Josh remains the best on-line teacher out there. His total Logic mastery and ability to explain things clearly and concisely (he doesn't waste our time), is a blessing! His videos contain more useful content-per-minute than any of the other YT "instructors", and this well-edited video is no exception.

I appreciate the kind words! I was a college professor for 10 years, and I particularly like the online format. I feel like I can deliver more material in a more concise format than in person classes.

Was having trouble with the studio strings in my song. This has given me a better Idea of which ones I should be using. I was using the single studio violins and cellos. The ensemble preset sounds better to my ears from this video. Never thought to use those. Thanks!

I'm not a beat maker, but what I learned from this was how to do individual articulations, note by note. Also, the doubling of the parts with Sampler is genius. I'm working on an orchestral track now and this is great!

Thank you so much for making this tutorial! I've played piano for years but am new to Logic and couldn't figure out how to bring up the Studio Strings properties and kept getting the Sampler properties. Thank you for explaining the simple (and probably obvious) need to click on the up/down pop up selector and having to actually choose Studio Strings/Stereo. Have watched several other videos of yours and am now subscribed and going to watch even more. Thank you, MTHG!

@MusicTechHelpGuy Very impressive !!!.. there are so many hidden gems inside of Logic Pro X.. Much better than "Pro tools" in just about every category ! Is there a more in depth tutorial.. also the way you used the panning feature to speed out the strings.. I think you accessed the psychoacoustic feature in LPX.. Why that instead of the standard LPX pan feature ?

Why don't you provide the session file along with your tutorials? It'll help to troubleshoot some things and is easier to follow along with your tutorial. My logic Pro Articulations don't seem to work properly, so your session would have been very welcomed. Thanks!

@@MusicTechHelpGuy oh! apologies then. People have different learning styles so having a session template to follow while watching can really help expedite the learning process for many people. I personally have no interest in using your licks or compositional ideas (no disrespect there), but the template would have been super useful to confirm whether or my logic installation is broken, as I've never been able to get articulation sets working correctly in logic. Anyway, its more about the learning style... maybe do a tutorial with material / information you're happy to share? that's what I thought tutorials were all about, no?
