Just got a 5600XT at Micro Center June 15, 2021 for $400. Its available every now and again if you keep an eye open. With used 5600XT selling for as much as $700 these days, I nailed quite the deal for my diligence in checking retail sites several times daily.
GTX 1660 super - $240 AMD 2600 cpu - $120 RAM - G.SKILL 16GB (2 x 8GB) Ripjaws V Series DDR4 PC4-25600 3200MHz F4-3200C16D-16GVKB- $70 Motherboard - MSI TOMAHAWK -100 SSD - sabrent 512gb nvme pci m.2- $70 PSU - be quite 600w - $60 CASE - fractal design focus g - $54 Total = $714 This is my parts list I’ve come up with. Would theses parts work well with each other? I know the ryzan CPU’s need particular ram. That’s one thing I’m worried about.
That looks great. And, as for the RAM, some have shown through benchmarks that Ryzen CPUs do better with faster memory. (I believe 3600MHz is where there starts to be diminishing returns.) But 3200MHz should be fine. You could spend ~$7 more and get Corsair's Vengeance LPX 3600MHz kit... but, in the grand scheme of things, the 3200MHz kit you have will be more than good enough.
Thanks for this. I just knew I needed a 4 thousand dollar computer to game properly. This put things into perspective for me. I'll now look at the $900 build by Linus to see of its really worth the extra dough for my glasses needing eyes lol.
Can I change the ram? Also, is the motherboard capable of me having another hard drive? Will a different case still work with the parts you have selected? Sorry for all the questions!
I have everything plugged in and connected yet the Case fan won’t spin and the display won’t pop up on the screen. Any tips? I also have a different power supply. It’s the BeQuiet
The motherboard is not available in my country, can i replace it? If so what's the model i should go with? Is there any specific criterio to choose it?
can i use Seagate Barracuda Compute 2 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive instead of ADATA Ultimate SU635 3D NAND SATA III 2.5 Inch Internal SSD (480GB)
Hi, I’m Australian, I tried the links for the pc parts and all up they cost around 1450 aud (around 1000 usd at this time) with only 20 aud in shipping, is there anyway I can get this for the 1000 ish aud ( 700 usd ) price?
Some items aren't available in our country. If I take Ryzen 5 3600 + GTX 1660ti, G.skill ripjaws 8gb 3200mhz, Msi B450 mortar max, 550w psu and a 1TB HDD, can i put up a system under 700$?
It depends there are different motherboards for different cases. There is eatx, atx, micro atx and smaller ones for motherboards. You should go for a full tower tower or mid tower for an atx. You can google some more info
Ayydrian_DWN it would be about 60 dollars more I would advise you to get the Ryzen 5 2600x just to get a little more power at the same price as the 2600
If the cooler has been used then you need to change the thermal paste, so I’m guessing that he was reusing the cpu and cooler from a different build, meaning that the thermal pad on the cooler wouldn’t work as well
I can't give you a specific answer to that, as I don't play COD... but I'm assuming it will handle it just fine. This video will give you a good idea of what kind of performance you can expect out of this system in Modern Warfare: ua-cam.com/video/hbvvd4hce6E/v-deo.html Looks like about 90-100 FPS in multiplayer on higher settings.

@@bodasactra when i was looking for computer parts months ago there was a shortage so everything was price inflated or gone. Ive bought myself a computer instead or building already but thanks lol
Yes, my build is the same as his with a better processor : Ryzen 5 3600. PSU is CoolerMaster 550W bronze. Everything works flawlessly. To decide what PSU would be fit for your build, just add up the Watts consumed by every component of your build (info usually found on packaging or google search). Most psus work at 80% efficiency or more, meaning you'll get 550*0.8=440W out of your 550W psu at the very least. If the power consumption of the sum of your build components is lower than 440W, you're going to be just fine with 550W psu.
@netherite depends on the spare watts available from the psu and and the overclocking demand of the CPU. For R5 2600/3600, it's usually 20 percent higher (please check this number yourself with other sources), that means a R5 2600/3600 65W CPU would consume 80W in overclocking mode. If your build is the same as this thread, then I think you could overclock with a 550w psu. however, I do recommend you double check all the watt consumption of every component of your computer do some simple math and see if your psu has the spare power to allow overclocking.
@netherite Yea 1080ti has a larger power draw, so 600-650W PSU would be a recommded fit for it. Yes to all three, the case question you just have to make sure it supports full atx motherboards
What if I was to have a little extra money and bought a Ryzen 7 2700x and changed the graphics card to the 5600 xt.
I’m wondering that to
I have everything plugged in and connected yet the Case fan won’t spin and the display won’t pop up on the screen. Any tips? I also have a different power supply. It’s the BeQuiet
Are you sure your power supply and your parts compatible?
Can you make a video about the 300$ pc? I built it with my dad and it doesn’t work. We don’t know what’s wrong
The motherboard is not available in my country, can i replace it? If so what's the model i should go with? Is there any specific criterio to choose it?

Yes it will
SirZettabyte lol I already built it now I know it works😁😂 thanks bud

Will this be enough to stream apex legends high or ultra?
i'd also like to know if its good for streaming/recording/video editing.
Could definitely play the game at high to ultra
can i replace the gpu with a rx 580 series 4gb
Wait can you build computers inside of any tower or do specific towers go with specific builds?
It depends there are different motherboards for different cases. There is eatx, atx, micro atx and smaller ones for motherboards. You should go for a full tower tower or mid tower for an atx. You can google some more info
How much would it be if i replaced the 2600 for 2700x and would it be worth it?
Ayydrian_DWN it would be about 60 dollars more I would advise you to get the Ryzen 5 2600x just to get a little more power at the same price as the 2600

Why did u put thermal paste on the cpu the fan comes with a thermal layer

What’s the goo you put on the motherboard below the fan
Thermal compound/thermal paste
