Bro. Thank you. I was going through a nightmare. Had several codes first one was a misfire cylinder 1 and injector 1 circuit control. And a code for O2 sensor. Changed spark plugs coils and O2 sensor. It was the wire. Spent 21 bucks and replaced the wire and purring like a kitten. Thanks brother. A million times thanks for posting your experience.

Good information. I had a similar problem. Loss of power the Check engine lights, traction service and esc. Today aFter an hour a good mechanic troubleshooted and it was the battery cable on my car. I know with computers and high voltage it was electrical. I got a new battery 2018 and the battery post was a bit smaller. mechanic had to put a shim in so stop being lose and works great! Avoid dealers I took and when GM $750.00 to fix my car. I told him I’ll take to another mechanic. Gm wanted me to get tune up, throttle service, fuel injectors cleaned and more.
I was getting the same issue with the #1 cylinder misfire too! I changed my plugs and all four ignition coils. the problem remained. Thanks I will try this out next. I'm so close to having it all paid off and want to keep it for as long as i can.
Saved me. Been redoing all my wiring from left door panel to front Fuse box. Makes sense. All of this wiring seems to be cheap thin copper, heats up passed nominal performance range and shorts fuses or worse burns. Smdh Chevy should be sued for the entire 7th generation Malibu line, its like they didnt even try.
Yup. Last year I had to rewire/replace my fuse block in the engine compartment. The shitty copper wiring was breaking apart when the car heated up led to a no start condition when the car wasn’t completely cooled down, started accelerating on its own while I was driving especially when I would hit the brake (ended up rear ending someone) & melted the part of the old fuse box where the broken wire was.
Man I just went through this for 2 weeks. Mystery misfire. Brand new coils and plugs. Cleaned MAF sensors. O2 sensors were already changed, compression test, even did a injector balance test which was good. While the car was running I accidentally moved the injector harness and the car sounded like it wanted to cut off. Set it another way no misfire. Number 2& 3 injector wires were broken. Now it puts like a cat and my gas mileage is back.
I just did something similar to this I purchased a new wire harness easy to take off easy to put on also changes o rings to fuel injector cleaned throttle body and problem has been gone hopefully fingers crossed hope this helps
considering im now on my third headlight connector being fried I think its pretty safe to say the wiring sucks. i wonder if this is my issue. my check engine light has never came on for this but I always have issues getting power up hills

So I have a 2011 Chevy Malibu and when I’m at a stop and I start accelerating again it jerks and tells me traction control, I don’t know what the issue is but it really do suck and I need help knowing what it is, because I took it to get tested and nothing came up on the diagnosis test so I’m very confused of what it may be, any hints?
You have to watch the video it’s the wires. They are very thin and they short out and break. It’s not your throttle body it’s not your coil it’s not your traction control

Been going thru this issue myself every time I fix one wiring issue another one pops up…. GM should have to pay compensation to anyone that’s owned or owns one of these with their trash wiring…. Between out of pocket expenses and mentally stressing you out it’s enough to make you wanna lose your mind and just the the damn thing on fire
So all I would do to connect those butt connectors would be insert the wire on each ends and then pinch it down? Do they need to be touching inside right? Or?

The Low power reduced is the throttle body or the throttle body fuse going bad or fuse box itself I’ve seen this time and time again with these cars but it’s an easy fix
Man, I changed the coil, fuel injector harness and spark plug. Still no resolve. I bought new injectors so I'll go after that. I've tried changing the throttle body but can not get the thing to recalibrate for the life of me.
NiiLante Davis go to the injectors their are two wires one red and I think white but don’t quote me but each wire from the base feel the wire with you fingers and following the wire feel to see if the is a soft spot or a separation
When I put the small computer on I got some po's like the knocking sensor and ignition switch 1 and 2 .. I cleaned my throttle body and nothing I bought new throttle body and I tried to relearned it and nothing

I've wiggle the injector wires and car doesn't change or act like the wire is faulty. Please hell I've spent so much money trying to fix this issue. I had a crack exhaust manifold and bad cat converter all been repaired. Do you know of any other issues that may cause this. O2 sensors replaced, MAF sensor, cam sensor, vvt solenoid, spark plugs nothing stopping the bad idle and cut off.
@@davidmlner85 it the wires. Your going to have to diagnose the wire harness ..if all fails replace the wire harness to the full injection. The wires are REALLY thin and some were in there a wire has broke connection. Go back and look at my video. Check closer to the injectors.
Not the fuel injector. The wiring that go to the fuel injector.the wiring is so thin that after a wile the heat from engine are a power serge causes the wire to break. You want see it because its covered with plastic. You will have to get somebody to do a check engine light and it will tell you there is a misfire. Depending on which number injector that's the on you check the wire for a brake by feeling the wire for a soft spot. Go back to my video to see what I did.

Thank you now if for some reason you don't find it doesn't mean it's not there. Sometimes it's hard to find you may have to replace the whole harness.

Same for me! Goes into Limp mode when I come to a stop - gives me anxiety driving . No codes though. Gonna have to check this out

No just make sure the wires are secure when you clamp the in the butt connectors

Yes...they fitted these cars with thin wiring that doesn't hold up in heat.

You have to see fell if the wire is broken inside of the plastic sheld. But your probably better off just changing the harness

The problem there is the wiring harness...if you tug on wires for #1 cylinder, engine starts misfiring.

Not really I would start it and it would run really bad with no power to move. It would move real slow.
