Music video by The Verve performing Gravity Grave.
The Verve is one of the most influential bands in the history of Rock, this band will be remembered for being the most versatile in contemporary music
This is so trippy I can't stop replaying it, Excellent, hi to all Verve fans.
Hi, brother Paul!
@@mrmojorisin9667 Hello Brother Ali!.
Hello!
Hi😊
early verve were probably the greatest band on the planet at one stage.
Aye, early Verve was solid, not sure what happened to make them change it up so much. I just couldn't get into the later material at all, and I tried, HARD. Verve and Spiritualized were my top two.. you can imagine my headspin when Kate Radley left Jay for Richard.
Nah beyond this planet but more like the Galaxy
I think that's all in your mind
Verve.. Blessed 🍀
There was a live session on Radio 1 years ago, maybe on John Peel, and they were astounding. When the original line up broke up the magic disappeared.
This is pure verve. Takes you on a journey.
This song feels like the greatest trip ever.
The Verve = Timeless, consistent, genuine, magical music
(and even much more)
Especially much more.
Gravity Grave - lyrics
Get back, get back again and again
I've been here since I can remember when
My life is a boat, being blown by you
With nothing ahead, just the deepest blue
To me you're like a setting sun
You rise then you're gone
To me you're like a setting sun
You rise then you're gone
Come back, come back again and again,
I've been here since I can remember when
The world just spins whilst mine stands still
Nothing's changed in your gravity grave
To me you're like a setting sun
You rise then you're gone
To me you're like a setting sun
You shine then you're gone
To me you're like a setting sun
You shine then you're gone
To me you're like a setting sun
You shine then you're gone
But I want your light
So bright it burns my eyes
Sounds like a perfect way
To end my life
To me you're like a setting sun
To me you're like a setting sun
Thanks dude!!!
I wish more people could understand that The Verve is so much more than Bittersweet Symphony.
I heard this song on the radio and went out and bought their first album on cassette back in the early 90's.
Jesus...
The most underrated band of all time.
abhishek ghosh I don’t think it’s underrated
It’s one of the greatest bands of the 90s with one of their songs being used for the football and made parodies Of with vindaloo
And the trippy Awesomeness Which was early verve
Not underrated... Just a band where their egos weren't ever going to let them continue as a unit....
@@TheYorkMan You mean Ashcroft's ego.
As usual, the token 'Underrated' guy who is on just about every UA-cam video.
@@phishcatt No... It was a collective group of egos....
This is song is everything psyquedelic rock should be
Psychedelic....
No, it's more how Shoegaze
@@mocho12100 more like space rock but the vocals r shoegazey. early verve is complicated there almost like dream pop but not pop at all. so dream..... rock??? idek
@@mocho12100 Nah it's more space rock than shoegaze. Although they're very similar obviously.
@@mic-ps1qt shoegaze is a mix of a lot off different genres so yeah
ONE OF THE BEST SONGS OF THE VERVE!!!!!!!
early 90s was so much innovative than mid or late 90s. this just proves it.
Dat bass riff, man.
i love your profile pic man!
dat guitar
mccabe was a god. barely got the recognition he deserves.
My god this song is so addictive, makes me fly! Love it!
Be careful. Humans can not fly.😮
Epic. Can't believe it's been 30 years.
The sound of this and the words so deep
This songs show us the true feeling of a rocker: the freedom
The first 3 Verve albums and the b-sides... I never forget to revisit them a few times every year.
Simon Jones' bassline on this track might be my favorite bassline of all time, especially on the original, unedited version. The live versions at Camden ('92) and Glastonbury ('93) are the Verve at their heaviest and most intense (alongside "The Sun, The Sea" & "Butterfly").
Have to be honest , the like/dislike ratio really surprises me. Maybe the uneducated don't realise that the band started out writing deeper , more spacey stuff. Classic track/video for me
Second you🤘
No taste in life
Did UA-cam stop showing dislikes? I’m seeing 20k likes and 0 dislikes
now we can’t even see the dislikes anymore
I was never a great fan of 'indie rock', but from Day 1 I always felt Verve (cos that's how I still prefer to remember them) were significantly different from other similar bands of the time - much more ambitious + very open about that being the case. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE their early, psychedelic stuff - TRULY AWESOME & (I felt) when they were most 'vital' : thanx 4 putting this out cos it's reacquainted me with some seriously great music that I'd allowed myself to miss for a quite a bit.
