I listened him in Paris 2 days ago. He sang as soloist in Matthäus Passion directed by Sir J-E Gardiner. "Buss und Reu knirscht..... " sang by him, absolutely superbe. i wish I could listen to it again.
Lovely...lovely sound....Tempo a bit fast for my taste. The "B" section did not disappoint. There was more than enough fervor, and power for the vocal line"Der Hell das Judas ist mich macht etc....But over all for me it needed a bit more of the suffering, laborious, piteousness of the savior. A slower tempo would help with that. Lastly, I can't help but reflect upon life and times of my friend Melvin Earl Brown from Oakland, CA, who had a similar sound.
I've been watching several videos of RLM. Each time it's the same feeling of bliss.
Yay Reggie! I see myself sitting all silently in this video, marveling at you. =)

Great singer... But, where is the viola da gamba and the archilute?
Very fine singing! Where is this countertenor now?
