I love all the songs from RENT whether the musical or the movie--but something about One Song Glory really makes it stand out. Its not any one thing, its everything about it. The simplicity and directness of the lyrics, the power of the vocals, the choice of which words to put emphasis on, everything about it is awe-inspiring
It's the classic I Want song. And I feel Jonathan put a lot of is heart into because it's essential want he wanted.

this is probably my favorite song in the play/movie. my performing arts camp is doing this show. tonight is our opening night. the director actually split up this song between Roger and the "ghost" of April, plus background singers scattered around the set. it's so beautiful that way.
I like that how Adam looks when he's with April (short blonde hair) is what he looked like when performed on Broadway for a little while.
