weight requirement was around 300 lbs, which is a bit strange! Personally, I’m not a big fan of drops, so I chickened out on the slides. I wish there were more slides for chickens like me😂
The service and employees were amazing and caring.
I have stayed at moon 4 times and am looking forward to staying at grand next month
How is the water for drinking and brushing and did you get any
Tummy problems. Are there plenty of washrooms available.
I just left Moon Palace on Dec 17th 2019, they had construction on the beach as well! it is for a huge company that comes down every year for 5 days and they do a crazy show! and need 1,000 rooms for this company each year.
I just left Dec 16. Yes the Power group books every year. I’m talking about this on my next review.
Not a company- Deadheads! Building the stage for the concerts! Hopefully the construction did not negatively impact your trip.
On second thought, likely companies do stay. In mid January are the Dead & Co shows that the stage construction is for. 7k people
@@peterhoward1002 No, this is just for the company. Deadheads are in addition. Their name is even on everything. I watched them transform the outside of ballrooms, entrances, everything everywhere last year as well as this year. This is confirmed with their PR department I talked to.
Hey Brian, great reviews on the Grand. Was wondering if you have any advice on how to search for deals/sales on this resort?
I just search on their own website. I normally buy airfare and resort separately.
I’ve been there. It’s so fun and cool
Is the beach nice because i heard it was bad
Sunrise and The Grand are totally different. If the costs are negligible, I'd choose The Grand in a heartbeat.
Ok thanks so much for your reply! Because we booked with airfare for a deal, I had to submit my request for a switch from Sunrise to Grand in writing. Hopefully it doesn’t up the cost too much but fingers crossed they can make the change 🤞🏼
Any update?
Had to file a visa dispute as on day 5, Moon Palace sent an email thanking us for our stay as if we were there the whole time 🤦🏻♀️
Just wondering do you have to pay for the pony rides? Also, is the spa expensive?
Questions regarding gratuity of services.
Is there a guideline when you eat, drink or receive services?
amandamc1234 any answers yet?
I don't believe there is a guideline. There isn't any wording for it on the menus. I have seen people tip and I have seen people not tip. It is entirely up to you. We tipped most places and was dependent on the service provided. Most services are very good. Take some smaller bills with you. We didn't even convert it to the peso, we just tipped USD.
When did you visit? I was wondering how early they have Xmas decorations since I am planning on going end of November. Thanks
I arrived on Dec 10. Not sure when it goes up but most likely beginning of Dec.
Everyday Reviews thanks, amazing review btw!
The pool party area on Thursdays is this adult only area or are there kids allowed.
Only adults.
Hi, thanks for the video. I'm going with my family and friends in May and we are about 40 people in total. I saw in your video you had a private terrace dinner with your family and friends of 12. How did you go about booking this and did you have to pay extra for this service? Thanks
For any private group functions, talk to their Public Relations department. 40 people? Sounds like a party!
Yeah definitely a party. Thanks 😉
Yes you are correct. For the flight, they should have given everyone free wifi in my opinion. What hotel did you stay at?
Everyday Reviews
We stayed at PARADISUS PLAYA DEL CARMEN LA ESMERALDA.
Thanks!!!
Is May a good time of year to go as far as weather? We want warm weather!!
Always warm there. Depends how warm you want. We go in December and its usually about mid 80's or around 28-30 degrees
Thank you for replying. I loved your videos! Very informative
If we stay at beach palace, can we eat at the restaurants in moon palace? Or is it only that if you stay at moon palace, you can eat at the other palaces
I'm not sure about that question Ted. Your best answer would be from the resort just to be sure.
I go there every year since I was 5, it has to be my favorite hotel!!
How it's so expensive!
x.lyric.life.x cause we have a membership and they gift us a ton of free weeks
You mentioned the golf course and that you should try it out. If you have the chance than I recommend it. I am not the best golfer but I went with my step dad who is actually good at golfing and it was a blast. Saw some cool animals as well.
Jaden Reichelt I heard there’s crocs on the course. You see any?
Saw a bunch last week on the course
Can you provide details on the private rooftop dinner? Traveling with a big group of family and would love to do this.
Gonna be there next week!!! Ehat do you recomend doing???
All depends what you’re into. Eating, drinking, chilling, bowling.
