The #93 Pit+Paddock FL5 Civic Type R TCR came out of the gate firing, with Karl Wittmer recording a record-shattering TCR track record (1:27.103) in qualifying to give Montreal Motorsport Group (MMG) a P1 start, where the team later picked up points for the IMPC Championship as they finished the race in P5. Collecting its second pole position in consecutive contests, the team's confidence boost comes at the perfect time, as a turnaround for The Esses At Watkins Glen leaves Yoshihara and Wittmer with 2 weeks to prepare.