I absolutely adore this whole genre, omg. What a gift to discover all this beautiful music I missed during my childhood before the internet
This is music! Takes you to another world!
God I love this man. I love the Verve. Have done for years and always will
Same
Just discovered all of this early Verve stuff. It's incredible and NEVER gets any radio airplay here in the US.
Just discovered this too! Too cool. Only song that got airplay was Bittersweet Symphony.
Some of us remember...
Their first 2 albums were awesome
The visuals perfectly match the song!
Deep, atmospheric and real for me.
Great song. This just takes my mind away.
Real art.
My life is a boat being blown by you, with nothing ahead, just the deepest blue... But I want your light so bright it burns my eyes! Sounds like a perfect way to end my life...
Heroin
@@LuckyRowlands or maybe he's claiming to god
One of the best band in 90s
This the perfect song for living on a cloud or sitting in a washing machine at low speed...Cheers, Gun.
One of my favourite songs, great sound.
tune!!...love driving to this!! on a Friday going out of work!!!
I think it might be my favourite rock song of all time.
The two songs I prefer from the Verve are Gravity Grave and Appalachian Springs... Their first and last songs... They're feeding my soul..
soundtracked my mid teens. weed. acid. dark winter nights. Thanks lads.
Right up there with their very best.
I wish they’d kept the same producer for ASIH as they did for Verve EP.
Sound track to my drug filled depression youth ...what a album
wish the verve would reform or go back on tour
The sound of a band hitting their stride, fucking beautiful melancholic genius
Real masterpiece, keeps me haunting for years now. For me it is TheVerve on its best. The combination of the song with the video, recorded in urban aerea in Hartlepool (UK), is a perfect match. The Dodge charger 1973 fits perfectly and makes it haunting. What a car!!! .
Kind of makes me wish I was there with them.
I will never ever stop listening to the verve til' the day i die.
I respect that😊
I've listened to this song like five times, it's addictive....
They had the sound!
A journey that will never end...
Magical atmosphere in this sound..
I never Heard nothing similar in My life
The like/dislike ratio is one of the great mysteries of modern world.
+omistust I got this covered. It's the emimusic channel which must be more of a teenagers channel. Kids need mainstream.
Hmm yeah, that's a reasonable explanation.
well that's judgemental. i'm 15 and i find this EP woefully underrated. hipster enough for ya?
Judgemental it may be but are you denying most of kids listen to music that is in fashion? Very few, apparently including you, go by their own taste, most are following others to belong and to fit in, so they will listen to what others are listening to. When people get older they will get more confident in themselves and more comfortable on what's their own thing. Are you disagreeing?
*most kids need mainstream
The Verve antes de que fueran mundialmente famosos.
1993 When Verve were proper Verve.
I love early verve, because there early stuff with there first album was definitely had that shoegaze sound of the early 1990s with a jim Morrison approach. They definitely had influences from the stones, the doors to bands Like LoOp and Slowdive.
One of the best songs i've heard ever !!
plus the video
@@uttaradit2 ظ
Hartlepool , seal sands road , headland throston service station, and horseshoe tunnel at steetly works are locations in this vid
It's all good here
Thanks for that I thought it was America. I think that’s what they want you to believe too. Excellent video.
Thought it was America too!
Who’s that woman who gets to kiss Ashcroft??🤬
This music is gold!
one of the best things i've already heard
Lyrical poetry! But musically Nick McCabe was a genius. Simon Jones could play the bass as good as anyone. Peter played drums better than most. I personally think we lost a band that could've give us more. They all clicked when it mattered but fell out when it didn't. Love The Verve! ❤️
2:23 ..... just takes me into another world
+Anurag Sharma So amazing, the reason why life is worth living.
+Anurag Sharma I have drugs for that
Rethess Sorry to hear that
So Verve at Wigan mill on the pier, around this time. They were bloody epic.
