Theory: Gohma WAS supposed to be in BotW, but since they took out the traditional dungeon, they lost her. In "Creating a Champion" they share that the Lanayru Promenade was originally called "the spider's nest." Why? Gohma dungeon behind the waterfall (my guess) So... With TotK reimplementing scrapped ideas, maybe they'll bring her back and put her in that area.
Considering BOTW brought back many old school elements, wouldn’t surprise me they’ve planned having it in BOTW, but couldn’t implement it. TOTK seem to scale up the implementation of old elements, and hopefully, many others which hardly appeared since, like Aquamentus.
In some development notes and datamined files, the Lanayru Promenade is still called "The Spider's Nest Mountain" , so you might be right actually. It would be a nice way to revisit this place, having a dungeon full of spiders and Gohma as a boss.
Weird that Gleeok has a bridge named after it near Mount Daphnes and yet this one planted its ass on the Bridge of Hylia. I have to wonder if other large monsters will block smaller bridges too?
My guess is that there'll be a couple Gleeoks across the world just like with the Hinox and Talus Which checks out since even in NES Legend of Zelda, there was more than one gleeok
@@NayruYT hopefully, instead of just changing the colour as they level up like in BotW the gleeok gets extra heads. I also want to see staldra, even as a stal version of gleeok.

Although there aren’t any regular guardians anymore, there technically still could be a battle tested guardian somewhere, and I think that would be a cool boss in Tears Of The Kingdom
Fantastic video! I really, really hope we get these as overworld bosses. Also, I believe the Hinox first appeared in the Dark World in A Link to the Past. I actually had forgotten they are in Link’s Awakening!
Would love to see a "Lore history of bosses" video to try and see what kind of stories the bosses have led Especially ones like Gohma that keep popping up. Like it obviously couldn't be the same Gohma but still. Might be cool
I think it would be cool to include Aquamentus as like a sidequest boss. Zeltik had this cool idea where you would be approached by a child at a stable, the child would say they saw a unicorn in the forest and ask you to go see it. Link would go into the forest, but instead of a unicorn, he would see Aquamentus, a dragon who uses his unicorn's horn to lure unususpecting travelers and curious children towards him to prey on. Initiate a bossfight in a forest with Aqua knocking down trees with fire and creating updrafts for Link to paraglide on and get a vantage point to fire with
Seems appropriate for him to be sitting on a bridge in the trailer. Seems like his most notable appearances all have him blocking a pathway, like a door or a bridge.
I do want to see a load of old enemies bought back, I have a feeling swimming will be the exact same, with the bridge being blocked off. When I first saw that dangling monster, that Link lit on fire, it reminded me of those long tentacles inside Lord Jabu-Jabu, when Link needed to use the boomerang.
When you mention Gohma being in underground caves, I was thinking that the Skulltulas could also make a return as well. They would be perfect for underground. Since they are also spiders, but much smaller than Gohma. Other enemies that I would like to see return: Wolfos Wall Masters Floor Masters Bubbles Gibdos Dead Hand (was in Ocarina of Time, but hasn't been in any other Zelda games since then) Poes Dark Nuts Iron Knuckles And other Zelda enemies that they could bring to Tears of the Kingdom. Honestly seeing retro bosses as overworld ones makes so much sense in the context of specifically Breath of the Wild's Hyrule. Dungeon bosses in this... era seem to lean more towards a mystic, ethereal, or corruptive aesthetic, with more traditional monsters being overworld threats. I really wanna see a reinterpretation on Moldorm. Skyward Sword had these gross demonic centipedes, and that would be an amazing bossfight in Tears of the Kingdom. They may have a damage resistance for their head and body, but their tail is, as per tradition, a weak spot.
