Stokesdale Elementary student hit by car while getting on bus

A six-year-old Stokesdale Elementary student is in critical condition after being hit by a car in Guilford County Thursday morning, according to troopers.
North Carolina State Highway Patrol said it happened around 6:47 a.m. on NC-65 near Self Road. 47-year-old James Michael Christman was driving a 2020 Nissan Maxima passenger car west on NC-65 when he disregarded the activated lights and stop arm on a school bus.
