- Wow London really is looking festive now. Today I pop down to Covent Garden to see all the decorations, the trees and the Christmas market. Then over to the famous luxury hotel the Savoy to see their beautiful tree and all the trimmings! Then along to Somerset House, ice skating anyone?

My late husband took me to London in 1999 for 5 days. Trip of a lifetime for us. We’re from Pennsylvania. So, we visited Convent Garden. Bought a teapot at Whittard’s which has graced my kitchen counter ever since. Always enjoy seeing the beautiful Christmas decorations throughout London every year. Each year gets better. I don't know why you think this wasn't Christmassey - it was perfect! I love Covent Garden, crowds and all, and it looks great. I'm not sure I could have made it through this Christmas without your wonderful vlogs. It's so very different here in the US, without much Christmas spirit, and biased as I may be, I think London is absolutely fabulous at Christmas. If I forget to say it - have a very Happy Christmas, and I hope you get to spend it with family. You are truly the best there is - and you bring such joy to this Londoner so far away from home.

I wish they had left Covent Garden as it was in the 1950s, with the old market still in place. I know! I know! Cities cannot stand still. They grow, they develop, they renew. Even so, that is one aspect of London which I wish had never changed. Thank you for the video!

The Savoy was definitely my favorite, the decor is superb and was intrigued by those two beautiful ladies in the portrait above the fireplace. I know what baubles are, I just think of how awkward the word is for me to say. Maybe it is for all Americans. It’s actually quite difficult, it makes my mouth cramp. 😆 I loved the Savoy! The art deco style, the painting of the the ladies, the ceiling in the tea room, the tree with the Holly and the ivy sheet music, the hotel model, etc. 😍
Your vlogs just get better and better!! I don’t think anyone does Christmas better than London. Everything is so gorgeously decorated and the restaurants and shops look fantastic. Thanks Hannah!

But Freddie says "Moey" in the Queen song Killer Queen! We've always said it that way in UK. Ah, 20 years ago in August I rode a horse on the Carousel in Covent Garden! Those were the days. 🥰
Lovely vlog of some of my favourite places. For some reason, as soon as I arrive, I go straight to Covent Garden! I love the tea shop called Mariage Frères on King Street. They have about 2000 types of tea and use it in their food menu. I love Ladurée as well. Their hot chocolate, served in a silver jug, is absolutely amazing! I also love the Savoy. We had afternoon tea there just before lockdown, and it was superb, I'd definitely go again. Did you know, the driveway bit up to the door is the only place in England where you drive on the right?!

Did we get your opinion on the Trafalgar Square Christmas tree this year? 🤣 The hand towels are £240 in the D&G pop up store and the bath towels are nearly £500. 😂

One of my favourite vlogs so far Hannah! I do love Covent Gardens. The Savoy does it so well and I loved the model of the Hotel.
The Coal Hole is my fave pub in London. My friend who used to work on Strand and his work mates would go there, so it was the first time about 14 years ago that I went to a pub with locals and hung around for hours by the fire place and had such a great time. I make sure to go every time I'm in the city (and they have damn fine fish and chips, I might add). 🤤😍

Thanks for the trip around Covent Garden. I used to work in a shop in the Piazza, and at Christmas it really was hard work. You just didn't notice all the festivities and decorations. So it's nice to see what it's like now. Loved the Savoy too, and the Coal Hole - used to see bands there back in the 80s! Cheers, Hannah!

Love Covent Garden and going for tea at the Savoy. I also love the pop up restaurants inside of Somerset House that they had one Christmas put on my Fortnum and Mason and also watching people ice skating, so lovely. Do you ever go to Allies Antique Market. I understand it is interesting. Do love going to the Cafe Royale Hotel at Christmas for tea and a lovely sweet. See the Garden Museum is a pleasant place to spend time and then we headed ver the Royal Horseguards Hotel for lunch. London is magical at Christmas.

Hi Hannah, love seeing all the giant decorated trees -- the Savoy's sheet music ribbon-decorated tree was my fave. I've been waiting to see what new earrings you'd choose -- can never go wrong with a pair of classic diamond studs -- you can wear them until you're an old lady (like me!) and look great.

Why do I like Hannah so much? Why is she my favorite UA-camr? It is her presentation, her personality and last but not least she is a lovely person ! I was in London and I must of missed her almost everywhere she was vlogging. I was at Covent Garden the day after it snowed and did my own filming. Was at the Jubilee market a place Hannah did not film and I got a rare Beatles single there for 5 pounds ! Home in the states now but looking forward as always to Hannah's next vlogmas !! Howard
I have loved all your London videos Hannah, but especially this one at Covent Garden. My friend and I always came to CG if we came up to London. We loved the Apple market, loved listening to the young musicians play, loved the quaint shops and always sat and watched the street entertainment. Lovely memories. Happy Christmas Hannah. Sue x

I do like some modern and whimsical decorations, but I much prefer the traditional look... and The Savoy had that in spades. Thanks for all the lovely vlogs so far Hannah 👍That Rubber Printing Stamp Stall was nice to see because I have a tin of those printing stamps like that which belonged to my Dad so when I wrap presents I use plain Brown Paper some Christmas Twine and print some designs on the paper like a Christmas Tree, Polar Bear, Snowflakes etc just for a little personal touch you know! 🎄🎁
