I notice you have a WO Z73 (or maybe Z61 I can't tell which) attached initially. I am waiting for shipment of this scope as well as well as the mount. What are the extra pieces you used to properly mount the scope to the AVX mount?
Hi Kip, Thanks for watching. In fact, it is WO GT71 with 0.8x Reducer/Flattener. GT71 is a triplet while Zenith star series are doublets. Both GT and ZS series scopes are good for beginners. I used Celestron universal dovetail bar to properly balance the scope on AVX mount because the WO dovetail is too small. Hope this info helps. Enjoy your new scope. CS!
Mine came 3 months ago and i tested it and everything works good. I have seen people say it has issues and backlash so do you have any tips how to prevent problems? But i will start taking pictures soon and for powering i use a 12v cable which i just plug in into a nearby socket.
Pawan, thank you for this video. I notice that you used the AVX with fantastic results in many imaging sessions. Did you find it necessary to "hyper-tune" the mount or work on the internal elements of the mount to improve guiding precision? Thanks!
Thanks for watching and your kind words! Honestly, I have never done anything to this mount. It has worked perfectly well even since I bought it about a year ago. My total guiding RMS stays between 0.7" to 1.2", which is acceptable to me. All settings are running on default, except for the Meridian Flip, which I have to change sometimes according to the imaging target.
@@AstroCrescentDIY thank you, I'm glad to hear that. I ask only because I bought the AVX right before winter and have only used it for a handful of sessions so far.
Im waiting for the power tank to arrive. I just picked up an entire setup from a friend.. with a different telescope...Astro Tech refractor. But I can't test it yet.
The transcript at 0.03 says my name as 'ravan'. This should be 'Pawan'. Thanks.

One last question before buying ZWO ASIAIR Mini.
Can ZWO ASIAIR Mini control avx mount wirelessly? Do I need eaf control for Focuser for that ?
Yes. The wireless range is about 60 feet from the Wi-Fi router. Having an ear is a definite addition to your scope. Cheers!!
