- A special episode from Whoopi's final season, with two celebrities (one of which would become a decently-popular figure in the world of game shows himself) playing for charity. This is also the first taped episode (not the first aired, however) with the ill-fated Double or Nothing bonus round that didn't last past this season.
Celebrities are Anthony Stewart Head, Vivica A. Fox, Doris Roberts, Fred Willard, Andrea Martin, Martin Mull, Jeffrey Tambor, Gilbert Gottfried, and - as mentioned before - Whoopi Goldberg.

I don’t ever remember this episode during its original airing or in any reruns so this episode was a treat for me
The airdate was Nov. 22, 2001, Thanksgiving, so it was preempted in some markets because of football and/or other programming.

Wow that was for Todd Newton to win $12,000 for 2 charities. What that meant each of his charities that he played for had received $6,000.

@@graigmellon7874 What city you're in by the way? I'm from New Jersey (South Jersey) which is 18 miles close to Philadelphia. My CBS affiliate is KYW-TV in Philadelphia. KYW-3 has been the CBS network affiliate 25 years ago since September 10th, 1995. My station has been carrying Tom Bergeron's version of Hollywood Squares in the 7:30pm Eastern timeslot from September 14th, 1998 to June 4th, 2004, right after Entertainment Tonight at 7pm Eastern.
@@cameronyoshittv7146 I actually am from Greater Moncton getting those channels (WBZ-TV and KIRO-TV) via Bell FibreOp today, prior to that I used to have Rogers Cable and Fundy Cable prior to 2001, though WLBZ-TV (the NBC affiliate in Bangor Maine also carried this show too).

I don't think Squares has a celebrity edition, this is just a special charity edition.

Stacey is playing for United Way and Todd is playing for Babies from AIDS & the SPCA charity.
Those are great charities that they did play for.
