It is interesting when you watch something like this. I watched one that did not include Stuart Duncan and then the next one had him number 2 before Michael Cleveland.
Perhaps you are not acquainted with Alex Hargreaves, Brittany Haas, Kimber Ludiker or Lena Jonsson. They are great fiddlers, in my opinion, better than most on your list. Good that you included Michael Cleveland though. He is one of the best.
It ain't a competition.
Johnny is undoubtably the best fiddle player ever. He defeated the devil when they duelled in Georgia. He even has a fiddle made of gold as a proof.
Matt Hartz is a great fiddle player, but in the first clip, Matt is playing guitar. I don't know who the fiddler is.
Jake Simpson is excellent.

Agree, also Lost John Ray. George Pegram's fiddle player. He is something else.
Charlie Daniel's said he was not! A virtuoso! And couldn't read music .he was good but not great!

Those folks can play but they are far from "TOP" players. Try you some Randy Howard, Ricky Skaggs, Sam Bush, Bobby Hicks, Ron Stuart, Aubrey Hannie, Byron Berline or Stuart Duncan. Those boys can show you how the rat got in the buttermilk!!!!
Your missing Lindsey Sterling, she is amazing and has more you tube views than all of the ones you named put together.
