    Truly outstanding video. Professional, matter- of- fact narration, solidly accurate historical background information, and first- class aircraft footage. Well worth one's time to watch, and many thanks to the team who produced this.

    This is just so cool. I don’t know how this doesn’t have a million views.

      Thanks. Yeah, we agree -- we thought it was a pretty reasonable video too and would like to see it shared a bit more widely! ;-)

    The cool factor is off the charts on these airplanes. Every one absolutely beautiful

    Thanks for the lack of 'music', and for using a proper camera. Also the informative narration.

    I love this well done segment on Bölke. His Dicta were the absolute bottom line of all fighter training, even into modern times. It's hard to overstate how important he was. Beautifully produced piece!! Thanks for uploading!❤

    01:21 : didn't the D II have its radiators on the sides instead of in its upper wing ?

    • @HistAvFilmUnit
      @HistAvFilmUnit  4 місяці тому

      Think the D.I had side radiators.

      @@HistAvFilmUnit DI for certain had Windhoff ear radiators . Lots of modeling brands present DII also with them. OAW built prototype variants featured Teves und Braun wingradiators.

    Good flying by Knight and McKay at 5:15 imo, too bad they both were dead a year later.

    Adore WW1 aviation! It’s too bad that Boelcke isn’t as recognizable or famous as Manfred Von Richthofen

      @@HistAvFilmUnit I can't tell if you're being sarcastic, or if this is just genuinely a coincidence, lol.
      Greg's Airplanes and Automobiles. Very similar presentation style and narration to this video, I actually thought this was one of his videos for a sec when I clicked on it since he just uploaded 2 days ago about the Albatross.
