Wild Amazon - Rainforest soundscape

- What do the remotest parts of the Amazon rainforest sound like? The soundscape is incredibly lush, diverse and immersive, even on a hot afternoon when humidity is almost 100%. The insect chorus is constant and piercing - cicadas, crickets, flies, bees, wasps, beetles and many others are constantly making noise. The bigger ones sound like miniature (or full size) engines at times. The small ones that get close to you might be looking for blood.
The birds are a bit lazier during the day but their calls can be heard echoing on the rainforest floor, from various distances and elevations. Toucans, pihas, macaws, parakeets, antbirds and scores of other species form a beautiful and talented ensemble. Sometimes mammals join them too, if not with calls then with movement in the canopy and water.
Lastly, non-living things also make sounds. Fruit falls from the trees on the ground or in the water. The river itself is a living being, making pleasant flowing sounds all the time. Soft wind and humidity dripping from vegetation can sometimes be heard. Every once in a while, a big branch will break and drop from a tree making a lot of noise.
Recorded with Sony PCM D100 and Clippy EM172 microphones in Madre de Dios region, Peru. Enjoying the videos I upload on here? Feel free to support me by:

I'm so grateful for you to have filmed this. I was trying to find the *actual* representative amazon sounds from when I was living there. Finding this was GOLD. so valuable. Thank you!

My pleasure :D Hoping to go back to the Amazon this year to capture more recordings like these.
Yes.. Please do.. It is amazing. Also, please try to get to Tikal and capture sunrize. It is out of the world
This is beautiful. A couple years ago I spent 2 weeks in the Amazon in Peru...an ayahuasca journey... I cannot tell you how much I love this sound track. It's been helping me relax and remember my time there... fantastic recording!
My pleasure, happy to facilitate such experiences.
I spent 2 weeks there, as well! Specifically the Marañón River for an Aya journey. I listen to this track to take me back to the experience. Love the Jungle! It’s such an amazing biodiverse, place.
I've had the same experience... Love this track to take me back there. Thank you!
I've had the same experience... Love this track to take me back there. Thank you!
Oh man. the splash at 4:54 scared me!
Imagine being there and hearing branches fall like that.
@@GeorgeVlad If only branches! :D When I was in Adolfo Ducke reserve, it was trees that were falling down regularly. We heard the noise each 1.5-2 hours, and one tree fell right near us. This actually made me think how big this factor could be in Amazon ecology, comparing to SEA where there the rate isn't so high. Of course, some selection bias might be in place.
1:02:50 Catches your attention!
Yes it does, haven't been able to identify the bird though.
Love it! At 12:08 a fly passes by right to left. I was listening and thought for a second it was in my studio!
Haha, I left that in for this exact purpose :D
Me too!
Fantastic to hear these sounds. I heard them from my two trips to the Peruvian Amazon rainforest and I miss hearing them.
Thank you for listening.
Wow!!!!!

Hello, Firstly, Amazing work!
I am writing a flute album currently with handcrafted flutes I have made. I was wondering about the copywrite and if i bought your amazon soundscapes from your website would I be able to use it in the background of some of my flute music?
Pavlos
Thanks Pavlos. Yes, usage in music where my recordings are mixed with other audio content is allowed. More details on my website: mindful-audio.com/eula
@@GeorgeVlad great thank you! I was trying to find the copywrite terms and conditions but couldnt find them. Thanks for clarifying!
Need more george
More Amazon content landing soon.
If I want to use this sound for a video should I pay or something? Or does it have free copyright?
This recording is copyrighted so you aren’t allowed to use it.
@@GeorgeVlad You got any place to buy sounds of the Amazon?
@@rodrickzero7248 Yes, I sell this library but the license does not allow use in UA-cam videos: mindful-audio.com/amazon-jungle/
Was that a gunshot at 59:32?
It sounds a bit like one but that was a branch breaking off from a tree and falling to the ground. This happens much more often in the rainforest than you would think.
