I love players with natural flair who does things on the pitch effortlessly. He would have made Fifa Ballon d'Or if he was south American or European. An African virtually have to perform 200% better than the best European or South American to win it. It's even worse now because we lack players with that natural flair. Money has got into their heads. Look at players like George Weah, Abedi Pele, Roger Milla, Okocha, and couple of Ivorian and Moroccan players in the 80s that I can't even remember their names. There were two Ivorian players in the mid to late 80s that anytime they played against Nigeria, it was always scary they could come up with any trick on the pitch.
@@nenezorkuadjartey9385you be mad, Weah was faster, more skillful and more dangerous infront of goal and he was still beating Abedi Pele anytime they met
It is because it was difficult for African players to have the necessary attention in Europe then. The opportunity to showcase his talent to the world eluded him until he was in his mid twenties.Inspite of his huge talent, he had spent the best part of his early career years playing for Real Tamale United,Niort Chamois and Mulhouse in league 2, Dragons in Benin and Alsaad in Quatar. He only caught the attention of the world when in the absence of an injured Vercruyse the Marseille coach featured him in the quarterfinals of the European champions league match against AC Millan in 1991.He emerged the best player of the match and the rest is history. He had groped for that platform since 1982.

If only the world took time to appreciate African players like they did to those of other continents, hmmm
Let me help you with Abdullai Traore of Ivory Coast, who's so forgotten today but who was as good and famous as the ones we mention today.
My best African football player Ever..
He had the force of a bull, yet skillful and athletic
Abedi pele should have won world best player before George oppong weah
I totally agree with you ... He is better by all standards ...
@@nenezorkuadjartey9385you be mad, Weah was faster, more skillful and more dangerous infront of goal and he was still beating Abedi Pele anytime they met
Une légende, Abedi Pelé
A greatest player , a legend ,skilled telented ,very fast ,he playes with his two feet ,head ,etc
When the world gotta to know abedi he was already old
A young abedi pele was a phenomenal!
Marseille president at time said that, abedi pele was the the best footballer he ever saw kick a round leather ball!!
