This is not a video to bring any hate/toxicity towards another player. I put this message out to bring awareness to how the FGC can be, especially when you have 'pro/notable players' use their platform to bring even more toxicity. Please keeps the comments respectful.
13:59 Real talk when someone is lucky enough to have a platform in a niche community like the FGC they should use it to uplift even if theyre salty. I have alot of respect for players like Brian_F who do their best to hold that salt in to not discourage others from continuing their journey here
Years ago I spoke with LTG. Told him I was a big fan and had some nice words before the match. I ended up beating him and followed up saying GG. I was then bombarded with angry insulting messages from him. Some years later I ran into DeadAce online and beat him. I went to his stream and said hey that was me GGs or something of that nature. He responded by blaming the lag. At this point I've chosen not to interact with most of the high level players because of these instances. It's a shame.
I dunno what was said, but I'm like the worlds biggest Snake Eyez fan and this seems like a very fair video. Congrats on the dub. Keep your head up dude.
Eh, Snake is really just a content creator and streaming hermit now. He's been a pile of Gief salt for a while now. He barely leaves to go to offlines anymore. Hell, he doesn't even do online weeklies. Don't think he's got that pro spirit anymore. Kobayan is the new face of Gief.
Couldn't agree more with you on your commentary at the end. As a high school teacher running an eSports club, my students mimic and follow my behaviors. If I act extremely salty when I lose, the next generation is only going to copy that from me. Teaching how to manage one's emotions is what today's youth need.
I've always thought snake eyez mentality was holding him back. He's kinda got a big ego for someone so soft spoken. He went to one tournament with his potemkin in strive, mostly filled with no other pro strive players, and acted like he was the best ever for winning that tournament. Spends all day playing and doesn't even go to real high level tournaments. If he wants to stay in his room all day and play online, well that's just some wasted talent, IMO. He never gives any respect to his opponents, always acts like they are idiots, even when he loses.
It really makes me appreciate the streamers who don't trash on randos just because. I ran into Big Majin a while ago in Tekken 8. He steamrolled me. Chat was doing what chat does best but Big Majin said something to the effect of sometimes we have those games where things don't work out. It should go without saying that you should be responsible with your platform and not shit on players for beating you or being easily beaten.
I just started sf6 recently and tuned into that giefs stream twice and he has the biggest L takes on balance and ignores ppl who disagrees with him when he has no response. Guy just wants to live in an echo chamber. Maybe if riot fighting game does well therell be enough new community and new chance for positive ppl like you to grow.
Yes and no, I think Snake Eyes is a bit bitter rhe game isn't how he would like but that's an opinion. He hasn't done anything to harm anyone. Also he's been here for a while and while it's true he was socially awkward these past years, he put in the time to help and talk to people in A LOT OF MAJORS. Ignore him, that's what I did personally.
agreed. you, smug, and sometimes brian f and sajam are the only streamers i feel i can truly watch without there being a rough sense of toxicity to what should be a fun video game.
First time hearing about this but that’s disappointing for Snake to act that way. I’m a Gief main and you played against him like you’re supposed to. Nothing to get salty about. The only people he should be salty to is Capcom and how they made their characters (and personally, I’m happy about the overall balance of the game, well maybe not Bison lol), not just another player. This isn’t a tournament, it’s just ranked. Maybe Snake should compete more in real tournaments, and get offline for some time.
Yeah I dunno what was said - but if a Gief main ever gets mad about lame play they're completely out of pocket - that is literally the name of the game.
I'm kinda glad I don't follow many pros/skilled players or watch their streams. I just watch their gameplay from other content creators where I can get hyped with the player's skills without being distracted by their BS 😂
Wouldn't it be more feasible for you to change how you feel or for you to change how you react to what happens, rather than pinning your hopes in a change in another?
Getting trash talked is part of it, I've been trash talked by top players before then became cool with them, it's all in the game. He didn't insult you as a person. You should be proud of the fact that you're even in the convo.
You soft for that one, if people talking shit after a game, that's just that "banter". You should've shown the other games y'all played 2 where you ain't get no chance to play at all. I'm not hating I'm laying out the truth
Crying about how someone else plays and making excuses when you lose isn't "banter", it's being a thin-skinned narcissist. Take the L and get better. Now take their nuts out of your mouth and quit simping, it's embarrassing.
he literally has some shorts titled "Snake Eyez Styling on me" where he gets demolished and is appreciative of the beatdown. Just like 11 days ago man. AMKIDD does put up his losses and takes them well with a smile on his face.

Big problem with American FGC is egos! Players in Japan help each other why can’t we learn from each other?
That'z not 'necessarily true either. There are egos in Japan too. Just find yourself a group of motivated players and lab.
Good adaption after the the 1st set, really disappointed about Snake Eyez' behavior.
Keep up the great work AM
well done! absolute legend this zangief and you did very well

I don't know about the best anymore, seeing how Kobayan is been cooking with Gief.

Well played, and well said.
Try beating him with Ryu next time!
Dude is a great player but he is super arrogant i cant watch his stream.

I heard about the drama but idk what happened. Did he tell his chat to harass you or something
Snake is toxic af, and a lot of Giefs look elsewhere for tech now (Kobayan, Itazan, Junior)
Junior is Snakeyez