@@EverydayReviews2022 everything, I just want to be a lazy bum, lol eating and drinking
Hi! We booked our vacation for next month. I was wondering how you were able to get into JC steak house if it is adults only?
It is not adults only. Only Le Chateau is adults only.
Because of this viedo, i m currently at airport to go to the grand moon, hopefully will have the same great experience as u had 😉
tried 3 restaurants tonight, personally opinion that hotel xcaret hotel food is better, hopefully will be better tmw
3 restaurants in one night. Wow. I thought we were hard core😜 Which ones you try? Habibi is awesome.
Me and my parents are heading out there in 4 days, hopefully they love our UK accent 😂
Good review. Buckle up, the Phish is coming Feb, 2020!!
See you there!
Are any of these facilities shown open to guests at just the regular moon palace?
Hmm. Never been to Jamaica so this could be a good reason to go 😎
Question er, is the grand hotel closed all december and january. Cant book. Is it rented out like u said by corp. Peoe
I liked your videos on the Grand, do they authentic mexican food restaurant or grill.
Hi ER,
My teenage son thinks that JC Steakhouse is adults only restaurant, I told him that it's open to kids as well.
I went there last year. This year I'm going to PUNTA Cana at grand memories splash resort. You should try it!
Let me know how Grand Memories is compared to the Grand. When are you going?
Great video. Can you provide some protocol on tipping? Thanks.
Hi, thanks for the great video. I also have 2 young children and from Canada. How much per night did you guys pay at the Grand? Thanks
We paid about $369 USD per night booked directly through the resort. It all depends what time of year you go as well. I found the beginning of December perfect as it’s not as expensive as Christmas til April.
Cant wait to go in December 😃😃😃
Might see you there!
going here for my third time in april, so excited!
I’d be excited as well. Going to see what kind of Boxing Day specials they have today.
Is there a driving range at the Golf Course? If so, can you use it without doing a round of Golf as well?
Yes there is a driving range. I'm sure you could use it without a round of golf. At least I'm assuming you can.
Next time
Thanks I’m going this week
How was the airport transfer? Was it a smooth ride/ process?
Part 3 done I've finished part 1 and now I'm finished part 2
Hope you got some good info from them😁
Just FYI the waterpark is only 2 adult slides (six of the blue which are all the same track) a yellow and green which mirror each other (same slide) and you MUST be five foot 3 inches to ride those.
I’m going there in 2 weeks! I’m sooo excited this is my 10th year going😂
Geeky question here. How fast is their wifi?
I don't know the exact bandwidth speed but had no problems streaming UA-cam and Netflix in HD.
Hi ER,
Are there lockers at the spa? Thanks
Colin Phung Yes electronic lockers at the spa and the kids playroom.
my daugther is getting married 2020 i want to know if Grand at Moon Palace is only 1 hotel or if is different one from Moon Palace
Cheers!
Is it just flowers you get if it's your anniversary?
I don’t know could be honeymoons etc. Could depend.
You can book, check back frequently and if the price goes down, just rebook and cancel the previous one.
c71chung . Thanks for the tip. It is cheaper than Westjet vacations and Sunwing
Enjoy.
Great review
You should try Excellence Playa Mujeres. Or Finest (with kids).
Will check it out. Have you been to the Grand? If so, how does it compare to Excellence?
I remember those days too, much different. This place isn’t on the hotel row though so quite a ways a way from all the craziness.
Those days were better it was much safer and it had less people..
Great vid, keep up the good work! :)
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it.
Do they bug ( by bug i mean pressure till it’s annoying) you about attending timeshare presentations? Every resort ive been to it never fails.
This place is a time share trap. It's much worse than any other resort chain in this regard. Plenty of other places to go in cancun and riviera maya.
Jay An have you stayed at this resort? Ive never been to a resort in mexico where they didnt pressure you to attend timeshare presentations.
How is the beach front for kids?
I do see they have done a lot of upgrades at the Grand not sure about the Sunrise. The first couple of times were Great, then the next few years it went down hill. My last trip was in 2010. I do have to say my sister and her group/family of 10 sometimes more still go. I haven't ask her what she thinks?
The New Grand and all the updates has only been done for the last couple of years. You should experience it now.
They’ve spent millions over the past few years. It’s nowhere the same as 2010. I thought you were talking recently.
