    Thanks for getting the information on knock off parts out there, my friends work in the aftermarket and it’s crazy that there are websites that specialize in selling knock off parts, starting with EBay, I learned my lesson years ago, only buy from a reputable reseller, Summit racing, Jegs, etc

    Great video, and appreciate you guys sharing. I am always fearful of this when making purchases from some of these big sites and auction sites.

    I got my pump from real street and I'm glad it's not a counterfeit cause honestly i didn't know that made counterfeit fuel pumps.

    Great video. I noticed you mentioned that a pre-filter is need for a in tank fuel pump, is it needed for an in-line fuel pump aswell when mounted outside the fuel tank? (Filter before the pump then another after the pump)?

      @AEMpowerTVelectronics  3 роки тому +2

      Yes! prefilters are required both in-tank and external installs. A filter before the pump helps keep contaminants out of the pump. A filter after the pump helps keep your injectors from clogging.

    This is great explanation, especially for people dealing with replacement original fuel pumps. I just purchased one in tank fuel pump 340LPH for my Aston Martin DB7 in line 6 -1997 production. I think it will be easy to install it based on what I have seen now. My car originally has 2 pumps. After testing my installation I will purchase second pump and finalize fuel tank installation for enjoying the car. Does anyone have any specific recommendations for installing AEM pumps on supercharged 3.2 l - 1997 Aston Martin DB7?

    Great video 👍🏽 If you’re Running a AEM ecu and fuel pump set up. let’s say if the fuel pump was to drop below a Dangerous range. can that be set it up to cut the engine through the ecu with a fuel pressure sensor?

      Some things can be over engineered

    Are your brushed pumps happy with PWM control? If so what frequency? I am working on a big single system for my Challenger that is more of an OEM+ setup. Building the circuit myself, using 5v analog pressure transducer for signal, converting to digital PWM for a motor controller.

    Hi guys. What’s the current on the genuine pump? While the fuel pump is in action. The video did not show that.

    • @AEMpowerTVelectronics

      Current will be variable based on pressure take a look at the graphs below:

    Hey guys I had just installed an aem 340 fuel pump in my 2017 Nissan 370z, I utilized the aem wiring harness and soldered it to the oem wiring and pigtail. Aem red 》oem blue and aem black 》oem black. Started up perfectly the first time and I had the car idle for about 12 minutes to ensure everything was fine, the car ended up turning off at the end of those 12 minutes and it would crank after. Any thoughts?

    • @AEMpowerTVelectronics

      For starters we don’t recommend soldering these connections, solder can make the wires brittle potentially crack. I recommend going over the install again, then if nothing is found please contact our tech support for further troubleshooting at tech@aempower.com

      eBay I just as much to blame, they allow known counterfeit sellers to continue to sell. I bought mine from jegs .
