Minor book changes: -Claire, Jamie, and Ian were not that far behind Roger. More on that in later episodes. -Much like Jamie's offer back at Helwater, John was slightly tempted by Brianna's proposal because she offered to also bear HIM a child, which would mean he'd have child that mingles his and Jamie's blood. But he didn't seriously consider it because he knew Jamie would absolutely kill him for turning his daughter into the "consort and broodmare to a degenerate sodomite." (I love thinking about the what-if, though, of Bree becoming her brother's stepmother and her children being Willie's nieces/nephews AND step-siblings.) -Brianna never considered marrying Forbes, but that was more for his sake than hers because she didn't feel it would be fair to marry someone under false pretenses, but a marriage to John would be entirely honest. -Brianna didn't tell them Roger was her husband to give him an out if he didn't want to be father to Bonnet's child. But I do agree, if Jocasta is so convinced that he's dead, then there's no harm in telling everyone Brianna's husband is dead. If he comes back alive, great, they can just say it's a miracle. If not, the baby is no longer considered a bastard, and she doesn't have to marry any of those fools that are obviously after Jocasta's fortune and just think it's a bonus that this beautiful fertile young woman comes with it. I mean, ugh, these are the same people that thought Jamie and Claire were so ridiculous for being anti-slavery. It doesn't occur to them that Brianna would have the same "sentiments" even after she told them about her portrait of Phaedre? Or maybe it did, but they figured that once she was married, they could shut her up because legally a wife is not a distinct person but rather an appendage to her husband. *Shudder* Thank Heavens for John giving Brianna the space to carry her child in peace without having to deal with Jocasta's "MacKenzie" machinations.
"Briana is more like her mother..." -no truer words, Anna, no truer words! I believe once the travel party returned to the village, Roger was being prompted to "run the gauntlet" to become one of the Mohawk.
I'm here to say Jamie Fraser isn't the wonderful man we all think he is. On chapter 5, page 66 of book 3 "Voyager" Jamie drop kicks a little dog! (Well, to be fair he kicked him in the ribs and sent him flying for chasing the chickens and the dog ran off so he was okay)
I woke up and saw it was just blocked. For 5 seconds of the movie. Makes it very difficult to react to foreign films when companies try to claim copyright.

"No GPS...No Map." 😆
The trial is to see if Roger is a Mohawk or will be a slave
Running the gauntlet.
Yes if He would have made Till the end without ending on the floor, He would have been free.
There are few characters, in any story, that equal the champion that is Lord John❤
He may not be a "main hero"... But he is a champion like no other 🥰
It wasn’t a fair trial. Roger was hungry and thirsty and exhausted.

I hated Claire's cuddling of 20-year-old Brianna after she had kept a secret from Jamie.
she isn't planning on actually marying lord john and he her, it's just to buy time ! :)
I'm hoping that is the case!
Woo! Catching your reaction whilst it's red hot!! Can't wait to see this reaction, quite a few classic moments!
If Roger can succeed in running the gauntlet, then he will become a Mohawk, if he fails then he will remain a captive.
And it makes sense to have a gauntlet. You don't want to invite weak or cowardly men into the tribe.
Love watching your reactions!
Diana Gabaldon can be tough ion her characters kind of like George RR Martin.
A really bad Soul Train line 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Psychology didn't in in the 18th century and the word psychology didn't exist.
