Thank you Scott once again for mentioning me. I just love all the watercolor pictures from your hand or to be more exact from your card. But also from your heart! Thank you!!
Hi Lena! I am so grateful for you introducing me to that style of watercolour! It has opened up doors for me in terms of exploring abstraction and non figurative landscape that is really emotive! Hope you are doing well! 👍🙏
Hi Lois! Yes pretty amazing! You would probably be able to paint those trees like that by hand but I don’t have the patience for that! I’ll have to see if I can paint trees like that again!! Really lovely! Thanks!! You are smashing it at the moment! Good work!! 👍👍
Love it Scott. I see a phantom fishing/life boat resting on the sea shore . I do this kind of work now and again when I feel brave. It is exciting but I must learn when to stop, less is more,
Thanks Jen! I really do love the way watercolour can create things I could not do myself! I'm glad you are finding the tutorials helpful! See you soon for the patreon video. Cheers Scott
Extraordinary! I've never seen a technique like it, terrifying and thrilling at the same time!. I normally paint with tiny miniaturist's brushes so this blew my tiny mind!
At one point it looked like trees reflexed in water, but then you turned it up the other way. This is nice but the other was spectacular. but art truly is in the eye of the beholder.
Hi Kristine! Yes I know what you mean! When I watch the videos back I see possibilities that I just did not see while I was painting! It is really interesting that sometimes I don't see things till later! So involved in the process! Thanks for watching! Cheers Scott
Thanks Shelina! I really like this painting too! It has been bought and I know the person who bought it really loves it which is just great. Cheers Scott
@@ScottSwinson there is a haziness that just lends itself to the medium that you show so well, your art is beautiful. The cleaning up is a bonus he he ;)
Wow Scott! At 6m24s I suddenly saw a canopy of green trees with reflections beneath and then it changed within seconds! So exciting to watch and I like the colour palette. Nice one ! Jill 🇬🇧
I love this technique. So exciting when the paint moves beautifully on the paper. Watercolour is such a wonderful medium. Thanks Scott, for another superb piece of work. 🤭🤭🤭
Hi Barbara! I did love this painting too! Really love the trees that I could never have painted by hand but just appeared! Amazing! Thanks for watching and happy painting. I do love the medium of watercolour! Cheers Scott
Hi Lia! Thanks! I’m really glad you enjoy my painting videos! Painting really regularly has been one of the best things for my painting! It’s a win win! 👍🙏
This is a spectacular painting. Thank you so much. I’m just starting to get into this style a bit but I can see where there’s no going back. Thank you.
Hi Jgesim! Thanks! This painting of the trees was a complete accident but now I have done it a few times and it is a pretty cool result! Thanks for the feedback! Cheers Scott
Wow , lovely method and surprisingly I do apply these in my work, and glad to see your amazing process and it is so soothing to look at the process itself , very therapeutic
This was awesome. I can’t wait to try it. I’m sure it takes some trial and error to achieve your results but what a fun journey! Thanks for sharing with us
Good luck! The secret for the trees is to spray with the spray bottle on jet to create all the splashes that then turn into branches when the pigment runs down that way.
That’s gorgeous! I am curious as to whether those beautiful, rich blobs of French Ultramarine will flake off when it dries. Did you wind up leaving those in? If so, how did they hold up?
LOVE LOVE .. I’ve been painting a bit like this with acrylics .. watered-down with medium and even using inks .. Love your methodology .. it really pays off There’s an American artist called Debra Lyn Rosenbauch .. I think you’ll like the way she uses PLENTY of water .. Thank you and keep the videos coming PLEASE ! Erica .. Perth, WA
Hi Erica! Really glad you like this painting! One of my favourites! Yes painting in acrylics like they are watercolours is something my mentor Tony Smibert does on a large scale. I am just not familiar with that medium to go there at the moment due to the amount of spare time I have. I will go there in all mediums at some stage I am sure! Thanks for the name of the artist she does paint with a lot of water and produces some beautiful marks on the page! I will keep the videos coming! Promise!
Hi!! Scott!! I absolutely love this and how it came together…… it really tells a story…. It was especially thrilling to hear you say “beautiful” … it is precisely what i was looking for in color and i do love your explanation of the composition!! THANK you so very much for the honor and thank you for the work you did in putting this together … love all of your art and it is always a learning experience… i agree with Lois’s statement too! :)
Hi Stone! You are welcome. I am always grateful for sending me down this path which I will continue to explore! I hope you liked it. The colour swatches you sent through match the colours used except for the Payne’s grey. We can email. 👍👍
@@ScottSwinson oh wow thank you… i watched this video several times and it was done on a much smaller scale… the only thing different was i used a stream of water as opposed to spray… since it was so small, i was afraid i would lose the dry areas with a spray… i was kinda amazed that it came out similar to yours, and now i am afraid i wont be able to do it again! i will try though!! thank you so much again!!
Hope you’re having a wonderful time with your family. Excited to see photos from your trip.
👍nice, good job
This gave me so much joy seeing this painting grow and I loved that was upside down. Beautiful
Wow! I don't know what I've just witnessed here, but I'm blown away! Its beautiful!!

Hi Scott!!!!..... Very pretty... Thanks for your picture.

Thanks 24starbuck! Yes it was just me thinking out loud! I'll remember that for future videos. Cheers Scott
Strangely I always prefer the painting before it' s "finished" when it' s even more abstract. However the end result is beautiful.
YES! Thank You
Crazy amazing you’re a mesmerising genius!
Absolutely beautiful, Scott! Watching you paint is like watching an adventure movie! Exciting and fun! Thanks!
Hi Heather! It is pretty exciting! I had no idea that is what was going to happen! Glad you enjoy watching! 🙏👍
Wow, what kind of sorcery is this?? Amazing!
Yes this was a bit of an accident that I really loved and now try and do on purpose but it has never come off like this painting!
I found if you lightly sand the edge of the card with an emery board you want get those scrapes from the plastic. Love the trees in this one!
Thanks for that! that is a great idea! those scrapes into the paper are not what I want sometimes!
Stunning
It is amazing~!!! I tried but failed. Your work is oriental painting and very beautiful!!!
Hi there! I am really impressed that you tried! Keep going! It is really great! Let me know if you have any questions. cheers Scott
