You know you have the "bypass" option in massive? That way you can get a clean sub in your patch. To do this, go to Routing, and select the B @ Osc3, make Osc3 a sine, -24, amp 0. Then go to the top right and use the bypass knob to get sub.
The frequency and boost knobs work together like a Parametric EQ. Frequency is like the left to right on an Equalizer and boost is the up and down. turn the boost up to about 3 o clock and then move the frequency know and you'll hear it. If you turn the boost up it will be like a bandpass and if you turn it down it will work like a bandreject.
Haha I follow you guys on soundcloud. Didn't even know yall had a youtube channel. Even funnier I go looking for yalls secret to your dirty riddim synths and here you are! Thanks for the tut. -theKingDiesel
Flangers are very very tight delays, and phasers duplicate the sound and move it slightly ahead and behind the dry signal. try adding a delay 2 and bring the time down to just barely above off. It widens things like a dimension expander, only you have more control over it. Another fun effect is to have a highpaass and lowpass filter both modulated in opposite directions.
+Jaaq Ess Yo dude, yeah I've learned a lot more since I made this tutorial including proper use of flangers, phasers ect and I do now know the frequency and boost parameters of massive are linked. Thanks for the knowledge though man.
It's a good wavetable to use but it's not the only one I use. Experiment with different ones and layer them together if you want to beef it up a bit. I used the smooth square to show you how easy it is to make sounds with the filters and inserts. There are a number of things I didn't go in I use when making patches because it's for the producers to learn by experimenting. Use performers, lfos and envelopes to shape your sounds. Try putting them on the different boxes and see what it does to the sound. Then you learn how it changes and it's part of making your own sound. I wanted to point people in the right direction to learn massive that's all. Just take away from this video and experiment. There is no rush to be the next big thing in Dubstep. Just have fun and research things you want to learn on UA-cam and music production articles. Articles are better I find as there is a lot of bad advice on UA-cam.
***** I use Vocodex a lot, really transforms the sound. Fruity delay bank is pretty good to play with. Just adjust the time and volume settings in the feedback section and set it really low for robotic style sounds. It just depends what you are want to achieve with your sound really. Maximus brings the sound out nicely, just play with the presets and if it's too confusing for you to get your head round play with the Soundgoodizer. It's Maximus presets made easy :)

I love you.
I love you too :)
haha i keep seeing your facebook pop up in my recommended, lots of mutual friends.
I get a lot of requests a day man ha ha! Just accept them all now.
Cool! I should get massive....
why does mine sound nothing like this to begin with? smooth saw and those settings with spectrum on sounds nothing like what yours does here
like can someone figure out how mine sounds completely different whilst having the exact same settings upon clicking the 'new sound' button?
i have the same problem, not even close to the same sound for some reason
Do you have an old version of massive? Are your patches in KSD or NMSV format?
The comb filter position is crucial.
Can't get anything close to the sound at 4:30. trial and error I guess
med u fuckin savage
lol i have the same ringtone on my phone i looked when i heard it.
HOW TO MAKE GREEN LINE???? please tell me
Automatical Rzy You mean the ghost channels in FL? On the piano roll hit the drop down box and go to helpers and ghost channels I think.
