My SD while attending HS with me did the exact thing Cloud was doing in the grass! he loved to take a few minute and just decompressing by rolling around and getting his zoomies out
I will have my service dog in school with me next year, my final year. The school system in Canada is annoying and require the dog to pass a certain test that "official" service dogs have to do even though there is no official licensing for a service dog, much like you and Cloud. I am hoping to have Kiki(my service dog) with me for at least the last semester though she will likely be with me all year! Wish me luck!
Kassy Sharpe I’m sure having to have another test almost like a barrier in the way of your and your dog working together. However I can definitely understand the schools policy. But then again they can’t prevent you bringing your service dog unless for some reason the dog was to act out of line, so my guess is the extra test they ask you do to is just to help prevent any possible complications. Good luck! I hope you both do well! ❤️
You don't have to answer, but I have a few questions and i'd appreciate it if you did. I also live in Canada (Quebec to be precise) and everyone keeps telling me to talk to my psychiatrist about getting a service dog (I have depression, general and social anxiety) ,but I am TERRIFIED of her. Most of the time she just makes me anxious and feel like total shit, so I have a feeling she'll say it's not necessary despite me having missed a lot of school, getting panic/anxiety attacks and passing out (she'll probably even say i just have to work harder and stop missing school or they'll lock me up in the mental hospital). So i just want to know if I absolutely have to talk to her or I can consult my psychologist or family doctor about it?
Gabriela Zepeda I don’t live in Canada but I do have anxiety. I think that if you hate talking to your psychiatrist, you should find another one (if possible) and see who else you can talk to about this.
*I have some questions:* *1)* If the halls are crowded do you have to wait and get to your class a few minutes late? (So she doesn't get nervous) *2)* Is she allowed to do her business on school property? *3)* Are you allowed to take her with you when you do SAT's or end of the year tests? (I know these questions are really random, I'm just curious, and if you see this comment, thank you for taking your time to read it. 😅❤️)
1: yes she can, service dogs are trained to not get nervous 2:yes, where else will she do it? 3: YES. She might have a episode during SATS and there is a slim chance the students know how to help her. Yes to all
Pooka A Trained Black Cat You misunderstood Lexi Zeus did not have the proper amount of training to go to school and Zeus was washed from being a service dog in training because he didn’t have the right temperament wash means basically he won’t do it anymore
baby enderdragon she’s a pit, and i know that sounds crazy but she’s extremely smart and so cooperative and hasn’t done anything to prove to me that she can’t do her job as she should

Hi! Love your video, I'm glad to see there are students out there that have service dogs. I am currently a highschool teacher with a service dog in Canada :) Wish I had mine while I was in high school so it is great to see!
I was just wondering if you use a harness or seatbelt of some type for Cloud. I completely understand that she’s your service dog so I’m not sure if she ever need to perform tasks while your in the car. But just curious on how you keep her safe in the car.
The Service Spaniel if it helps, I think most people (at least in my school) would find it cool. You get to bring a dog with you? Nice! It might take some explaining that they can’t pet the dog, but eventually they’ll probably become used to it.

Oh let them hate. Only worry about you :) Just remember, if they ever try to pet, or tell your dog to come to them, you have the right to tell them no. Even if its your bestie, NO. Its very disrespectful to a working animal to do that..

Charly M totally do it! You don't have to have a certain disorder to get a service dog. As long as it helps u cope you can do it. No public place can ask you for proof of training or what your disorder is, so your good!
mikia111 you have to be legally disabled to get a service dog. If you aren’t disabled under the ADA you cannot get a service dog. Companion dogs and service dogs are very different and have very different rights.

VisualMoss - - - QUESTION! Was Cloud trained to heel before she became your service dog? If so, what age did you train her at? Brush your dog (@7:47 mark) :P .... that said I remember it took several YEARS to finally remove all the furr from our Husky out of the house after he passed. I have to brush my current girl quite a bit but OMFG ... nothing like when we had the husky ... he was a shocker. Though was a soft and fluffy shocker.
@VisualMoss I have a service dog in training and will be getting her k9 good citizenship, and public access test done next month and was just wondering if you could tell me where you got that mat that cloud is laying on during you classes. I'm trying to prepare for her coming to school with me. If you could that would be great. But if it's to much of a problem it's fine.
I’ve been out of school for almost a year now, but plan to go back hopefully with my SDiT. Aiming for next year. A year behind but that’s ok, I’m not ready to go back, I can barely go anywhere. (College)
Emmy 119 I am aware that a SDiT is not a service dog, but it is up to the school whether they will allow a SDiT to attend so I wouldn’t say you can’t bring them to school.
I don’t have a service dog yeah my mom is still thinking about getting one in today my therapist suggested that I get one for PTSD depression and social anxiety
Hi! I have a chronic illness and I really believe a service dog would help me a lot. I’m in school and getting around is extremely difficult and painful for me. I hope to be qualified for a service dog but if I do I’m scared to take her to school, and anywhere in general, because I have really bad social anxiety and I’m also scared that a student may harass her or when we go out getting kicked out of a store or mall or something. I just was wondering if you’d share some advice and maybe some stories of yours with me and also how the training went for Cloud? I have a little husky puppy I would want to be my service dog if I’m qualified so I’d also like to hear advice on that as well if possible. Thank you and I love your videos 🥰
Alex Danielle that’s a long story that depends on the person It takes YEARS though. First getting recognized for your disability then getting 5-10,000$ for your dog and then training your service dog which takes at least 2 years or you take them to a program which costs more $$ So it’s a long hard and difficult process but it’s so worth it in the end
It’s important to make sure you always take time out to let your dog use the bathroom. If they have an accident, clean it up and remember to change something about your routine so they have more potty breaks.

A girl has a service dog at my school and he’s in the year book next to her with his own quote and he has a cap and gown for when she graduates :,)
Who is watching in quarentine??
Meee I watched this awhile ago but I’m watching it again
I don’t have a service dog yeah my mom is still thinking about getting one in today my therapist suggested that I get one for PTSD depression and social anxiety
I love service dogs especially cloud
Where i live you are not allowed to bring your service dig to school because people can be allergic like me but i still got a service dog
Did you get one?
She is like mom look at me im getting dirty for you lol so cute
I don’t know if this makes sense but I was just wondering how you went into getting a service dog. Like the process pretty much
Alex Danielle that’s a long story that depends on the person
It takes YEARS though.
First getting recognized for your disability then getting 5-10,000$ for your dog and then training your service dog which takes at least 2 years or you take them to a program which costs more $$
So it’s a long hard and difficult process but it’s so worth it in the end
I’m just sitting here eating bens and Jerry’s ice cream watching all of ur vids oof
What happens if your dog has an potty accident? Mine is still in training and that’s what im mostly scared of
It’s important to make sure you always take time out to let your dog use the bathroom. If they have an accident, clean it up and remember to change something about your routine so they have more potty breaks.
Girl if you didn’t give her the treat I wouldn’t of talk to you the whole vidcon trip LMAO
I did give it to her don’t worry 😅
VisualMoss I know 😂
i want a dog like yours its so cute