I LOVE this music video!
I can leave the world for awhile thanks to This song.this song can take you where ever you want it to.
I love the bass in a lot of the verve's stuff
Pure quality, I can't cope with how good this is.
When is listen this music, feel like travel with verve.. In that video..
If i good at english, understand all lyric.. But they have enough a make me to dance
Just keep working on it man, English is a hard second language because of all our stupid rules. However you'll get it eventually.
Though good music is good whether you understand the language or not.
Thanks man, really thanks.. I've kept to study english. Now i'm really better than the 2013.12.26. And your rules are not stupid. Your mind and thinking way is incredible when i study english, i felt it.. For going over the english, i deep into the english.. Your direction sense is above others. Even the roma empire.. Anyway --Though good music is good whether you understand the language or not.--- really nice sentence. Thanks man. Even i can't understand lyrics in listening, but the feeling is possible to dance and drunk.
This is a masterpiece
The best psychedelic clip ever, and of course great song, amazing!
This song is just awesome. I love RA and Verve so much. The guitar in this is just absolutely insane and RA singing is just beautiful. Legends. What an album what an album. AMEN. They crap all over the beatles and stones. Richard and The Verve you LEGENDS. ❤❤❤
Obra de arte.
Gravity amd grave aren't always the same.
Awesome song,great band!
It takes me to another dimension. Amazing!
Greatest psychedelic trip ever!!!!!!!
best video of all time
Pure class
I want to say Thank you guys for your music, plus, this is one of my favourites, there are so many, Song for lovers, Love is noise, etc.
You know that song you put on when you want to test a new stereo speaker setup? This is the song I put on every time.
What a song
rock music for geniuses and the patient.
Stoned is cool. Patient is cool. Thumbs up to you brother/sis.....
your comment makes me feel special.
This song and video clip is a whole vibe
The Verve will always be known as "Urban Hymns" but the true fans know their early work was superior.
Remember these guys were like 20 years old when they made this..... epic.
The kid serving Nick McCabe around the 3:12 mark is genius
No. The MILF is ;)
Best of the best!!!
What's with dislikes ?! What the actual FUCK !? That's some fucking Rolling Stones managers and their cousins disliking.
+Klaus Smooth. Fucken hell yes I AGREE with you! WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE DISLIKING the Verve? I dunno but get a life! Verve getting dislikes? You guys lost your mind with Trump....yeah, all the Rolling Stones ass kissers!
Breathtaking
Wow. Never SAW the vid before, i like it even more now that i see the Charger. Lol. Ummm...yeah, I was fortunate enuf to have had many a mopar muscle back in the day, and the 71 Charger Super Bee gotta be my fav. Same basic body as thr 73 here, but with a sh×tload more kickass options. I kept that one for a looooong time. What a great tune to go with it.
Verve , northern soul ! Best album ever made ? Yeah i think so
The Verve and Mopar, two of the best things in life.
como me encantan tus canciones
how fookin good is this, all the original verve is raw!!!!
Amo demais essa música! Me leva pra outra dimensão! ❤🇧🇷
Eu curto!
Ho man the memories of the old brus cafe long gone now on one of my favourite bands videos 🥰😍
2:50 this moment of the clip has a extremely dark feeling, cant explain. The married woman (look at the ring at her hand) holding on the wall, the old man looking (in the corner of the door), the kid distracted serving the man who seems to be upset about the situation
Świetna muzyka :)
Really dig this type of music in this video + all of the band, The Verve in the video, also+ especially Richard Ashcroft
Much too cool awesome
Essa junção Música e clipe torna tudo muito sombrio .... Épico
This sounds a lot like Catching the Butterfly.
i didn't think of it. defo have a similar vibe!
I dig a lot the type of music in this video + all of the band The Verve, especially Richard Ashcroft.
im listening this in oct 2015 , anyone else ?
+Robin Singh Nov
+Robin Singh Why would it matter? It's on the internet so it's accessible by nearly anyone at any time.
:D
+Robin Singh No.
Haha....
Hey, Rock and roll will never die.
