When buying silver proof sets on eBay, I usually check whether that seller also sells graded proof coins. If so, it could indicate that the seller is "cherry-picking" proof sets and reselling sets that he thinks won't get PF-70 (or PR-70) grades. Even if I don't ever intend to crack out and grade, I don't want somebody else's rejects.
Exactly.
Sometimes they might even open the proof set cases and put all their less appealing coins inside. Kinda sad.
For $130, the least they can do is include the American Innovation Dollars like they used to during the Presidential Dollar series.
I wish the US Mint would make the penny, nickel and the dollar coin in silver!
Imagine how awesome a silver sacagwea would look!
Awesome! Thank you for doing a video on this topic. You answered my question i asked you the other day 😃
got mine on auto ship. Way over priced but I got every set back to 1992
Im done getting suckered into buying the silver proof set and other sets, for such insane prices. I cancelled my sub. for the 2024 silver set. I'll buy it on ebay for around $100 next year. SMH.
I kept my subscription on this one. There are a lot I have dropped, mostly centered around the Morgan and Peace Dollars. The silver proof sets aren't a fad, they've been around awhile. I know i could probably get them cheaper later. I don't think i have FOMO. I've read comments here about sellers possibly cherry picking could to be graded and selling other sets with issues. So i guess it comes down to just wanting a set and bring straight from the mint to me, no middle man. Maybe they'll be good, maybe not, but I'd rather just have a set from the mint.
Yes they cost to much, agreed there. It's a hobby, i don't sit around worrying about making money over it. I'm not flipping them.
Good Morning SSS, I stopped my subscription for the silver proof set last year, overpriced 😡, if the mint continues I’ll quit other products
SSS Good Morning . The Silver Proof sets from the
Mint are to High . I use to buy 5 Silver proof sets . Not
now , I buy 2 now :-))
Thanks for sharing; see you tonight!
Would any of you purchase the 2024 S Jeff Nickle? On Ebay 40 of them are going for $84. Also, you should look at and research the mintage of the 1/4 oz 2024 Gold Britannia Liberty BU coin that was pulled of the RY Mints site rather quickly. There are none of these for sale on Ebay other than 1 of the Proof coins.
I've been looing into the 1/4 oz 2024 Gold Britannia Liberty; will do a video soon.
Happy Sunday all
Good Sunday morning sir and team. God bless you all.
I don't think any of those new proof sets will sell for that price until they are sold out on the website, but now I'm thinking I should cancel my subscription and just order on ebay.
Good question
Agree to much for what your getting.
Risk. buying from ebay involves more risk than buying from the mint.
Good morning !
They should save the reverse proof set for another year...2026!
All you Mothers out there, its "Mother's Day" not MoFo day , so for those of you with moms' still unconditionally loving , we gladly make way for this special day. Have a blessed one. & remember , See something Say something 🎯
Buyer Beware buying silver or gold on eBay...
The silver proof sets are way overpriced!
Mornin SSS
Hi SSS I will get The Silver Proof Set on subscription, Maybe a little overpriced, But I am not a "Flipper" So I will hold on to this one and I will bet it will go up in value in time.
I question myself as to why I buy from them. Like a lot. Especially lately. Overpriced.
The cent, small dollar, and nickel are not clad. They are alloys!
Thanks for sharing your opinion!
@@SonOfASilverStacker This isn't an opinion, it's a fact

The nickel is the only alloy coin in circulation
I stopped buying from the US Mint years ago, they are a complete ripoff and a very unorganized company. Proud of the mint you say, absolutely not. Why even bother talking about them.. Again way overpriced on all products. Never ever.
Prices would be much closer to spot as proof sets come in. Not a multiple times the price of the material as our service to the citizens of this great country as more 🇺🇸Proud Americans would contribute if the atmosphere were different. The lastfew decades we have really gone astray . For the People
